North Sydney women’s soccer team facing backlash for including transgender people in team
The North Sydney women’s soccer team Flying Bats is facing backlash for including transgender people in its team.
Liberal MP Garth Hamilton says he doesn’t believe the team is being “inclusive” by allowing transgender women who were born male to participate in a women’s only competition.
“I’m not sure inclusivity is the key point here,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“We all talk about how important it has been to get women’s participation in sport up.
“I remember when the Prime Minister was going to give us a public holiday because the Matildas were doing so well - he’s silent on this issue though.”

Listening to this, I am utterly disgusted former men are competing against women in sport. Screw the "inclusivity" BS of trans inclusion. It should ONLY be pure women v pure women.

It’s the equivalent of letting a middle school team compete against a primary school team. Why would any player be proud of winning under those circumstances?

Leaving a team is good, but how much bigger their statement if the team comes out on to the field, and just before the starting whistle blows, all the REAL women link arms and walk off! Same for swimmers for example - all the REAL women step down from the blocks as the males dive!
