Here I paint over a previously painted pieces using liquid sandpaper. the first step is to remove and gloss or finish by using liquid sandpaper.
Apply the liquid sandpaper to an old towel and wipe over entire piece you will be painting. After about 15 minutes it should be ready for the new paint.
It's also important to clean the surface as well with soap and water if necessary. This will remove any dirt dust or other debris.
