This is the song I used as an example when “arguing” with my mother about metal and metalcore. Like most from past generations, she doesn’t like the screaming bc she doesn’t “understand” it. But I explained that once she understands WHY they scream (the sheer pain, heartache, passion, etc), then she will start to WANT to understand what they are saying. Showed her this song and her face went from disgust at the beginning, to tears in her eyes. She understands now.

I remember doing a project on this song basically about why you shouldn't judge s book by its cover type thing so I played the song in class then after it was over people voiced their opinions saying it's devil music and all that typical stuff then I passed out the lyrics and played the song again and they were shocked

I FEEL This song. It always makes me tear up. I lost my mom to liver failure 3 years ago and my dad is in hospice with glioblastoma ( an uncurable brain cancer) I'm only 27. And also an aspiring metal vocalist. My dad's mind is gone and doesn't even know who I am hell never know that I'm gonna make it he'll never meet his grandson....it definitely changes you man it's hard never thought I'd lose both parents before 30

I love this song so much because I, too, lost my mom at 17 and I'm 27 now. She passed from emphysema just after I finished my junior year of high school. There is so much that has happened in my life since that day, some good and some bad, but I've tried my very best every single day to honor her memory.

If you haven't already looked up the definition for Marfan syndrome, it's basically a disorder that affects the tissues, organs (eyes, heart, ect), and skeletal structure in the body that is passed down from generation to generation to generation. In short, Austin himself inherited Marfan syndrome from his mom through genetics and has to live with it for the rest of his life. But thankfully he's going through treatment to help

There aren’t two sides to the allegations on Austin, there are the multiple women’s story, and Austin trying never to talk about it. Austin was also kicked out of the bands in the months before the news broke, which means that the whole band knew what was up and he immediately started milking his very real medical issues and leaning hard on the Christian angle to his career.
