I do meditation every day, but could not sit in Padmasana for more than a few seconds with great difficulty. With your instructions I tried today for the first time and I could do it for around 35 minutes without any difficulty. It is almost like a miracle I experienced today. Thank you so much PrashantJ. Please continue the work you are doing. Inspired by this I am starting a Yoga again. Thank you once again.

It's my first time in my life, my half decade practicing meditation, I sit with lotus pose without any pain, just a little bit numbness in the above foot. So wonderful, thank you so much dear _()_
The most detail yoga explanation I've ever heard. Literally, the best yoga teacher ever !!! And the way he handle his legs likes they're not his legs, omg.
Extremely well presented, easy to follow, and above all your diction is very clear indeed.

Wow! Thank you for this video. I am a Yoga and Meditation teacher and have never sat more comfortably in Padmasana for my own practice. Well done!
Wonderful instructions.. you have a very intuitive understanding of human anatomy and the effects of asanas. I was able to get it to padmasana without my knee lifting up by following your video. Thank you so much for such wonderful instructions.
Thanks to this video I was able to get into padma asana for the first time in my life. I had always thought my knees and hips would not allow it. But Wow!!! I just needed the proper instruction and warm ups. I am blown away! You are a great and thorough teacher, thank you so much. Pranams!
Just started 90min meditation sessions so this was very useful! 🙏🏻 Your physiological explanation is phenomenal and thorough.
This is gold! Thank you so much sir 🙏🏻 I am doing Yoga for many years. Could never master Padmasana. But this is really useful.
Such simple yet effective explanation of steps to reach the padmasana. When I was younger , I cud do the it , but now maybe I am too rigid . Will try by following your steps . Thank you
Your yoga videos are the most simplified and easy to replicate.
Have never seen demonstration of Padmasana with such clarity and simplicity. I find to even sit on the floor with crossed leg, but am inspired to try this asana now. Thanks so much!
May the Guru's countless blessings be with you always,you have the ability to put it across so lucidly and clearly, we are thankful for your guidance and motivation in doing the asanas🙏🙏🌹🌹

Very good. Quite good explanation. Dhanyavadagalu. Namaskaram.
Your teaching is so simple and profound. I already feel in much better posture to be in padmaasana.
Thank you for sharing this! I usually strain my ankles quite a bit while in padmasan, hence don't stay in it for long. Your technique and explanation of the mechanics were on point and very clear! I didn't feel any pain/strain after following the steps you outlined. Thank you for sharing this (and other nuggets) on your channel. As they say, the devil's in the details! 🙏
Thank you so much for this easy-to-understand explanation.
Sir, you taught properly. THANK YOU.
The best ever explanation without water ,which helped me after watching tons of other long useless videos ! Respect and thank you very much!
Thanks for this great step-by-step demonstration and the way to practice safely without hurting the knee joint.
Such a clear and precise technique to do Padmasana😊. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us🙏🙏
The best explanation I have ever heard. Thank you.
This was incredibly instructive and informative. Thank you so much!
Very well explained and demonstrated step by step to enter and release the aasana.Thank you so much for the video.
Thank you so much, Prashant. You are truly teaching, not just telling. The reiterations and highlights are really helpful for my memory and understanding. I always thought it was supposed to be painful, in which I used it (the incorrect version: entry/during/exit) as a next level difficulty to test my fortitude or to force myself into my mind (sanctuary) immediately during meditation before I become aware of the pain.
I love prashantjis step by step explanation. he has very good clean, disciplined surroundings and very soothing voice. After watching and following so many yogis, I have settle down with prashantaji videos. thank you for giving us your time. jiyo

I have tried to get into the lotus pose before, but it too difficult for me at the time and I haven't seen anyone explain how to get and stay in the lotus pose anywhere near as good as this. I have seen other people explain how to do the lotus pose before, but this was the best explanation 👌 . P.S. when I try the lotus pose again and succeed then I will immediately update.

Well, Dan, did you succeed, or did you join hosts of others and knacker your knee in this pointless endeavour?
@ShaneIsAlways
Жыл бұрын
Hi Dan, any update you can share? If the gross body will not cooperate for various reasons and despite your best efforts, then perhaps consider finding other asanas that are more suitable - - even just one asana is sufficient, whatever that may be. Don’t injure yourself when there are other asanas more presently suitable. You may find that working with one or more other asanas over time will allow you to revisit the lotus and open it with satisfaction, at which point you will realize it is itself simply one of many that can serve with utility the satisfaction which you were seeking.
Hi. I just found your channel. I find it great that you explain how to do it. So far I got frustrated with people just saying "do this and that pose" without caring about the customers not knowing how to do it. Thank you so much. I subscribed and I am excited to learn more. Best regards, Lior

Thank you for your presentation. It's possibly the best teaching I have ever seen on Padmasana and the related asanas. Would you have any recommendation as to whether to practice this only right side first, or to enter the pose right and left side equally? Namaste.🙏🏾
@ngokul3

Have the same question. I think you want to do both. I'm tight on having right leg go first. This is because I used to do with left first in my childhood.
@StEvE1961able
2 жыл бұрын
@@ngokul3 Thanks for your thoughts. People I've asked who have a great depth of yoga knowledge, say the classical yoga texts refer to right side only (I think it's to do with the spleen & other vital organs and the detrimental effects on them, if sat for a long time). However, I agree with you in that there's a need to keep the deep hip anatomy from adopting any bias (psoas, SI joints etc.). I do both too, but only when I feel that such a bias might be starting to form. It's also well worth keeping an eye on other asymmetric movements (getting out of a car etc), and making sure the hips are used functionally.
Suuuuuper !!!!! lovely, needed. Thank you.
