Ultramarines and Tyranids just have a very strained relationship for quite a lot of years now. I love the trailer shows the real despair and the "victory" is just propaganda.

Don't forget the Blood Angels. The Blood Angel and Ultramarine beef with Tyranids is one of the best parts of recent Warhammer

5:29 It's a teleport beacon - if somebody on the ground activate it - the heaviest and most elite space marines forces (like the terminators) could teleport directly from orbits (ships in orbits) to the battle bellow. The situation is desperate if Imperium send its terminators, they are incredibly valuable (both armor/wargear and astartes veterans of hundreds years of endless war) and as you can see the primaris terminator with assault canon got reap and tear in half by a winged beast of like 2 weeks old - THAT is a power of tyranids, Imperium need to counter it with veterans and virtually irreplaceable resources and the tyranids (orks etc) can spawn their counter-stuff in a blink of an eye almost without efforts.

3:22 you see the Cicatrix Maledictum (also known as The Great Rift) it is a warp storm that SPLIT the whole Milky Way galaxy in 2 parts, the Imperium (basically the galaxy) in half. The Imperium Sanctus is where Astronomican light shines in the Warp (the Emperor psychic beacon that allow navigators to set reliably save course throw the warp/hell itself) and the Imperium Nihilus (Dark Imperium) where is NO Astronomican light may pass the Great Rift - as you could imagine the half of the galaxy basically in constant siege, madness, despair and desperately need for reinforcement and salvation. There is where the all "fun" stuff in 40k happening right now (Abaddon the Despoiler and Vashtorr's Arks of Omen happening right now, daemon primarch Angron crusade, tyranids and orks rampage, necron building stuff to destroy warp AND souls of all living thing (without the warp humans in 40k is like vegetables, not a case for necrons) etc etc etc).

You can even hear how tired Guilliman is during this whole thing He truly has loss hope in Humanity

I would agree with him being tired but I think Guilliman is just getting started. With the Emperor's blessing and humanity looking at him for leadership, he knows he has a job to do. He knows humanity can be better. I think his real worry comes from the fact that he knows the Tyranids are not even close to full power and are actively getting stronger and taking more and more planets. He knows millions of people are going to die before any kind of shift in their favor can happen. And unlike 99% of humanity, he doesn't have that faith that keeps them all going. He's raw dogging this mental exhaustion lmao. The return of the Lion and more Primarchs set to return should at least give him more and more faith in the Imperium's chances

And he has a real ironic undertone...Victory....everyone says they are victorious on all fronts....but this is more lie than truth because every victory there are a terrible loss....Bobby G knows that...but what should he tell the imperium...thats why he carry on with all this until something will come/happeend which will turn the tide.....and no its not the Lion

4:48 that's an Apothicary. They're essentially combat medics...able to not only provide trauma recovery for their fellow space marines, but can extract the gene seed from dead space marines. Since most legions no longer have a way to produce new gene seeds, apothicaries have the unenviable task of recovering them from lost marines so the enemy doesn't get them, and they can replenish their ranks.

this means the start of the 4th tyranic war, the tyranids are once more becoming more active and dangerous it seems, guilliman too knows this, his ultradepression will only get worse i think

5:52 so the device that landed is a beacon. Many times space marines use these to rapidly jump from their low-orbit ships directly onto the battlefield. Mostly used for slower units like terminator armor space marines or Grey Knights, it's the best way for them to join their brothers...much quicker than a drop pod.

I was wondering when your reaction would drop, definitely an exciting time to get into the hobby for newer players. I'm sure someone has commented this already, but the big guy speaking is one of the primarchs and the dudes who arrived on the planet via deepstrike are the new terminators which will be playable on the tabletop. Also they showed a lot of new models for the Tyranids as well. The hype is real

The squad that teleported are called terminators they are basically a heavy infantry that wears a much bigger armor the other one is a librarian who is a psyker that also wears a terminator armor.

