Nosferatu traditionally doesn't take place in London, but Wismar in Germany. Bram Stoker's Dracula takes place in London.

The last great Dracula movie was Francis Ford Coppola's haunting take on the title character. This version, I am very much excited about, coming from a fan of Kate Beckinsale's Underworld franchise that had much potential, but fizzled out. There's a lot of mystery about it, a lot left unsaid and up to the viewers imagination (like old Hitchcock films). And that's saying a lot from one trailer🤩🤩👏👏

It's set in Germany John not london if you know nosferatu was an unofficial German adaptation of Dracula but with all the names and locations changed. But ended up getting sued by the stoker estate. It might be one of the best versions of the story. It's nice they kept the names from the o.g. Film unlike the herzog remake with is also great

Robert Eggers isn’t really my cup of tea but I’m always in line for a classic monster movie and I liked what I saw in this trailer

This movie is going to be amazing!

I’m honestly not familiar with any of Robert Eggers work honestly but, since he has only done 3 films to date The Witch which I have constantly heard is a fantastic Gothic horror film and The Lighthouse which I have heard that is absolutely bonkers and then the Northman which I have heard is a fantastic Norse Viking revenge story that he did so yeah, I need to check out his other films because as a big fan of the vampire genre this looks absolutely fantastic

Has anyone mentioned that Willem Dafoe in that still looks like a reference to Dr. Caligari in "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari", also a German Expressionist film, just like the 1922 "Nosferatu"? It also looks like a call back to Lon Chaney's detective/vampire character in "London After Midnight"

This looks amazing, admittedly I haven’t seen any of Robert Eggers’ films as of yet however, I do want to check all of them out as this looks fantastic and also finally a fantastic vampire flick that looks to be straight up dark and horrifying like I love my vampire flicks to be, except for of course things like Daybreakers or Underworld where they are more action horror I enjoy those too, but I usually like my vampire movies to be straight up dark and horrifying and I honestly think this is going to deliver that when I as the trailer says “succumb to the darkness in Christmas 2025”. I honestly think it’s kind of funny that Nosferatu of all things is coming out at one of the most wonderful times of the year but, the irony of that is what makes it kind of hilarious to me but, I can’t wait to see it, I will definitely be checking this one out in theaters.

Willem Dafoe played the dude (Max Schreck) who played the dude (Count Orlock) who was standing in for the other dude (Count Dracula, whose story at the time still belonged to author Bram Stoker)

I'm some what of a Nosferatu myself.

Remember, Nosferatu created the idea that vampires are killed by sunlight. The PG weakness that influence rated R films.

Looking forward to see this movie. I usually like good (hopefully it will be a good movie) vampires movies.

They made a remake of an old German classic, the story of which takes place in Germany. Even the director's name is typically German. It's a shame that they chose British, Swedish and US actors, but no German ones.
