This mother on the other hand, it seems she didn't know she would do harm to her daughter. I think she genuinely thought she was helping her depression, like you said, and probably very much regrets it. @@mumshorts well, there are a few weirdos who love the attention it brings them, and the chance to show how "open-minded" and "accepting" they are, etc. For many, though, perhaps even most, it's the fear of their child committing suicide, having been asked point-blank by healthcare professionals, "Do you want a dead daughter, or a living son?" Emotional blackmail, IMO.

A a 5’ 9” female, growing up, I have been given a second glances and called a boy by error. I never took offense as I understood why they assumed I was a male. I was taller than all of the kids in my class. I still don’t take offense. I’ve been called worse than the wrong gender. People need to get over themselves.

In all fairness too pre-puberty boys and girls are easy to confuse if they don't wear gender conforming clothes. I don't think people realize is it is puberty that causes us to have our gender distinct characteristics.

However, when I spoke up on behalf of my son I was labeled as a villain & was targeted to be made out as a bad mother for advocating for my son. My mother always wanted a girl but got 3 boys. Being the youngest boy, my mom had me grow a pony tail and claimed that I choose it. Before puberty I did whatever my mom wanted. When I became old enough to understand choices, I had it cut off. If I grew up in today's cluster f$*k my mother would have forced a transition on me while claiming that I chose it. Kids can't make an informed decision before they've finished basic elementary education!

As a child whose mother dressed her as a boy, cuz it was cheaper and also never wanted a girl, I'm so sorry you had to experience that. My dad also forced Mt brother to put on a dress to shame him for having long hair and not cutting his nails regularly. Accused him of wanting to be a girl, he didn't at all either. It was just parents being bad parents.... my mom wouldn't let me even have the dresses after they were dome torturing him, they kept them to put them in his closet over the years, when he didn't cut his nails or hair for awhile.

The only reason I didn't is because I couldn't afford it. Now everyone has good comments about my beard, well maintained it had a very desirable shape. So in the end, that was just another form of body disphoria. When you are a kid / teen you are so stupid, and good parents need to protect you from that, even against your wishes. There's many stupid things I wanted to do that I'm glad my parents made the right choice.

I’m a chronic pain patient (nothing to do with gender reassignment.) I know what it’s like to have your life revolve around doctors, appointments, treatments and medications. You don’t want this life, and you certainly don’t want this at age 13, 14, etc. We are creating a generation of chronic patients, people whose lives revolve around medical treatment, we do it knowingly and that’s sick. Parents: do not fall into this trap! You are the expert in your child; you know your child best. Do not let any medical professionals tell you otherwise. Do not let them create a chronic patient out of your kiddo.

But also listen to your child. If your child says "I want gender surgery", that doesn't mean you should organize one for them but you shouldn't turn a deaf ear either. Many of these poor souls who think they need the surgery aer children who haven't been listened to. Completely completely agree. People do not understand the consequences of these choices.... I mean strictly medically this is a home run for creating life time patients. You can't just stop the medicine, especially if you are not in a good mental state, the hormonal fluctuations alone can completely destroy your life. And you may not even recognize the symptoms. But to mention degradation of bones and such. It's so incredibly painful and they just don't know. They read off the risks but do you truly understand? No... None of us do until we're actually experiencing it. We always think "oh that only happens to other people".

One thing I've observed about kids who have been subjected to "transitioning" to the opposite gender, is weight gain. Look at "Jazz:" and this gal for examples. It's sad, and they aren't helped at all by these procedures performed by unhinged and abusive adults.

It's child abuse, plain and simple. The doctors who mutilated her need to be charged. The mother...disgrace.

My ❤ breaks for Milo and and for anyone experiencing this pain. I can't imagine going through such life-long trauma.

Wow they must start lawsuits, and in the 10's of millions, against every person that encouraged #her to change. Sue them all out of every thing they own, they've ruined children's lives. What are we going to do when these kids come out in masses, and changed their mind because now they actually feel who they are as adults, feel who they should have become, but are now injured for life? This is going to get ugly.

