    I use this mouse everyday, it was a last ditch effort to avoid carpal-tunnel surgery and it worked! I've used it daily for three months and have been pain free for one month! I even game with it, it took a lot of getting used to but after two months my performance was about on par with a regular gaming mouse. That perfor,amce did not come with a lot of frustration and learning but if its that or surgery, you'll learn eventually :)

    @@glendagregory6551 in my case the keyboard isn't a huge problem. I still use an old razer BW keyboard and I go weeks at a time pain free. Though none of this is a cure of course a it doesn't fix the underlying cause and overdoing it on the typing (im a fulltime programmer so now n then it happens) it'll act up but I just wear a splint and take it easy for a day or two and I'm back to my normal. Tldr of your pains only in your hand and your confident it's carpal tunnel syndrome and not something else this mouse can make a big difference without changing your keyboard! :)

    I am glad that you threw in that MX Master 3 comment at the end. The ergonomic arm position of the MX Vertical vs the MagSpeed scroll wheel of the MX Master is a key consideration. I compromised to have the MagSpeed. I am a data scientist that scrolls through a lot of tables and data and was starting to have knuckle pain. Switching to the MX Master has pretty much alleviated that. If scrolling wasn't an issue, the vertical sounds like a really good alternative.

    Thank you! 💖 I have a problem where the outside of my wrists subluxate, because the inside tendons are congenitally short and excessive "normal" mouse movements can cause a lot of pain over time. I just found your channel because I bought the redragon 552 keyboard but I've learned a lot watching your videos. I was told to use my wrist braces at the computer but that limits my movement too much, I'm definitely going to go to a store that has this to try and see if it fits my hand.

    I've been using this mouse for a few months now. I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in my right wrist. It helps but it lacks definition in the small movements for pixel-perfect Adobe work, so in some cases it's even extra effort. I guess it's just a bit too light. I have an MX Master 3 coming for these, as well as a trackball. Once you get CTS you start fearing anything even slightly cumbersome. For day-to day use like browing the web, making documents and such this vertical is irreplaceable. However, at this price you'd expect at least infinite scrolling if not a thumb buttom or a horizontal scroll. At least one of these, but it comes with none. Too bad.

(im currently using a jelly comb ergonomic, but i think its still pressing on my wrist too much, maybe my grip posture is wrong or something, it relieved my pain when i first got it but its been almost a year and now the scroll of this is not good enough so im forced to press and scroll a lot, these logitech mouse are expensive, but i decided to suck it up and buy a good mouse, but im really not sure which one is better) thx ps: have u tried pen mouse (not stylust just the pen type mouse)

The only down fall is that the mouse's LCB does not register sometimes on first try. For example, if I were to double click a video on KZread to make it full screen, it would take 4 clicks or more to register . Same with other applications. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I got a Kensington vertical mouse, and while 2 buttons can be set to scroll right & left, it's poorly executed because you have to click for each increment. :/

    Thanks for the video. Suggestion. Show the mouse being used! I need to see the detail of how your hand, wrist and arm are moving, being used. There was no visual information from you about this fundamental issue. Talk just does not persuade me of anything. I want to see the mouse in action, especially if the action on the computer is shown so one can correlate everything one does with a mouse in different softwares. I do a lot of detailed work in Photoshop for instance. I need to understand if this mouse really would help me. Demonstration is the next best thing to actually holding this mouse in my hand to see how it feels!

    @@eddyhaddad943 the mouse I am using is a wireless Jellycomb. And for the keyboard, I'm using the Microsoft Sculpt. They work well for me. Took me a while to decide the right mouse because I also factored in my hand size, and the angle of the mouse. Some go at a 45 degree angle, some go a little higher like the MX revolution. As for the keyboard, my hands are at a natural position. But also consider adjusting your posture while sitting at your desk.

    Absolutely this. For years now I have only been using the Performance MX and it’s still going strong to this day.. just replaced the (rechargable) batt once, but man, is it a good mouse. However, just ordered the vertical MX and Lift today to work on improving ergonomics and prevent issues. Sometimes when looking at these review vids, I was already holding the Performance MX sideways as a vertical mouse, just for the ‘feel’ of the new posture and everytime I’m wishing that Logi makes a vertical version of that Performance MX or MX Master 😂 it’d be THE perfect mouse ever. RIP to infinite scroll and thumb clicking in my workflow soon..

The biggest, is when you select something, it will deselect, even if you are still holding the Primary button down. Also, there is no free-wheel scrolling function. There is also a slight delay with the cursor. And the knock over effect is annoying. That being said, the angle on how your hand lies outweighs everything.

    As much as the vertical mouse has relieved pain on the palm wrist side, its now created a new pain, the corner bone of your palm next to your wrist. Because of the height of the vertical mouse, it pivots your palm up causing your hand main contact point with the table/pad to be that bone which is awful. It might not be so bad with normal daily tasks but with gaming where you need precision, its not good at all. I've bought myself those gel wrist supports to if that relieves the pressure although my testing with a cushion under my wrist hasn't prevent it. So just a warning, a vertical mouse may fix an injury in your wrist but it can start a new one.

    I had a vertical mouse and I would say it is best for people who have large adjustable desks. Small workspaces restrict movement so not everyone can use a vertical mouse. It’s unfortunate that an adequate workspace often requires an expensive setup (a height adjustable desk, monitor, keyboard, extra room, etc.). I’ve learned that the best way to use a vertical mouse is to use it differently from a typical mouse. That way, the movement will come from the whole arm + forearm instead of overworking the wrist or the elbow. But the best ergonomic position is not actually one position. My therapist advised me to move a lot - take lots of breaks, stretch frequently, and switch tools. :)

  • @0ecka

    @0ecka

    @@ave_rie Exactly right. And another thing that could make a difference is the mouse grip. I'm not using the standard "palm grip" or "claw grip". Maybe I'm weird that way :). I'm using a "precision grip", very comfy. Which itself requires some specific mouse designs. Nothing special really. But it doesn't work with excessively wide ledge-less button designs like Razer Mamba or DeathAdder or my R30, with their clicks hanging off the edges (specially the right edge). I need something like MX Master or G700s or R70.
