Of Mice & Men - Bones Exposed (Official Music Video)
Музыка
Of Mice & Men's song "Bones Exposed" comes from their album 'Restoring Force'. Buy/stream at ofmiceandmen.lnk.to/Restoring...
It's like loving a lion that cannot be tamed,
I snap at the thought or the sound of your name.
Pulling teeth from my stomach,
you've been eaten alive.
My blood fills your lungs,
my soul, your inside.
My feet they stand on ashes,
from the fires that you've made.
Burning bridges,
just to save your face.
If I say I wouldn't be hostile,
could you say you would do the same?
If we're all made just a little bit broken,
tell me who is to blame?
I'm sensing a feeling picking wounds of regret,
that left alone there's no scarring ill dig & ill dig,
scratching & itching ill keep biting my lip,
from this pain that I'm feeling,
picking wounds of regret.
A cut cannot heal,
unless you leave it alone.
I'll open mine daily,
leaving bones exposed.
If I say I wouldn't be hostile,
could you say you would do the same?
If we're all made just a little bit broken,
tell me who is to blame?
Standing on ashes from the fires you've made,
burning your bridges just to save your face.
Wounds of regret.
If I say I wouldn't be hostile,
could you say you would do the same?
If we're all made just a little bit broken,
tell me who is to blame?
We're broken, imperfect,
we were all made the same.
We're broken, imperfect,
we are all to blame.

I don't understand why everyone is giving the clean vocalist such a difficult time, I think his voice is amazing.

Joshua you just named the two worst screamers, (if Vic and kellin even classify as screamers) so you're right about austin'so screaming beings unique, but comparing him to shit vocalist like vic and kellin isn't saying much

i wouldnt call his screams unique... i cant place who he sounds like now but ive definitely heard it before. I know on The Flood he sounded like a rip off of Mike from TDWP (which isnt a terrible thing). Hes pretty good but i wouldnt say unique.

I think this music video is about the man who sees through everyone's skin, seeing everyone as bad. Even though on the outside they look nice. When he finally falls on the ground he sees two thug like looking people and thinks they are going to be bad but they end up helping him out, being good people. After that he looks at his arms and sees he is like everyone else. Even later, Austin's bones are exposed showing we all the same, we are good people but also in the inside we can be bad people. This is just my interpretation.
@MissPaigePotter
10 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's how I saw it too! It's showing everyone has their secrets (skeletons in the closet etc) and that we shouldn't just judge people on face value. Gradually through the video we see more peoples 'bones exposed' to show that everyone, yourself included, has things they hide about themselves and in the end we're all made the same. Such a creative video!