I'm a de-transitioner, and luckily nothing in my transition was irreversible, but dude, it was SO easy to begin transitioning. I had one single appointment, and went home with a prescription for hormones. They make it way too easy for uneducated and uninformed people to access this very serious medicalisation, and it fills me with dread that parents can use that easy access to subject their children to stuff like this.

My niece is in high school and my sister has a meeting at school one day. She found out last yr that my niece has been known as a boys name in school for a year. She wanted to formally change her name, my sister and her dad consented. I'm from a conservative background I was shocked. She was 14... my sister said they had to let her do whatever she wants because they are worried she will self harm or take her own life!! That's ridiculous. But, if my kids threaten to kill herself or himself... What do we do as parents?? Do you think my niece is like scrapping her arm just to get attention or get her way or would she really try to kill herself? My sister asked for a divorce and it was around that time she started identifying herself as a boy. My sister took her to 2-3 different psychologist because she also refuse to go to school (her school attendance has always been patchy in primary school). They all did some sessions then say they can't help!

Do you have your story out there somewhere? I'd like to see it. These stories need to be front and center. Not because of what one side believes, but because the mindf&%king of our youth has to stop. They have started accusing parents of abuse that don't in the states and taking custody. I also lost my once close daughter to the transers that convinced her that we wanted to kill her and hated her despite what she saw and experienced. We sent her back to her bio dad to get her away from the friends who were driving her anger against us and she hit my wife one night and we had the police remove her only to find she had obtained a gruesome looking manchette a few days prior and she was scheduled to move 2 days after. We are happy not knowing why it was brought in the house. We love her dearly still and we hope she one day realizes what happened and will talk with us again because she's headed down a deadly road with drugs and Marxist beliefs (we are a libertarian home) that her raising should have kicked in and been a warning. It happened so fast!

He separated from his daughters mother early on and always had joint custody. Then one day when he was supposed to pick her up she called him and said she wasn’t feeling good and wanted to stay at her moms. Turns out, his older sister, who transitioned into a man, was in cahoots with his daughters mom in transitioning his daughter into a boy. She was going through puberty, was feeling many emotions and confusion about her sexuality, and instead of reassuring her that this was a normal stage in a young women’s life her mother and aunt jumped on the currently fashionable “you must be a boy” bandwagon. She started taking testosterone and had a mastectomy. Earlier this year she was diagnosed with having autism and came to the realization that she is a female lesbian but the mental and physical damage is done.

I’ve been curious how this is going to affect the birth rates in the next 20 years or so. When you chemically castrate and surgically sterilize a large group of people it has to make a big difference.

I remember sitting in gym class in 4th grade (early 2000s) and our teacher put on a video about female puberty in the girls locker room. There was a girl named Dakota with very short hair and a girl named Savannah screamed out loud, “There’s a boy in here!!!” The coach pulled her to the side to tell her that her comment was rude since Dakota is a biological female, she just has short hair. Then Savannah apologized and everything was fine. Dakota eventually became my friend and told me she was a lesbian in high school. She was the smartest kid I knew too. Those were simpler times.

This is what needs reporting more, and thank you for reporting it so well. Not sure here in the Uk it would be reported like this. Whats happened to the world in the past few years.....hmmm. I wonder if there is a correlation between this child abuse and another major world event I can't even mention?

Although what she’s going through is sad, it’s actually reversible. Issa Ismail (Google her) is one example of someone who detransitioned and regained her womanly features. If that girl stops taking testosterone injections, her body will keep producing estrogen at its natural/feminine rate and many of her male features will diminish or disappear overtime. She can get silicone breast implants, if she wants. As far as the ovaries, all she needs is one to procreate. In other words, she can resume her life as a woman. Physically, she’ll be okay. Maybe not mentally, which is why she transitioned in the first place (she obviously wasn’t happy before the transition).

