The lady with the black hat is from the Victorian / Edwardian era. Her manners also express the time instead of the 20s which we stereotype as more loose fitting.

This show has so much potential and is full of iconic characters. I like how the teacher treats history class like gym class, Blatsy is so wholesome and definitely doesn’t deserve the extreme bullying he gets at school (who’s with me on going to that school to make the bully leave him alone) and ghosts, don’t even get me started on the ghosts.

Making this into a full animated series is and has always been our dream for the show! 💜 However, until the show is picked up by an animation studio, we've continued telling the story as a COMIC series -- there are 6 whole comic episodes available to read on WebToon: www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/obituary-episodes/list?title_no=335715 -- you can think of them as a prelude to the full animated series later. @@theloudstarkirby4203 When we pitched the series to Cartoon Network and Disney, back in 2016 and 2017, they both chose to pass on the series, unfortunately. It wasn't the right time for either of the studios -- Disney, especially, because they already had "The Ghost and Molly McGee" in concept at the time, which they thought would be too similar a show to our concept. We are hopeful that we will be picked up in the future, though -- either by those studios or another. The best way fans can help is by spreading the media we do have the resources to produce (this pilot, and all the comic episodes) as far and wide as you can. The more networks see the demand for this show from fans like you, the stronger a case we can make to them.

This NEEDS to be a show. I'd watch the hell out of this. All episodes, on a binge night, with nothing but the spookiest of lighting on spooky month.

This was well done but damn I have seen this plot so many times before. Protagonist with something unique about them goes to HS where either A(girl) get bullied by the "mean" girls or B(boy) gets bullied by the jocks due to them finding them weird and later becoming close friends with a kid who is also in the same boat and/or is a social outcast just like the protagonist. I'm sure many movies/shows come to mind when this is read.

She’s never had anybody be genuine with her, she has never had healthy boundaries because she’s been given everything, and June gives some semblance of reality and meaning to her otherwise unsatisfying unauthentic existence. She can’t process June in a healthy fashion, and the only way she can be sure someone is authentic is by being a villain to them. If someone is openly against you, at least you know they’re being real.

Actually Steven Universe, and others are making more audience to the network, I can see their future is better than Nick and so on... And honestly I don´t think this plot is super interestig, maybe for Disney with their normal plots for normal people, with the same gravity falls/star vs the forces of evil over used style, the difference between cartoon network shows is that they are more experimental and are more wide to explore the main plot with subplots, likable character with complex development. Things that you remember forever. That works for me, to explore ideas.

Haha though we're very flattered, we accept that coincidences happen. One of the biggest coincidences: we pitched this show to Disney at the time when The Ghost and Molly McGee was already in-the-works -- another show featuring a teen and a ghost. Of course they had to pass on the concept, because they had something too similar already. It just happens sometimes; two ideas come from different places and converge.