God just because girls happen to like a band doesn't mean its less of a band.. that's such a shitty sexist notion that seems to live on every comment section. It's so disturbing and it needs to stop. Why do I have to feel sorry for being a girl because my presence as a fan lowers the amount of respect men have for the bands I like?
@TheChocolateChip100
9 жыл бұрын
That's not even the point. It's that the overly-obsessive, obnoxious and usually fairly stupid fangirls and fanboys over-popularize and ruin it for everyone. All they care about is suicide and telling everyone that "RAP AND POP SUCK and anyone who dislikes this band is stupid" and making up all these weird creepy tumblr accounts, pointless song quotes and crazy ideas that these bands somehow "saved their life." And somehow, _definitely_ a coincidence, every single one of them like the same bands. Bring Me the Horizon, Pierce the Veil, Of Mice & Men, and in their eyes they cannot be accepted unless those three bands are the center of their musical interest. Kinda scary. It's also that the band became freaking generic when they got popular. There were only a few good songs on RF. So it's not necessarily a sexist thing, it's just the group (of mostly girls, but many guys) that want so badly to be hardcore/elite and fit in with certain groups of people that they almost literally drive themselves insane, as seen through social networking.
@DaniAh
9 жыл бұрын
I just don't understand how it matters what people do/ feel about the music they like. And I think the correlation between these bands is due to the similar music and the way the bands engage with their fans. They're all also friends.. so fans are kind of friends too. It's actually really cool to be apart of something like that - to see people that you met at the last concert you went to. And Maybe those bands did save them. Hell with exams coming up and college debt stacking up for a degree in something I probably wont enjoy I've definitely thought about jumping off the nearest bridge... but hey I haven't been to warped tour yet and PTV is coming in a couple months. Let people use these bands as an escape, it shouldn't matter to people like you whether it's healthy for them or if the bands even care about them back. Just let them believe in what makes them happy.
@TheChocolateChip100
9 жыл бұрын
DanieBritsRainCloud The bands hurt their fans more than anything. The fans don't realize but these people ONLY want their money and are coating these horrible things they do to their fans with positive-sounding messages with a hidden negative meaning. Anyway it's not like a band could physically save anyone's life, it's an impossible situation, and it's just a meaningless phrase, or an excuse because someone is afraid to kill themself or isn't actually suicidal in the first place, or a lie, or something they use for sympathy, etc. It's not actually true. They make up all these things and they start believing it. Not to mention the fans are obnoxious. Like the whole "you hear the screaming, we hear the meaning" or "not all heroes wear capes" as if those were somehow meaningful. Like how did stuff like "You're f*cking worthless" "I should've f*cking pissed on you" "Party till you pass out drink till you're dead" "That left alone there's no scarring I'll dig and I'll dig" etc inspire kids and "save" them? And how are they so ignorant as to believe things like doctors and psychiatrists can't help them, and that firemen and police and soldiers in the military don't help and don't deserve to be hailed over these bands? It's all selfishness when it gets right down to it. Plus they use this type of music in negative ways, depressing them further. So it really worsens their situation. Not to take anything away from people who are depressed for good reason, I sympathize with those people. But people who actually cause their own problems or just make things up for attention is becoming an extremely popular thing to do on this side of the internet.

The guitar toss and spin is pretty bitchin.

I froze for a second when I saw this on my feed. I'm so happy for Aaron. He's doing so well for himself. Great job guys.
His voice is so unique, I can't help but to hear his voice in the middle of class.
Bro this band is amazing on all the right levels. I loved them in concert as well.
Austin and Aaron are one of the best duos in metalcore history. It's unfortunate Austin hadta leave, but Aaron still has alot of talent himself

WHY CAN'T IIIIIII?!

I love the BLEGH @ 3:00 so powerful and instruments, this bit just carries me away :D
Everyone's just like: "i don't understand what the vídeo is about" Well, i think it has a lot of meaning with the song. This guy could just have been hurt for the first time (it's like loving a lion who can not be tamed/my feet they stands on ashes from the fires that you've made) and he starts to see people as they are so he gets afraid (if i say i wouldn't be hostile, could you do the same?) and he finds that not everbody is bad for being "monsters" at the same time he realizes he's a monster too (if we're all made just a little bit broken) so he learns the lesson (a cut cannot heal unless you leave it alone, i'll open my mind dialy, leaving bones exposed -maybe to remind himself not to forget the fact he's imperfect as everyone-) he feels bad and come with the girl, and the girl stills there because she may knows what he's passing through (tell me who's to blame) so she don't judge him because she understands (we're broken, imperfect' we're all made the same). You are giving to the daiting part much meaning but this is not a song about a couple, anyway idk, just my opinion.

Wow, I'm glad there is someone else with a great interpretation of this song. I posted one and got a lot of good feedback like you did. I think it's really cool how you interpreted it that way that's a cool way of looking at it.
Austin is definetly the #1 top 5 screamers in my opinion, say what you want but damn he is the scream GOD .
@TheChocolateChip100
10 жыл бұрын
Not even close. He used to have a good sounding scream but that stopped back in 2011. Never in his life, now or then is he even one of the 50 of all time. The only good thing about it back then was it was high, now he can hardly do it anymore.

Better extreme vocalists: Alex Koehler, CJ McMahon, Phil Bozeman, Ian Baerer, and Dan Watson.
More or less, once you have an "awakening" you perceive and act around people like this.
Song never gets old!
Tbh, I used to hate this band. I thought they had like three good songs and I hated most of shayley'a vocals. But I love this new stuff, this song is great. Consider me a new OM&M fan.