This new edition is going to be a great place to jump in because all the rules are going to be free when it comes out in June. Also the launch boxsets would be a great place to start a Tyranid and Space marines

The two smaller Tyranids looking up from their eating, which you found such a funny moment, is actually a very strong moment. Tyranids have a hive mind, called the Synapse, but revert to instinct behavior when not under direct control. Those small 'nids were acting on instinct (= feeding) then suddenly came under synapse control, pulling them away from their food.

The big marines with the Gatling gun or double-barrel bolters are Terminators, the toughest armor that a space marine can wear reserved for the best marines in the chapter. It's in extremely short supply so if they are lost in battle the chapter will fight hard to retrieve it. The silver icon on the armor is the Crux terminatus, which is said to have a part of the Emperors mixed into the metal. The dude with runes on his terminator armor is a Librarian who are just trained psykers of the chapter, using their powers to empower their weapons and brothers or to cast powerful psychic attacks. Every other space marine is a new model where we can only guess what it does, they will be revealed and explain in the coming months

So, a lot of the tyranids are not recognizable, probably because they're new miniatures, like when you ask what is that for the thing that floats in the airs or the two guys with tentacles eating, I don't know, I think they're new miniatures that will be announced soon ^^ But, the winged one is a Hive Tyrant, I could say he's the leader of the tyranides, but it's not really that, he's the main relay for the Hive Mind, the not really well known intelligence that controls all the tyranides everywhere. As for the Space Marines, the guys who appeared in a blue explosion are Terminators, they're like the elite soldiers of the Space Marines, they used super strong armours that can resist almost anything (yet that one was ripped in half by the Hive Tyrant because tyranides are strong XD), and they're known for using teleporting beacons to arrive right in the frontline. And the bearded guy was a Librarian, the Psykers for the Space Marines, probably in a Terminator Armour too ^^

The floaty boys with psychic purple powers are Zoanthropes and probably a Neurothrope. The tentaclely guys feeding were probably new Malathropes. Considering how close the Ultramarines were to loosing and how easy they were to kill.

A new primarc has returned to the Imperium of Man in the lore after 10 thousand years of sleeping, and that man is The Lion, LionEl Johnson. Hes one of the most strongest primarcs! You should check out his trailer! Him returning is a big moment for Warhammer 40k lore. Now its Guilliman and The Lion that are the two primarcs back for the loyalists.

The Tyranids and Astartes actually have a bug history because of the Tyrannical Wars (when the Tyranids first came to the galaxy). I’d definitely recommend that lore.

4:24 a dreadnought. Dying space marines are put in there where they live forever, but are trapped inside unable to leave. Some are hundreds...thousands of years old. Some were alive even back during the Horus Heresy 10,000 years ago. The death of a dreadnought is a mortal loss every time, for their knowledge is gone forever.

4:24 yep, it's a new range variant of the Primaris Redemptor Dreadnought, with twin linked laser canon, missile pods and tons of DAKKA for close range support (bolters, flamers, meltas etc). The new tyranid bioform is a remake of a VERY old model of Screamer-Killer (mini carnifex).

Thr sad point about humanity is that there's no victory possible. Only a blazing final stand and dying killing. Chaos it's eternal, Tyrannids and Orks are unstoppable. The other alien races will be maybe defeatable, but only with all the imperium focusing on them. Raging against the dying of the light it's the perfect definition for mankind in 40k

Btw, Horus is a big dude (Primarch too) with a giant claw and power mace that you can see in "Horus Heresy cinematic trailer" the former chief of Imperium armies (cursed title of Warmaster - warmaster always betraying the Emperor, from Ollanius Persson time of Perpetuals and Babylon to 30k timeline) that went traitor and start the bloodiest civil war that tear down the Imperium in 30k (10k years prior to the current events) and doomed mankind/Emperor. The irony of all that Horus thought was wrong and must be eliminated in 30k is now a constant reality for the Imperium in 40k (like the Emperor of Mankind godhood status). But "Horus was a fool!" (c) his son (and first captain) Abaddon the Despoiler. 40k lore is... exquisite

They also announced that the Primarch of the Dark Angels, Lion El-Jonson, is back! He awoke from his sleep in The Rock and he's about to fight the Traitor Primarch, Angron in the new book! So the Primarch of the Ultramarines, Robourte Guilliman is no longer alone!

