This show up in anyone else's feed after watching Ralph's video?
This movie gave me one of the most powerful lessons ever. To enjoy fantasy, but to treat every day of real life like an adventure.

I like how Doug listens to his own advice. :~) In most other films, this protagonist would've had some sort of dumb redemption at the end, and his girlfriend would've come back for him, etc. Awesome work.
So many Skyrim references! Such an amazingly written story with some great acting all around. Kudos to Doug especially! FOR SOVEN-STEIM XD
The main point is, we use video games to live the lives we never will get to live and do the things we feel we may never get to do. We *want* the adventurous life of being brave and bold but we don't realize that being heroic isn't impossible. We should be more appreciative with the endless possibilities in our modern lives. We are so consumed with our own dreaming and role playing that we forget about the adventure around us.
Could totally see this as a major motion picture release. One of my favorite things Channel Awesome has ever done
It's interesting to note that, with Doug Walkers other silly films... It's nice to see he actually CAN act. Mind you it is B-movie material, but still not too shabby. With some tweaking and a bigger budget, I can see something akin to this actually being theater-worthy.

After seeing Jack and Jill (Adam Sandler) definitely!
Thought this was going to be more funny, but had a very serious message. Wish the protagonist had had a chance to redeem himself. But, sometimes we have to learn the hard way.
Carl got what he deserved he thought he could just play the game and everything would work out the point that he neglected his Girlfriend and ignored his job, then when the character he made came to life he acted like Doug’s character accomplishments were his when really all he did was play a game. Hell teachnically Doug’s character was actually doing the work in the game since Carl wasn’t actually in that world he was just controlling/telling what Doug’s character was doing then he has the gal to blame Doug’s character when it was all his fault to begin with
That was amazing! Brought up a lot of good points, characters were awesome, plot was entertaining, and production was great! A++! :D

"I wish life was more like you, SkyGuard"I was expecting a magical world-changing nonsense to happen making our world more like the Skyrim world with dragons and mages, and the protagonist's main quest is to change everything back to normal before an evil overlord takes control of both worlds, not bringing a character from the game to our world and ruin this guy's life forever. Opportunity lost. But its a good enough film.

So, apparently Doug Walker is cool enough to use "milady" speak and not have it repulse women within a five-block radius. The more you know!
LeBron and Jimbroth are my favorite characters in this, because of how well they work in this movie, Jimbroth being sort of like an innocent who doesn't get the modern world and LeBron being the funny boss. Those 2 made this movie
I have to say, this was probably the most meaningful special channelawesome's ever produced. Kinda sad they didn't make one for 2014 though.

Channel Awesome, I am about to give you guys the biggest compliment I could possibly give this film: by rewatching it!!! Yes, I just came across it last night and all I can say is I couldn't wait to come home from work today to watch it again. Very entertaining movie. A man that has it all, being consumed by fantasy till it turns on him as reality. Great writing, It felt like watching a present day Twilight Zone episode. Would love to see more of this type of movies been made; mystery and humor with a lesson at the end.
For free content on the internet... this is some amazing acting. I love this video. tried to find it on thatguywiththeglasses but no luck. Anyways, good to see it again, been a while. The part with the friends and the magic strip game reminds me of my own friends. I'd love to go out drinking with them some time, been a while :P
lol Best line "That's not a game! That's a life-style choice!" Funny because it is SO FREAKIN' TRUE of Skyrim.
This is hilarious from start to end XD
I like how the theme tune to this movie sounds very Hans Zimmer.
Damn, you should post the bloopers
Ok that shit was Hilarious!!!!!!! Best movie i've seen in a while! Man i gota say very underated! Anyone thats ever played Skyrim should have a blast watching this! I just bought the legendary edition of it and watching this movie along with the game was great! Excellent acting, writing and camera work. I give it a 10, SUPERB!

This was really good!!! Can't wait for more story's !! Also yay!! Uncle yo!!
well this was strange, in the past i have heard Doug criticize the fish out of water storyline as both himself and the nostalgia critic, seems odd he would use what could have been an opportunity for a much more comedically funny film with a small portion of satire and very limited room for plot. At least with his past work with to boldly flee and suburban knights there was references in comedic fashion but also a somewhat interesting plot, this just seems convoluted and i am sorry to say, a little lazy in terms of a storyline. I love Doug walker and his work but i feel he took the easy route with this idea, such a shame
Since I'm a big fan of Skyrim I really appreciated this movie. I think that the TGWTG team should make an actual movie based on Aura Scrolls Skyguard.
This movie depressed me.
Great film, just need better technical execution. It's funny and engaging. Doug should have kept trying.

