9th Edition of rules for Warhammer 40k tabletop was mostly focused on the return of the Necrons in full force, the opening of the Great Rift by Abaddon the Despoiler (current Warmaster of Chaos after Horus died), and now is ending with the Arks of Omen book series focused on Xenos and Chaos. 10th edition is coming soon and is gonna be massively focused on Tyranids.

The 10th edition trailer just dropped you should check it out. This trailer is like two years ago, this time it's Tyranids vs Space Marines.

Yea every few years the new tabletop edition is released, this time it was Necron focused, which is the reason for the trailer. There are hints that the next one may be Tyranid focused, so we have that to look forward to. EDIT: and YES these are Sisters of Battle

Yeah, the weapons the necrons use are very cool. They're called gauss weapons and they literally disintegrate you atom by atom. Quick and painless compared to other things in 40k though.

quick and painless? disintegrators would overload every neuron you have and as you broke down at the atomic level, the reletively quick death that those around you would witness would feel like an excruciating eternity for you.

Warhammer 40k is very under appreciated despite being around since 1987 They're universe is so cool and badass and interesting. They have so many factions that you can dig into and never be unsatisfied cuz you always get new things about them And the tabletop game is pretty fun too either with friends or just random people at your local game store

Ole, I have to say, you pause the videos you react to at the exact moments I would pause them myself if watching it alone. Your sense of "holy shit its too epic, lemme pause for a a second" fits very nicely with mine, which makes watching your videos that lil bit extra enjoyable. Keep doing what yer doing and how you do it because you seem like a wonderful guy who's sincerely enjoying himself. I have a pretty challenging job in the funeral business whereby I deal with lots of emotions all day everyday so then when I'm home I like to just enter a completely different mindset. Watching Warhammer videos and a chill laid-back guy who gets similarly excited about this sort of stuff is actually really refreshing. All the best to you man❤

Necrons use “Gauss” technology which is magnetically based weapons that break down the target into its component molecules layer by layer and attract the molecules back to the gun at incredible speed. This creates a flaying effect and can vaporise the most heavily armored warrior or blast a hole in a Land Raider. This means that even the most basic Necron Warrior has a chance to blast a hole through the heaviest armor and completely vaporise the most skilled Space Marine. “Order. Unity. Obedience. Necrons are my favorite faction but everything in 40k is over the top and I love it.

Bwahahaha! I'd been waiting for this one! And you did not disappoint :D Two of the armies seen in this trailer are arguably my favorites. The Sisters of Battle and the Necrons. This trailer rules~ As someone else has said, please please do the Pariah Nexus trailer, it's a follow-up of sorts to this one, featuring some of the same characters - including the Guardswoman and the Sister of Battle.

The term you were looking for was sisters of battle.

Have you gotten into the painting aspect yet? I’m addicted to painting minis after getting into 40k last year (Although having a 3d printer makes it much more affordable of a hobby)

This is indeed the trailer for the 9th and current edition of the tabletop Warhammer 40k game. If you're at all interested in the tabletop game, I HIGHLY recommend Arbitor Ian's video "EVERY EDITION of WARHAMMER 40k in 16 minutes!" which will give you a pretty good idea of the game's history: kzread.info/dash/bejne/rIlrtrmKl6qXYaQ.html Necrons use weapons known as gauss weapons which essentially disassemble whatever they hit into base molecules. It's terrifying and those weapons were quite scary in the tabletop game too because necron foot soldiers were actually capable of hurting armored vehicles which most foot soldiers couldn't at the time. Using tanks and such was much more dangerous when playing against necrons. Those are the Adepta Sororitas, also known as Sisters of Battle who are indeed the military arm of the Ecclesiarchy, the Church. These specific ones seem to belong to the Order of the Martyred Lady going by their armor colors and white hair. Think of the Orders as similar to chapters for space marines. The elaborate crown thing on that space marine is actually a piece of wargear known as an Iron Halo. They can look a few different ways but they all function the same, providing the wearer with a protective conversion field. In the tabletop game it provides a so called Invulnerable Save of 4+, meaning that anytime the wearer is wounded and the weapon penetrates their armor they can still make a saving roll which in this case has a 50% chance of protecting them from the damage.

I always wondered why the space marines, that are masters of stategy and tactics are charging against necron ranged units. Seems a very stupid tactical decision. Nevertheless it does look super epic.

It's the Ultramarines. They're protected by plot armor, not just ceramite and biological augmentations.

@@dasedar Is that based on tabletop rules or on common sense? I'm pretty sure the heavy bolters and plasma cannons are just as effective as those necron whateverthoseare. The only thing that would justify a charge like this is some kind of time pressure, to stop the enemy from doing something. I know I know, there is always a time pressure to stop the alien from existing. But you know what I mean.

If you hadn't noticed, the marines in this trailer are all using bolt weapons, and most have chainswords or power swords, so they're almost forced to get closer. Plus they're much faster and more deadly in close combat than at ranged especially against Necrons, so getting close denies their enemy's shooting advantage.