The aliens are the Tyranids, and in the unbiased opinions of someone who ones several hundred Tyranid models, they are the best faction in Warhammer 40,000.

8:27 that was SUCH a cool moment, Roboute Guilliman win wars throw logistic, superior strategy, military's logic and superior schemes (and economics/industry that can over produce enemy - war of attrition on galactic scale). He is FORCED to control (command) a thousands battles in thousands of worlds with not enough recourses/armies to win half of them, he ISN'T winning the grand war of 40k, only delaying the end and buying time. Look how many red "dots" in the hololith projector of the Imperium. The whole story/quotes of this cinematic is about this. The noose around the neck of humanity is tightening more and more for in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war. BUT Guilliman IS NOT alone any more, his brother Lion El'Jonson is back and active (he was the main candidate to be the Warmaster if not Horus Lupercal). It's the BEST time to be a 40k fan/enthusiast. A golden age/dawn of epicness. I ENVY newcomers SO much, coz when I start learning about 40k (like 15-18 years ago) there were NO content that you can see in animated glory, some artworks - yep they were grimdark and coold, some novels (the first Horus Heresy novel was published 18 years ago + translation coz I am not an English speaker, and now we have the LAST book of Horus Heresy series (which is like a 100+ novel/storybook) that would come in 2024. The previous one was beyond beyond praise, I got catharsis for at least 2 times, was waiting to it for 18 long years ;) So take a seat, my friend, soon Henry Cavill will surprise us with the CINEMATOGRAPHIC 40k universe, and it will bring the general public into the hobby (and give GW resources/money/fame to make it even cooler), and not just geeks and book enthusiasts. But I doubt it's the Doom of Malan'tai, GW never put named character in the starter box sets.

As for the tabletop game, there have been a lot of news with that trailer, notably there's gonna be a free version of the rules available with the new edition, at least for a time (Games Workshop rarely let free stuff going for long :p). If you really want to begin the tabletop game, my advice would be to find a club or a shop where you can play, and maybe start reading and watching about armies, but not buy any rulesbook yet, they're all going to be obsolete with the new edition taht will probably go out this summer ^^ Honestly, the best way to begin this game is to find a Warhammer Shop, I don't know if there's a lot of it in Finland, I've done that to rejump in the game and they're really great ^^

he is being bitter when he says victory because he is scoffing that the priests are proclaiming victory as humanity is losing

The Tyranids are unbeatable* more they die, more they evolve to counter weapons and strategies that humanity, or any other races (aldar, orks, etc.) use. They even consume biomass of their own when they die. *except maybe by Chaos*

I have just seen this video, sorry I'm late to the party. I just saw your reaction to the 40k factions videos, and the previous edition video, and I have to say I love your work. I am just now getting back into 40k myself with 10th edition, and have just picked up a copy of the Leviathan box (as I am a Tyranids fan), but also a copy of Wrath of the Soul Forge King, as I will be using those lovely Leviathan Marines as DARK ANGELS! WOOP! Keep up the good work - I am looking forward to seeing where your interest in the hobby takes you :)

Really hate how light they make the weapons look, they have no momentum. It doesn't make astartes look strong, only makes the weapons look like styrofoam

Roboute Guilliman , all through this trailer is basically saying all the people in power, priests , generals , ect are saying "everything is fine, we have Victory". Guilliman knows this is lies and bs. Men and Women are dying in their billions, planets are falling one by one, he knows this. That last "Victory" , as green symbols of forces and planets turn red ,as they are overrun and wiped out was an angry sarcastic "Victory". Maybe the return of his brother will lighten his mood, but most likely as it's the Lion, will give him a bigger headache then a light weight with a hangover after an all night drinking binge.

Victory" while in fact the Imperium wins these battles with a pyrrhic victory but not the War. Surrounded everywhere, losing on the Macro game (production) Atleast the first loyalist Primarch to be woken up from stasis is a Master of macro gaming.