Agreed. Single with a job that leaves me time to play and provides money enough to pay the bills, buy games, improve my PC and have savings for any eventuality that may happen and life is treating me real good. What I don't get is why he never invited his friends home or why he saved so much stuff for when he "beats the game"...
surprisingly good
Ymir! *Points* frostbite spider!
kind of reminded me of that french movie where a knight gets warped into modern day france and learns to cope with the weird modern technology etc. this has a better twist though good job
I have no idea how I got here
This guy was holding the phone with his foot XD
That was awesome! You guys a genius!! I thoughly enjoyed watching this!! I didn't sit down the whole time lol! Acting, story, everything was brilliant! :-D :-D :-D.
wow this is really intereasting
I like the Webmaster bits of the whole thing (This one and Dragged In are fine, but the rest of them other than the Webmaster parts are either boring or something I've heard before in High School). They remind me of a thing I do with my Halloween comics where a host and his Co-host (usually a female) are in a spooky setting but wind up getting into some comical situations. The whole thing is usually wrapped up in the end part with something ridiculous.
Oh YEAH! Bravo! Hooray!
That was good. It had a strong message. I just miss the epic grandness and crossover power like in to boldly flee.

This is tragic. I love it
"bountiful amounts of Cheese and Ham!"
I didn't know NC was into Skyrim (unless I'm mistaken and that he really doesn't), either way, love the movie. And the ending did hit me a bit, it's like that you can waste your time on games and you should always share your time with people around you. And this is coming from someone who is addicted to Skyrim. (Surprising how last semester my grades didn't go down, they most likely will this semester.)
they should do a sequel but dark souls instead.
Wow, I thought doug only made the three films
hes like Roland Dechane the Gunslinger. only with a sword.
his movie needed the cinema snob
So many funny, memorable lines!

Hello all just have to say this video was Fucking fantastic and absolute genius just think how many bad movies doug has watched as the nostalgia critic and he could make movies a million times better all along HAHAHA
This was great and very well done! :o
i loved it, but it also aggrivated me a little, im one of those people that are of the belief that you can ALWAYS change your life around, i hate the idea that it ever becomes too late, unless your rottign in the pits of hell/the ground (depending on your religious and or aethiestic beliefs) then their is always time to change, i mean sure, you can say that if you don't change soon enough people leave and you lose friends and stuff, but even if all your friends are gone, your girlfriend leaves you, ad your alone, you should still change, cuz the next thing that happens could always end up for the best by the time your done, atleast that's my take on life, never to late to fix yourself and or your problems, great though, loved the movie^^

DynomitePunch perhaps, but the movie would have been so cliched if it had the typical "protagonist learns lesson and turns life around" ending.
Wow, the guy tried to work hard and make money for himself and his girlfriend, but just for few weeks he wanted to relax in game, and then his gf blamed everything that happened in movie on him, AND THEN he got sucked in the game, where he suffered and died multiple times? What's the fucking moral here?

This was better then i thought it would be, the writing and acting is better then in his previous movies. In my opnion....even tho the other three movies were cheesy, that's really what made them funny and entertaining
He put the game in backwards into the book case. What fresh hell is this?!
Instead of a movie this would've made an interesting series, game character comes to life and lives with you
It's a pretty fun game, but i put only 26 hours in on Skyrim, and over 50 on Garry's Mod. :P

gamestop won't take him back, they will just tell you they don't have any new copies of skyrim remastered
I normally hate the trope in which a supernatural character is treated as a whimsical guy who's loved by everyone. But Doug Walker makes it work. Well done, guys. :)
The sheer irony of the ending should never be forgotten.
"it's got some... bugs, some... BIG bugs..." Goddamnit Bethesda
I've not heard of a the Korean kid story(probably because it's bullshit - meaning: not real. But then again, there are only so many things that I'm aware of...and it's a human we're talking about here.) However, I'll say this: It's not the game's fault for what would have/actually did happen, it's partially the kid's fault, and mostly his parent's. If such a thing were to/did happen you could not blame it on the game as the person in question would have, obviously, been mentally ill - likely with a record of psychiatric problems. Though, that story does reminds me of the story about the parents from SK that let their real baby die whilst they were taking care of a virtual one...now that, my friends, is some seriously fucked up shit.
