I'm not an American but i just recently discovered this case and the thing that stood out to me was how tribal humans can be. When he was acquited, the response from total strangers was too emotional. On one hand, white women were crying and trembling with rage, on the other, black people were cheering as if someone discovered a cure for cancer. The fact that the trial was watched by an unprecedented 150 million people indicates this case was more special to Americans than any other murder case. It really is a case study of human nature and the danger of tribal "us vs them" mentality, which we see everyday, but was really brought to the forefront by this case.

The teacher left and OJ turned and walked towards the door. The principal asked OJ where he was going. OJ answered that he was helping the teacher haul these guys into your office and left and so escaped any consequences for his actions. Escaping consequences became a life time habit for OJ.

There are videos of an O.J. Simpson juror admitting 90% of the Jury knew he killed Nicole and Ron, but let him off for revenge for Rodney King's beating. For those who do not know the Rodney King story. Rodney (black) was high AF. chased by police as he sped 90 mph through a residential area with two passengers, he refused to pull over because he was a felon on parole for robbery. The cops cornered him, and his 2 passengers gave up peacefully. King decided to charge the cops, the cop's tasers were ineffective so the cops gave him a wood shampoo. Four cops were acquitted of the beating, so a certain demographic got pissed and burned down parts of Los Angles, BLM-style.

@@cannedheat300 the OJ Simpson jury did NOT follow the law. There was absolutely zero reasonable doubt that OJ was guilty based on the evidence presented to them. They chose to let a man they knew was a double murderer go free and let two victims' families suffer even more merely because they were angry at what some other LAPD officers did in a completely unrelated case three years prior to them entering the deliberation room. The jurors have the blood of two innocent victims on their hands and probably deserve the same fate as the defendant in that case.

ANOTHER OJ analysis... I'm surprised the Doc didn't bring up the MANY interviews after the fact that OJ did with various people, that to me pretty much showed that he did it: with people who were sympathetic and who didn't give him any hard questions, he was always friendly and even frisky,, openly flirting with white female interviewers as if it was the biggest joke in the world...... But that's OJ, but with interviewers who gave him tough questions, he would shut down and nearly become verbally violent, and never once did I see OJ express any actual emotion related to loss or sadness about the death of a person he once supposedly loved.......

My Jr High Years were a series of OJ Simpson highlights. I went to school 5 minutes from Nicole's home. I will always remember the Monday morning the day after the murders, all day you could hear news choppers circling the area. That didn't stop for a while. The rest of the days were chaos trying to get to and from school. On my last day of 6th grade, as I was arriving home in the early evening, the chase was just starting. I spent parts of 7th & 8th grade passing Nicole's home on my way home to the watch the trial. Nothing but oj on tv after school. I was in my 8th grade science class when the Verdict was announced. Some random kid opened the classroom door and said, " Oj found not guilty" shut the door a second later I hear the song " gonna make you sweat" playing. Not sure if that was related to this kid making the rounds announcing the verdict. It was super random. So much of those years were just oj related.
