God it’s so crazy how time flies. This used to be all I listened to back in highschool and now it’s a whole decade later

I use to play this song on my phone on repeat while I slept. Of Mice and Men brings back so much nostalgia of me being 13 and struggling so much with depression and abuse. I'm here, I'm alive. Thank you.

This song is a pure masterpiece. Never has a song made me feel so much emotion through its words and tone, and Shay's passion in this song is amazing. This is why I love Of Mice & Men, they bring meaning to their music and communicate beautiful ideas.

Me and one of my exes used to have an alarm set to this song to go off every night at 10pm. No matter how far apart we were we knew we would be hearing the same song at the same time. I was 12 when I first heard this song, struggling with depression & self-harm. I felt alone as I didn’t really have friends. I remember being awake as my family was asleep, listening to this crying trying to sleep but wishing I never woke up the next day. I would get beat up in school & just wanted it all to end. I struggled for a while, even tried to take pills at 15/16. I’m now 24, going on 25 with 2 kids. I still struggle with depression, but not like I used to. I’m glad I’m alive. This song brings back to many feelings I can’t describe, but I am thankful I’m alive & here today. 🤍

My best friend introduced me to this band when we were kids. This song specifically got me through dark times at 12/14. Unfortunately she passed away 2 years ago but this song still helps me feel close to her and remember the things we got through together. Miss you Madison 🖤

My older sister played this song a lot whenever she would read And I remember hanging out in her room laying on her bed with trying not to fall asleep but eventually doing so She would put a blanket over me and just let the song play and some other softer songs This is one of those songs for me that bring back memories like that and I get so emotional whenever I hear this song, my sister is still alive she’s almost 24 in 3ish days she’ll be 24 I’m forever grateful for her and I love her so much She’s the reason I listen to this type of music

Most nights when I'm laying in bed struggling to sleep is when I have panic attacks but this song makes everything seem fine. It lets me take my mind of world. Oh my god I found a really old pic of myself with these lyrics written on a piece of paper in the background above my bed and I was so confused but I googled the lyrics and I’m so glad I did because wow I fucking adored this song

coming back to this song stings a bit because I listened to it while imagining a future with someone who said they loved me but didn't. still a beautiful song, I played this before I slept since it was so calming

Same except for the part where I'm still a bit stung by it. Two years after they broke up with me, I met my now husband so now I listen to it with a sense of nostalgia and reminisce on my younger self.

Been listening to this since 2013 when I was a junior in high school, never would have thought I’d look back on those times with happiness, there were some very rough times but the memories I made were great. There was just something so great about this time in post hardcore, I don’t think the genre will ever peak like it did back then. I’m just glad I was able to have this song growing up being almost 25 now it’s crazy how time passes. Love you guys
