Ocala Florida VLOG Part 2 - Tuscawilla Park and the Hotel

After visiting the town square in Ocala we decided to head to the nearby Tuscawilla park which is not far and was a pleasure to visit near sunset. After that, we'll look at the hotel room at the Holiday Inn Express located 5360 E Silver Springs Blvd that we stayed at for the night.

Thanks for all of your videos. I grew up in St. Augustine and have commented on some of those videos. Again, thanks. I currently live about 3 blocks to the east of the playground at the start of this video. Very calm neighborhoods with small parks and playgrounds. Affordable. Very different vibe than on the east coast where I grew up. The best thing is the peace and calm but in an hour and a half I can be in St. Aug, Daytona, Orlando or Tampa. Hurricanes are also not much of a concern here. The only thing I miss is the salt water.

I just watched and commented on the prt one of your Ocala video and was so glad to find prt two and see that you discovered Tuskawilla park, its one of the best things about downtown Ocala. Ocala has recently tried to connect Tuskawilla park to downtown via the enhanced pedestrian walkways and road bike paths from the very nearby town square using the old railroad right of ways square and that's nice. For the last year plus I have been employed by a non profit working with a city/county partnership that cleans up litter in all of the Ocala city parks - we pick up litter as well as empty all of the trash cans every day. We use a van that holds 10 people and cover about 10 to 15 parks every day in four hours. We do this with massive hustle so one thing I didn't like was the idea that Ocala only has Tuskawilla Park - that and the downtown square were the only parks you happened upon but they are not the only parks that we clean up all week long.

I'm glad I discovered it to Matty. That's pretty cool you guys clean up the parks. When I was looking on the map leaving the Square this was the only park nearby I could find. Obviously like you're saying there are more parks I just couldn't find them in the short period of time I was there. Plus it was getting dark so I had to choose one close by

La is mandating everyone wear masks indoors again, and San Francisco followed L.A. and is “strongly Urging” everyone to wear masks indoors in that city. Decided to sit tight. Going to Disneyland on an overnight visit instead. Since it is located in Orange County, the LA mask mandate does not apply there…yet!

People from all over the world bring their horses and compete in shows there. Also, one of the largest facilities in the country for selling horses is in Ocala and is called Ocala Breeder Sales.
