It's crazy that such a short song, could be so lyrical, and powerful, and emotional. For so many YEARS I have been hearing this song and it to this day CONTINUES gives me mad chills throughout my body, every damn time. This song, will always be my absolute, favorite song. Ever. And when I meet Shayley one of these days I'm just going to hand him a check, and say thank you for first of all, this song and the rest of his heavenly music, and for inspiring/helping me, to live a happy life, with no fucks given.

This was Shayley Bourget singing. I think them losing him was as much or even more heartbreaking than Austin. But now they're both gone. Shayley left because of severe depression.. emotional trauma can be as bad or worse than physical

Still here after 11 years .. was in middle school jamming this album, buying it at Hastings, downloading it to my Xbox, playing Skate 2, and having this on repeat… i put this music onto so many people in my life from siblings, parents, friends, and the people i met along the way… been a wild fucking ride and it continues. Thanks OM&M especially Shay &’ Austin🙌🏽

Shayley is NOT a dick. He's so nice. I talked to him for a while before crown the empire came on , then I told him I had to go. That just goes to tell you not to believe what other people say about artists, find out for yourself.

My parents heard me blasting this song in my room one night and the next morning my mom confronts me and was like, "Could you stop being so emo? It looks bad. Why don't you listen to normal music like most girls your age?" What? First off, what do you consider "normal music" to be? It's my own personal taste, I'll listen to what I want. If you don't care for it, I respect that, but know that it means something to me. And second, just because I listen to this kind of music doesn't not make me emo or goth or anything of the sort. This song solidifies the reason why I miss Shayley in Of Mice & Men. Dayshell is a great band, but this is the band in where he blossomed into what he is today. Much respect, Shayley. You're a tremendous bundle of talent.

The Flood is honestly my favorite album by them. It sounds like raw emotion to me and feels so real.

I had their album for a while now and been skipping the calm songs, I wanted to listen to the heavy music. I left it to play nonstop one time, while taking a walk, and heard this for the first time. I didn't understand (or cared to understand at first) the lyrics, but DAMN ! As you've said, Goosebumps like crazy every time I listened to it ! This song became an instant favorite.

They will never ever top this album. Shay's lyricism was literally unmatched by anyone in the scene at the time. Something as simple as adding screams behind shays fucking unaccountably beautiful singing is a kind of artistic move you dont see in metalcore anymore, especially in songs like this.

This is their best song from this album. So melodic, and perfect balance of acoustic and singing and screaming.
