Hey Fred, it’s Jack. All the best from the UK. Our awakening session was great. I was just watching the video of awakeness waking up through the Wesley unit. It’s such a great video. This really is the bottom of the trap doors. It’s such a relief. How on earth could the mind think it could understand? There is such joy being experienced by awakeness through the Jack unit in no small part thanks to you man. I’m so glad I listened to that part of the mind that was saying ‘Fred might be on to something here’. Namaste to you man - thank you so much.

You’re welcome man. I’m just so glad I bit the bullet and actually signed up for a session. It was so refreshing when you said to Wes that you wouldn’t have believed it either and that someone would have to be crazy before coming for a session. I was definitely crazy! It’s like you said though, it’s similar to AA in that you have to be willing to say OK, maybe I need to listen to someone other than myself 😁

I'm sad to know you won't be here as often, but so thankful that you have been here as often as you have. Thank you!

Thank you, Fred. The illusion of character waxes and wanes, creating a sense of the "spiritual experience" coming and going. But when we identify as Awakeness rather than as the character, this illusory waffling of the character does not affect our abiding experience of clarity.

Hi Fred what do you think of Roger Castillo’s teaching of predestination and non-doership ? It sounds very close to your teachings that there’s no individual there etc. predestination feels very disempowering to me but I find it intriguing . What’s your take on this?

I love Roger's presentation. Since I imagine Fred doesn't spend much time with other contemporary teacher's, I'm probably in a better position to answer this! (I've listened to about 20 talks of his) I don't think he uses presdestination any differently than Fred uses Oneness and that there is no free will. The experience of being separate can get to a place of admitting/accepting that this moment and any happening "has ALREADY been been approved of by Me" (Fred quote). That's the "pre" of predestination, but that can't be projected back onto Oneness as though It Is anything but Free. When the character experience is graced by freedom from preoccupations of duality, it can accept happiness (happening-now-ness), peace, doing the next thing indicated by senses of love/joy/pleasure. And the PLAY of feeling like "I am choosing" (if/when it comes up) is MORE empowered, when not imprisoned by deliberating any more over the character's abitly to figure things out (or other needs it had to "manage itself"). (de-liberate-ing: what was thought to be reasonable or empowering, eventually can be seen as the imprisoning back and forth, that was really used to conjure the character). And so predestination for some, who resonate with that language, can be quite freeing by removing the imprisonment of believing that empowerment/happiness can be found in a "later" possibility (so dis-illusionment is a step, that goes with the releasing of denial). I offer no opinions on other living teachers. Of the so-called dead ones, Nisargadatta Maharaj is unmatched. The same could be said for Ramana Mahashi.

In essence, I, I, as if there's any doing at all. There's only THIS, including the unit. Clarity is the mother of repetition.

The words always confuse me. I thought there is only consciousness. But then what is prior to consciousness. Or is consciousness referred to "That" while "That" is experiencing the objective world. Beyond manifestation, the Absolute, is that "prior to consciousness."

All we can apparently find is consciousness. But is there any particular characteristic or "thingness" to it? I.e, is there a "That"? When the concept of consciousness is seen to be as empty as any other apparent construct, that is "prior to."

@@costcoexecutivemember Sri Nisagaratta Maharaj talk was titled "Prior to Consciousness" and this threw me off. Then I thought perhaps it was being used to differentiate between when the fetus becomes "conscious" in the body scientifically speaking versus the One-ness which is prior to the fetus. Anyways just another goose chase by someone that compiled Sri Nissagaratta's talks. There is only one-ness. "That" is just another term to described that which has no name, no form, one-ness, per "I am That."

It seems to me Awake is not difficult. Yet, Awake ( knowing who I am as awareness itself) ≠ Liberation, moksha. So, we can talk of Awakeness = awareness, got it. the Continuity of being pure awareness as one's reference point, one's Self-referral 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year is liberation. Being only awareness as one's frame of reference as Self.

What about the human? No referencing that thing? If there's no identification whatsoever that unit will wither and die. You're trying to draw hard and fast logical conclusions both here and above. It just doesn't work like that. Here's an equation for you: nonduality=paradox.

@@FredDavisNonduality hello Fred. Thank you for the note. As I see it i.e. what about the human, in the final view, it too is nothing but That. The continuity of That does not differ from itSelf as Being and as this notion of human ( as I see it). It is like the Ocean saying I am a wave... it doesn't ; It sees itself as 'Ocean' even when it expresses itself as 'wave'. It may talk of being a wave to another wave so they can relate, but it knows ' I am the Ocean'.

So, if there is nobody asleep. If nobody is going to have an awakening... That means, that the only thing that is going to disappear or vanish is the belief that I'm the body, the belief that I'm the doer, the belief that I'm asleep, the belief of having a personal story, etc..... And that's why there is no one who is going to get enlightened. It's only the *belief* that is going to disappear.

No. Solipsism, at the end of the day, is all about a "you." This is seeing that there is no "you" for this to be about. It is "about" Itself.

I thought when I woke up I would have some special information . That my energy would shift and I would have deep knowledge. I don’t , I b know the truth of who I am but that’s the only thing I know . I’m kind of bummed 😆

I suggest that you are still lost, hence the bummed. This is not saying you did or did not have an awakening EXPERIENCE. However, Present Conscious Awakeness and the memory of an awakening EXPERIENCE have little to do with each other.
