No Healing in Wonderland [TAZ Medley]
Музыка
"That’s cheating! You know the rules: once you sacrifice something here, you don’t get it back!"
"Because in Wonderland, there is no healing."
My second TAZ remix (so far, anyway)! This one's a mashup of some of my favorite tracks from the Suffering Game arc, see if you can spot them all~

Doesn't seem like it so I might as well do it myself lol So like obviously the main Wonderland theme goes throughout the whole thing 0:00 Wonderland Round 2 0:33 Round 3 0:49 bofa those 0:59 there's a little bit of The Wheel for some flavor! underrated track imo then uhh the lil bridge from Round 3 1:20 brings us back with R3 and The Wheel 1:52 Arms Outstretched 2:55 is Arms Outstretched + R2 Uhhh past that its basically everything else i've mentioned all swirled up into one cool finale! the final end bit takes direct cues from how Round 1 ends though. lol i used to do this list thing with homestuck songs as a hobby so this is hardly the most complex mashup ive ever logged like this

Can we talk about Arms Outstretched? Griffin was desperately trying to kill someone off in The Suffering Game, trying to intensify the stakes for the big reveal of Barry. Griffin made a place where healing was forbidden, the whole point was to despair, but then, his family refused. His family, his brothers and father, rejected the despair plan. You want to take one of us? Well goddamn, the rest of us aren’t gonna take it laying down. Even to when the boys played perfectly, they got down to it and Griffin invoked Bad Luck. Bad luck will never, ever stop the power of love. Griffin’s plan was thwarted by the fact that these characters love each other so much, that the players would go to hell to get each other. It makes me so emotional, that Magnus was saved. It makes me more emotional that, on some level, it was Travis being saved by his father and big brother.

God I loved experiencing this arc for the first time. The reaction of the boys as they realized the tone and difficulty of this arc was going to be radically different from anything that came before is so good. Although they aren’t the big bad, I still think Edward and Lydia are far more intimidating villains. Because the Hunger, although a universal scale threat, never really managed to do long lasting damage to the heroes. Meanwhile these two managed to a crazy amount of physical and emotional damage to all our heroes.

HOLY SHIT I CAN FINALLY LISTEN TO THIS. So here's my story: I stumbled upon this long before I got to The Suffering Game, and I briefly looked at the comments before leaving to avoid spoilers. All that I got is the general impression of "Arms Outstretched will make me cry". And sure enough, days upon days later (I was listening and reading the transcript at the same time), it was already such a tense moment, I was wondering how the whole situation is going to be solved, and I saw "Arms Outstretched by Griffin McElroy starts playing" AND I LOST IT. I ABSOLUTELY LOST MY SHIT. Basically, coming back to this now that I've finished Balance? Sure enough, I got chills the second I heard Arms Outstretched, and also this remix is an absolute blessing.

@@couldntthink Just to add a little more info so you know what you are getting into, The podcast is currently in the midst of its third major campaign. Each campaign is denoted by a single word title. This song is from Balance, the first of the campaigns. It has 69 episodes (nice) and was the very beginning of the podcast. Next came a bunch of mini-campaigns including Dust and Commitment. The second large campaign was DM-ed by the same person (Griffin McElroy) and is called Amnesty. It's not DND but it is an RPG dice-rolling game based off of monster-of-the-week type shows and games like Supernatural or Grimm or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The most recent campaign is called Graduation, run by Travis McElroy. It is DND and is set in a school setting. They aren't connected in any way so you can start wherever you want