Transitioning should not be allowed to take place until much later than early teens. The ‘spontaneous’ decision of someone who is still a child, not yet with the maturity of thought and life experience, is fraught with later problems. I’m very sad for Milo.💞

Every time I see something like this, I recall the scene where the "child catcher" in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang offers free treats to trap the children. Tragic what is happening to world's youth.

Milo has been told by her mother that she made the decision to transition, so her mother doesn't have to take responsibility for anything her daughter went through. It is about time these parents were taken to court for child abuse and made examples of to stop this from happening to other children. The doctors, therapist, and anyone else involved need to stand trial too.

My son has a brain tumor that caused him to not produce testosterone. It was after many appointments with a pediatric endocrinologist that we decided to give him testosterone. It was a tough decision because of how harmful it can be to give testosterone to a child even at normal doses. We had to have bloodwork all the time to make sure his levels were normal and he wasn’t having adverse effects from his treatment. He’s had to have additional procedures because of the harmful side effects. I don’t understand how these people can say it’s safe for adults let alone kids with just a 20 minute appointment and no additional follow up. We were told that the Doctors didn’t know the long term affects of synthetic testosterone because their had been no long term studies. These people treat it like it’s a nothing deal. While I worry all the time about the long term effects that are in his future. Please don’t experiment on healthy young children that don’t need it!

Now these kids need to sue everyone involved including their parents

My Gov in Florida made it illegal, along with NOT allowing minors to attend drag shows. When my husband and I both returned to school with small children when we lived in Tennessee, I went to sign up for food stamps. I was already embarrassed and nervous, not having any idea how to do it. She finally allowed it but reiterated that I was taking away from what the blacks deserve.

That's so disgusting, I'm sorry that happened. In 2002 I was in a desperate situation with my landlord and I went to (now Congressman) Adrian Espaillot's office for help. Do you know what the woman at the desk said to me? She said "we can't help you, you're not our demographic." Meaning I wasn't Hispanic, which the neighborhood is primarily. I was practically in tears but I had to leave their office because they refused to help me. God helped me in different ways but it was an extremely rough time, and I'll never forget how that office treated me.

I feel so sad for Milo, her mom and her doctors let her down badly and now she’s going to pay for it the rest of her life. My granddaughter went through the same thing and began transitioning in her early teens. I suggested that she wait and get some professional help but that didn’t go down well. I didn’t want her to make the mistake of transitioning and then changing her mind. She’s 19 now and had a double mastectomy and taking hormones. She has never had any therapy but doctors have been eager to surgically change her. It should be compulsory to have psychological counseling before any surgery. I’m very worried that she will regret all this in the future.

The people taking advantage of confused kids are also the ones confusing the kids

I joined the US military and went to university in my 20s and obtained a degree in philosophy and Latin. There were no extra literacy classes where I lived. You cannot transition from something you never were.

Puberty is an incredibly difficult and confusing time for kids. This is why their parents should be guiding them properly, not encouraging their confusion. Age 14 is far too young to be making a life-altering decision with all its repercussions.

Yep. This is why kids thya age cannot drink, vote, get a tattoo. It's absurd that those things are considered too extreme for kids, but chopping off body parts and ruining their hormonal profile for life is just peachy. It's purely about money, indoctrination, attention and control. 😊

What is sad is young children having their parents condone this pronoun nonsense ... showing up to school and purposely waiting for the other students he /she dislikes to use the wrong pronoun so they can tell the teacher just to cause trouble. This has happened to my Grandson who was put in a timeout twice and sent home with a 5 page letter about respect. These are 7 year olds! Not once was it done purposely, it was a mistake he made when talking to the student. Plus this child has had 3 different pronouns in less than 4 months! Seriously I blame the parents.

Tbf even adults mistaking pronoun. I can’t even remember all my ex classmates’ name. And the kids need to remember to call someone he/she when he/she looks completely opposite to the pronoun they self defined. We even got students self defined themselves as cat, horse, even dinosaur here in the UK.

