OK .... definitely a very good analogue multi-effect !!! But in the video what configuration is used ??? Is the NUX TRIDENT connected to an amplifier ? is it connected to FRFR amplified speakers ( which ones ?), is it connected stereo or mono ??

we can see a single jack going out to the unit, so it's mono. then, I expect that what we are listening is the pedalboard straight to the audio interface, so that we listen to the actual modeling. it'd be pointless to listen to a real amp or even worse a FRFR getting recorded from the camera mic. unfortunately it doesn't sound that great (at least to me), so the latter might eventually still be the case

Great demo thanks! These boxes sure have come a long way, the first one I bought was a Vox with the tube in it I forget the name, then of course the first POD.

Thx for the deep diving into the Trident! I've got one question: can the s/r also be moved to every place and be programmed on/off? As an example, before the amp-models, so I can use it as an on/off loop for my favorit boost/drive pedals?

Yeah, you just step on the delay pedal a second and/or third time for tap tempo. Not a bad feature but it means you can't rapidly turn off the delay if you hit it by accident or decide you don't want to use it - any second step within the maximum delay time is interpreted as a tap tempo, so you have to wait a second or two before hitting the pedal again to turn it off.

Several ways. Into the Effects Return of a tube or solid state amplifier. In the front of an amplifier if you set it "flat" enough. Effects Return is best. Connect straight to 1 or 2 Powered Studio Monitors. Connect straight to a P.A. (powered) speaker. Connect to a "class D" amplifier (cheap: Mooer Baby Bomb; expensive Seymour Duncan Powerstage) - then into any guitar speaker cabinet. Use what you have before buying anything else. I used an old Crown P.A. amplifier I had laying around, and run it into a 1x12 guitar speaker cabinet I have.

i get they want the accesability of all the parameters bit bigger screen would have been better... its so tiny if ur lookin at it from standing position

I had high hopes...but I returned it. Not enough ways to alter the tone onboard (sure, lots of knobs but they dont change it enough 99% of the time). The tone is just lacking...but hey...try it and decide for yourself.

I knew it! That's why I won't waste my money, all these mid tier modeler manufacturers got everyone in retarded DSP trance! I'll go with the best when I get the money with a Fractal Axe FX III or I'll just continue to shred on my $60 Zoom G1on. These modeler manufacturers CEO and sound engineers are laughing all the way to the fking bank! After they party with their wealthy friends of course.

Hmm, wants to be a standalone modeller, but almost unusable with tiny screen. Wants to be multi-fx but can only use one of three fx of each type.. unless you use the app, so it's not that flexible for live. What even is this? May as well just sell the software and a midi controller at this point. edit: on reflection I guess that's what this is.. but can you edit presets in the software, save them on the trident, then recall them without being connected to the software? I didn't specifically see that confirmed here.

Thats exactly how it works...tweaking your presets at home with the app...and recalling it live without the app...and for live use you dont need a big coloured screen....well at least i dont 🙂

Seems dated compared to the competition, especially the screen. Toggle switches?... Dated by around 10 years... NUX need to update to 2024....

Everything is getting repetitive. Can't tell the difference anymore. How little do you want to spend? What features does one desire?

not so great of a review. where are the clean sounds closest u got was a delay based chorus thing sorry but its time to get someone who can play and utilize sounds. this guy has 1 speed.

You want a clean sound? Go straight into an amp on the 1st channel... This is not for ultra clean sounds primarily...
