McDonalds is DESPERATE To GET PEOPLE BACK

Now that customers have been walking away from eating at fast food restaurants they are making desperate attempts to bring customers back in offering meals practically at a loss in hopes to drive sales higher. If the economy was strong, and people could afford higher prices at fast food restaurants they wouldn't have to do any of this...

    I used to work at mcdonalds, quit back in june 2023 due to the mental abuse and false accusations against me. My coworkers were all friends and family so they were biased against strangers like me and all sorts of other shit I won't get into. I would see the prices rising by 10 or 20 cents every fucking week, for every month I worked there. It was just a slow creep in hopes people don't realize prices are going up. I would have customers say 'hey this used to cost this why does this cost so much now?' All the time. I felt horrible charging absurd prices for such shit food that was literally killing me to eat. I had no other place to go for a half hour lunch, it was either eat there for free or eat nothing since I didn't have time to go get food elsewhere. I started bringing my own food to avoid the horrible stomach pains and agony McD food was causing me. The food is toxic to eat and costs an arm and a leg, I don't care how 'convenient' it is, fast food is not going to last in this economy. Especially if they keep firing people and replacing them with AI, most of the money they make comes from employees and their families along with poor people, but if you price out your own employees and poor people, then you're going to die off. Your own fault.

For one YEAR, I used 5230 k Wh and the total cost was? $258, gas would have been $2462. So electric works if you charge at home and have cheap electric. Do the math before any purchase as you always say! Also only cost about $500 to install the charger, have to do that math too because it could be thousands. My wife and I enjoy your videos. They always make good common sense. Thanks.

    You inherit the car bruh! So do the math again if you had paid for the car. The amount you think your saving on gas vs electricity, is paid upfront when an electric car is purchased. An electric car is about 2 times more expensive than a comparable gas powered vehicle.

    People know SO LITTLE of what these stores do for the people who need these jobs. Its also an on the job training center for kids from age 14 and up. First jobs, they supply a recognized GED for any kid who dropped out if they want for free. They supply management classes and a graduate diploma in business management for free. A major step up that starts at about fifty grand per year. millions of kids out there work for McDonalds. and about the food they say is bad? How are fish eggs beef cheese pickles onions tomatoes lettuce buns muffins bagels steak french fried potatoes hash browns oatmeal pancakes great coffee orange juice apple slices garbage food? how much does it cost you to go out and buy those things? Everything they used is timed, everything has a sticker on it for last date of use. Anything over time in the sandwich area is tossed, and at shift change all the food left over can be taken home by KIDS or adults for their kids to help feed their families, who in a lot of big cities little siblings go to bed hungry. Think about what you are saying.

If people were allowed to peek above the ceiling tiles they would never eat at them again too. Animals in the ceiliing are coated in an a thin layer of grease (from the air) as they slowly break down into dusty peices, free to blow onto uncovered foods and containers. If you love your body, just dont.. All of this on top of it being man made chemicals forced into the shape of 'food'.. I feel sorry for the people that work in these places. The grease builds up in their lungs, skin, body. It coats everything eventually.

    We don't really care if McDonald's goes under. Ray Kroc built the McDonald's business model in the 1960s. Most of the franchises don't even own the land underneath their own buildings. McDonald's corporation makes most of the profits while franchise owners go broke paying $15 an hour or more. To me, McDonald's represents corporate greed at it's finest. It's really a pyramid scheme. The restaurant owners make chicken feed. The corporation bags the cash. That's why I can't stand corporate America. It's all about more money for the executives and the stock holders.

    People know SO LITTLE of what these stores do for the people who need these jobs. The stores are run by local employees.

    People don't know the real story behind these so called carbon neutral cars. By the time they mine the lithium, which is an ecological disaster in and of itself, not to mention the exploitation of the people they hire to work in these mines, to refining the lithium, then to produce the batteries, you break even at about the 70,000 mile mark with a gas powered vehicle. You never really do though because it takes energy to produce the electric they use and the vast majority of that electricity is produced burning fossil fuels. It's a scam. Then, as if that's not enough, what happens to those batteries when they die? They can't be recycled as of yet. I'll say it again, what a scam. How often do you use instagram, do you use google maps, what other fast food do you buy, male or female, age, renting or owning, how much did your employer direct deposit into your linked bank account, and so on. The more data points they acquire the more they can profile and predict your patterns, the more your data is worth.

    Yeah, 56 cents per kwh is extremely high. I have had an EV for nearly 6 years and I don't think I have ever encountered such a high cost for charging. I usually pay between .20/kwh and .30/kwh for public charging. At a charging station that charges the much more reasonable and average price of .25/kwh, the total would have come out to $37.50 rather than $84 as Mr. Bordenaro calculated in the video. Also, 150 kwh is an unusually large battery pack. The 2024 Tesla Model 3 long range has a battery capacity of 82 kwh. So 82 kwh at the rate of .25/kwh comes out to $20.50, which is what the price would be if you charge from completely empty (0%) to completely full (100%). $20.50 is much lower than the cost of gasoline Mr. Bordenaro put in his Jeep, as discussed in the video.

  • @passerau

    @passerau

    @55points Ok!!! Let's use your logic and do some basic math. You claimed that everything has doubled, which is false, but let's assume it's true. If the operational cost (ingredients...) were eating into their profits, then how on earth McDonald's was able to have a revenue of $25.76 billion, which equates to a 10.04% growth compared to 2023? Not 3%,or 6%, or 8%, but 10% growth in just 12 months, which represents $2.6 billion. The reason is extremely simple: McDonald's is overpricing its products, using the pandemic and the supply chain disruptions as cover to raise prices and keep them high, even though those issues have long been resolved. McDonald's buys wholesale and also indirectly owns many farms, food suppliers, and food sources. Trust me, the increase, if any, is usually extremely marginal and sometimes very negligible. Also, more than 25 states still have the minimum wage between $8-$10 TX,TN,AR,UT... I don't think anything is cheaper in those states either. Ty🙏