Agreed. It's the parents of these children that are self righteous and believe they are morally superior and everyone must change to suit the whims of their child. It takes one set of woke parents to demand the indoctrination the whole classroom with gender nonsense. I would be taking that school to task about this as your grandson also has rights - the right not to believe in, or be coerced to validate some other child's fiction.

I've been telling everyone for years now that they are specifically targeting autistic kids and people with severe social anxiety for sterilization and removal from the gene pool. How is this not sex-based phrenology and eugenics?

She was tricked into thinking this is what she was….and this is the problem with teaching kids about this stuff….they then think “Oh that must be what I am” when they are just going through normal growing up process. This is why nothing should be allowed until they are 18….even though 18 and older are making the same mistake and I feel sorry for them as well.

It’s actually somewhat correct. People at the age of 25 or older think with their prefrontal cortex, which is the part of the brain which causes rational thought process. This can be seen on MRIs

The key point is that your brain faculties that depend on size of your brain increasing will change drastically. Your brain can still learn but it’s not like the first time you watched a movie or learned to do math in some ways

this is why homeschooling is the only option.

How are these young kids are allowed to diagnose themselves???

She needs to sue every adult, including her parents, doctors, teachers, etc., that were involved in this debauchery. If we can sue someone that caused the loss of a loved one, she surely should be compensated for never being able to have children or losing the sensitivity of her breasts.

Did her mother do it because mother is true believer or ideology and activist, or was she given options that if you do not do it your kid will get depressed and kill themselves? I've heard so many stories where parents are told that your kids wants to transition and if you try to stop your kid doing that they will most likely get seriously depressed and kill themselves. It puts parents in really bad spot especially if the advice is coming from so called medical professionals who tell that with their authority. It takes certain type of parent to start to ask questions and other options and question things especially when they have to go against their own children's (and medical professionals like doctors) will.

I’m a 28 year old woman who grew up in a very low socio economic area. My entire childhood I was excluded from countless things due to being white and ridiculed by everyone because I have red hair and I’m very pale. I can’t tell you how often I was taunted, bullied, had things thrown at me and told things like ‘I can’t be racist to you, you’re white’. At the same time this is happening I watched as my peers of colour (who funnily enough weren’t as poor as I was) got given gifts at school in the form of toys and trips. When I was about 11 I wanted to apply for a scholarship for my local private girls school I’d always dreamt of going to but the scholarships were only available to aboriginals or Torres Strait islanders. Thanks for talking about this.

Put your stories everywhere. It's not fair Black fella are getting unfair benefits. Same for uni and workplace. It should be based in merit, not skin colour! Yet these black fella still demands more and more! I'm sick of the entitled, lazy racist lot. No one is Australian apart from them. We must all apologise to them constantly. They want land when they didn't work to pay for it. Enough of this racist black fella. No one is good apart from their lot. I'm a yellow aussie, I don't care if people call me racist. Plenty of people had been racist towards me even when I was in primary school... telling me to go home, drivers splashing water at me while I walk to school. It's not once for many times. I just want equal rights for all. No special treatment especially for people who don't want to help themselves and feel we all owe them rent etc. Get up, get an education go to work, buy the house if they want people to pay them rent. All landlords also need to maintain the house. These guys want to charge rent when they didn't work to get the house, nor will they do all repairs and maintenance on the house. Just wants never ending free money. I've got enough of this fraud on taxpayers money. Australian need to start a campaign to Stop all special funding. Vote No to the "voice", and STOP special funding and any further demand. This is fair Australia. Not the black being the ruling class and we the white, brown and yellow all underclass that they wish we just all disappear.

Well Milo... a $10M lawsuit against your parents and the doctors would be a good start. Pays for a lot of therapy, makes up for the fact your salary/work/education is probably not that good due to this, that you won't marry or have a partner, etc., etc. And... it makes sure that doctor won't have another Milo.
