I really love the music when Big-face teleports in to save Abe, so awesome.

That was my favourite part of the game too. The music serves the scene so well and the "whoh" always makes me laugh. As nice as the gesture was I really would have just preferred it if they upscaled the original and threw in a quicksave.

oh yeah, this original good ending is WAY better.. they took everything out in the new one, probably because they got in a hurry to release it.. -__-.. they should've kept the original style, just made it more up to date and possibly even more cool.. but they didn't.. the part when big face comes in on the original always gives me chills..

This ending feels a lot better after you witnessed the horrors of the bad ending first

I dont know if anyone else noticed this, but at 0:23, the Slig actually falls out of his metal pants after getting struck by lightning.

There's so much depth to the Oddworld universe that hasn't really been explored yet. I hope Oddworld Inhabitants makes tons of new games exploring all sorts of stuff within the series universe.

Wow! This ending looks almost like a concert in Oddworld! That stage where Abe and the Ancient Mudokon is, it'd be perfect for Mudokon bands with a lot of Mudokon fans with Scrabs and Paramites as security guards!

This is the best game ever! Plain and simple. Its been a life time since I first played this and I'm still obsessed with it.

I absolutely LOVE the oddworld games! My best friend got me into them when I moved to jersey when I was a kid. The ending for this one was awesome. The mudokons using their powers to save abe was amazing. I love how ancient their magic is. Using their powers to control the weather like that. And I love how the mudokons teleport...so cool.

@HarisMaster we had the demo and strangely as a kid it never scared me, but when I watched the opening sequence a few months ago I shat myself. This is a proper horror game, sick humour, helpless protagonist, the works! Screw Resi Evil, bring back Abe!

@stscool I'm pretty sure it is. A solar eclipse happens and your dog is kidnapped. He then goes to his treehouse with the spaceship and flies off to go save him. Crashed in canyon and that's where it starts out. You may be mixing in Out of This World/Another World, where the main character, Lester, gets teleported to some unknown planet, he wears a black t-shirt. He has an alien companion, but no pet dog.

I got this game when I was 8 as a Christmas present from my sadistic father. Abe scared the living crap out of me. I tossed the game in my junk drawer and never saw it again. 13 years later I found this game on the PlayStation network and ordered it for my ps3, played it nonstop, beat it, and got this ending. I cannot believe I wasted all those years afraid when i could have been enjoying an amazing series of games. It was almost as if in liberating Abe and his comrades, you liberate yourself.

That's funny because Abe said "I thought I had a good job".

He laughs and slaps him on the back with a friendly meaning but accidently makes him fall.

Secret areas. If you hear a noise but there's nothing in the screen your in. Then there's a secret on that screen. In Abe's Exoddus, secrets are marked by piles of bottles of Soulstorm Brew.

I know many reasons: 1. The Mudokons are a peacefull race. They only use that stuff as a last resort or defense. 2. Chant suppressors. 3. They need to be close together. 4. They probably need that thing filled with that fancy liquid.

there was a way to save 104 slaves so that your score at the end would be -4 but you would still get the same ending

@dsalangsang The fun thing about this game that every level was a puzzle of sorts that you needed to figure out. It is a gem of a game thats for sure.

They made another for PS1 called Slig Storm where you played as an albino slig that had to avoid being killed, but it never got released D: D:

@JDeSilvasLegacy I originally heard it on a Xbox's SentUAMessage video, found some research on it on Wikipedia and Game Informer. Currently there's no platforms announced, but I assume PC/Steam, Xbox Arcade and PlayStation Network. I know that the same company (Just Add Water) is making a HD remake of Stranger's Wrath for PSN since it wasn't on PS2 originally (only Xbox). They are also planning on making Wrath of Odd (an RTS announced back in 1998 but was canceled) as well.

@stscool Ah, you're talking about the wonderful game called Heart of Darkness. The story of a boy named Andy on the rescue of his dog, Whiskey. Great game and probably has the most violent deaths of any rated E game ever released. Love that game.

omg i love this game! i remember playing this with my friend when we were like 7. Pretty bad game for a 7 year old, but me and my friend were addicted to this. we used to come home after school and get straight on this xD. This is definately the best game ever. Were 14 now tho so its ok.

Cool, I like this ending. So sad to see poor Abe pleading over that meat grinder. :-( I love the scrabs, but I HATE those big green slugs in Abe's Exoddus! Just so irritating. Hehe! Sure, the mudokons are only so appreciated when all Abe's work has been done..
