In this exercise video Meredith will be guiding you through an energizing HIIT style (High Intensity Interval Training) workout using dumbbells for additional resistance (optional). This workout is also a "No Squats, No Floor Work & No Hopping" routine which means you won't need to do any of those types of movements throughout this exercise.
This is an advanced level workout so we recommend you preview the full routine before starting. However, because this is a no hops, squats and floor work routine, the moves are somewhat catered to an intermediate level or lower as well.
HIIT style workouts are very effective when it comes to getting your heart up and building strength as well. This routine does use dumbbells for added resistance but they are optional or you can substitute them with cans of soup or water bottles.
Make sure to only do movements that you feel comfortable with and never force anything that causes you pain or discomfort. Keep you water close by, take breaks when you need to and have a great workout!

Thank you Sweet Meredith. Excellent Adv HIIT workout. I like the use of the clock. Makes me more determined to keep going. Suggestion: I hope you do not mind. Tricep curls- on the full back extensions pause a moment, (wrist flexes & points back) squeeze the tricep to get max muscle flex. Have a wonderful and God blessed day! 😃👍🙏

Wow is right! I totally underestimated this work out! A few were easy but there was a couple that kicked my butt and this 65 year old was “glowing” at the end 😂. Some new moves I’ve never seen too was much appreciated!! 🙏

Oh sneaky, sneaky Meredith. I did this one yesterday. While not “easy”, I didn’t really think it deserved the “advanced” descriptor. This morning, it feels like someone kicked me in the quads. Sneaky, sneaky Meredith. Thank goodness I have a yoga scheduled for myself today!

You are one of the trainers I keep coming back to. Firstly, you explain and demonstrate everything. Secondly, you make us work but tend not to include moves that put us in a bad mood. Thirdly, you have a warm up and cool down. Sooooh important. Can you do some longer (60 min) workouts that are good for traveling. Could maybe include some bands, as they are easy to pack. Some things that can be done in a hotel room, for eg. Thanks a mill. PS I’m 67, 5’ 6” and around 130lbs. Exercise is like saying rosary beads for me! Smile. It keeps all sorts of bad thoughts from rooting in the brain, and it keeps me able to run around with my children and grandchildren. I still work. So I need all the help… Thanks so much for all your encouragement.

This way we were able to get our prerequisite steps in, and enjoy the animals and the beautiful flowering cacti at the garden. Soon we will be back to exercising at home with you, when it will be too hot to visit (unless we can somehow wake up early enough to get to both the zoo and garden at their summer early opening times...we shall see!)
