I like how Doug listens to his own advice. :~) In most other films, this protagonist would've had some sort of dumb redemption at the end, and his girlfriend would've come back for him, etc. Awesome work.

The main point is, we use video games to live the lives we never will get to live and do the things we feel we may never get to do. We *want* the adventurous life of being brave and bold but we don't realize that being heroic isn't impossible. We should be more appreciative with the endless possibilities in our modern lives. We are so consumed with our own dreaming and role playing that we forget about the adventure around us.

It's interesting to note that, with Doug Walkers other silly films... It's nice to see he actually CAN act. Mind you it is B-movie material, but still not too shabby. With some tweaking and a bigger budget, I can see something akin to this actually being theater-worthy.

Carl got what he deserved he thought he could just play the game and everything would work out the point that he neglected his Girlfriend and ignored his job, then when the character he made came to life he acted like Doug’s character accomplishments were his when really all he did was play a game. Hell teachnically Doug’s character was actually doing the work in the game since Carl wasn’t actually in that world he was just controlling/telling what Doug’s character was doing then he has the gal to blame Doug’s character when it was all his fault to begin with

"I wish life was more like you, SkyGuard"I was expecting a magical world-changing nonsense to happen making our world more like the Skyrim world with dragons and mages, and the protagonist's main quest is to change everything back to normal before an evil overlord takes control of both worlds, not bringing a character from the game to our world and ruin this guy's life forever. Opportunity lost. But its a good enough film.

Yes, I just came across it last night and all I can say is I couldn't wait to come home from work today to watch it again. In all sincerity, this is the kind of work that makes me a little envious, almost wishing "geez I wish I had come up with this." But of course, I could not have pulled it off quite like you guys did. well this was strange, in the past i have heard Doug criticize the fish out of water storyline as both himself and the nostalgia critic, seems odd he would use what could have been an opportunity for a much more comedically funny film with a small portion of satire and very limited room for plot. At least with his past work with to boldly flee and suburban knights there was references in comedic fashion but also a somewhat interesting plot, this just seems convoluted and i am sorry to say, a little lazy in terms of a storyline. I love Doug walker and his work but i feel he took the easy route with this idea, such a shame

I like the Webmaster bits of the whole thing (This one and Dragged In are fine, but the rest of them other than the Webmaster parts are either boring or something I've heard before in High School). They remind me of a thing I do with my Halloween comics where a host and his Co-host (usually a female) are in a spooky setting but wind up getting into some comical situations. The whole thing is usually wrapped up in the end part with something ridiculous.

i loved it, but it also aggrivated me a little, im one of those people that are of the belief that you can ALWAYS change your life around, i hate the idea that it ever becomes too late, unless your rottign in the pits of hell/the ground (depending on your religious and or aethiestic beliefs) then their is always time to change, i mean sure, you can say that if you don't change soon enough people leave and you lose friends and stuff, but even if all your friends are gone, your girlfriend leaves you, ad your alone, you should still change, cuz the next thing that happens could always end up for the best by the time your done, atleast that's my take on life, never to late to fix yourself and or your problems, great though, loved the movie^^

DynomitePunch perhaps, but the movie would have been so cliched if it had the typical "protagonist learns lesson and turns life around" ending.

Wow, the guy tried to work hard and make money for himself and his girlfriend, but just for few weeks he wanted to relax in game, and then his gf blamed everything that happened in movie on him, AND THEN he got sucked in the game, where he suffered and died multiple times? What's the fucking moral here?

This was better then i thought it would be, the writing and acting is better then in his previous movies. In my opnion....even tho the other three movies were cheesy, that's really what made them funny and entertaining

Instead of a movie this would've made an interesting series, game character comes to life and lives with you

Can I add something to that?... So basically the ending is teaching people that you shouldn't take your life for granted and... Don't let video games or any kind of addiction take over your life.

I've not heard of a the Korean kid story(probably because it's bullshit - meaning: not real. But then again, there are only so many things that I'm aware of...and it's a human we're talking about here.) However, I'll say this: It's not the game's fault for what would have/actually did happen, it's partially the kid's fault, and mostly his parent's. If such a thing were to/did happen you could not blame it on the game as the person in question would have, obviously, been mentally ill - likely with a record of psychiatric problems. Though, that story does reminds me of the story about the parents from SK that let their real baby die whilst they were taking care of a virtual one...now that, my friends, is some seriously fucked up shit.
