    Someone else said this in another video, and I decided that I wanted to spread this theory. Heimdall is known to have foresight, which is basically like, he can see what you think (Or something like that.) That's what makes him so hard to hit. 1 of 2 reasons as to how Kratos was able to hit him was either 1. He stopped thinking, and reacted off instinct. 2. He got pissed, and went based off anger rather than thought. It's pretty cool. Edit: I'm just going to point out that I am merely just sending a message. I'm not saying that these are true, these are just theories. It's purely for fun, not a source of information.

    I think that might be part of why Heimdall takes note of Kratos thinking to spare him while saying “what is going on inside that empty head”. It could just be him saying he’s stupid, but it also could be in reference to how he can’t read it all the time because there are few thoughts running through it while he was in combat. Only catching a glimpse of calm thought once Kratos had incapacitated him. So the moment he realized he could pick up one of his thoughts, it caught his attention instantly.

  • @isaacyeon6334

    There’s a concept in combat sport called “flow state” which is essentially what ultra instincts is based upon, essentially you’re reacting to the actions of your opponent and instinctively make the next move based on said opponent’s actions. So number 1 is most definitely more plausible for an experienced fighter like Kratos

  • @aster6741

    @aster6741

    This and Heimdall uses his foresight as a crutch. If Kratos attacks faster than Heimdall can react, especially when he's fighting based off instinct rather than a meditated plan of attack, the only thing that foresight can do is see how hard his ass is gonna get kicked

  • @TheDirk1141

    @TheDirk1141

    6 ай бұрын

    I like the instinct theory better than the anger theory due to Kratos being in a much calmer state in this point of his life. I see it get explained that in the first attack, he tests heimdall's foresight by throwing very wide swings and seeing his reaction. Then during the second attack, he hits him with a tighter combo that makes heimdall have to block instead of simply dodge. That leads him to the third attack where he does the same combo but instead of hitting the hand, he grabs it and leaves heimdall open to the follow up punch. Like it has been said "It doesn't matter if he can see the next punch if he doesn't know how to defend against it." Keep spreading the good word!

     @h.w.4482 Bro! They inserted changes throughout the entire game! Better phrased words, little additional actions. I don't know if there is a video documenting the list of changes. I zapped through the re-play just to get in front of Gná as quickly as possible, but here is a list of changes I noticed: #1. Angrboda asks Loki, “so whose soul is it you carry in the knife?” I think this is what makes Loki realise Fenrir is in the knife. #2. Atreus when collecting the mask in Muspelheim drops it into lava, and burns his hand as he plunges his hand to collect it, to which Thor says, “expect it not to feel good when you put your hand into lava!” #3. [Not Sure] Sindri is more welcoming to Tyr. “Your Highness!”, he exclaims, “please make yourself at home”. “And Lady Freya.” This shows he accepted Tyr all along and when he says, “you brought Odin into my house”, I don't feel bad about our Boi's since Sindri is also to blame. I felt much worse when Sindri said it in the first play since I can't remember if he welcomed Tyr wholeheartedly then. #4. Heimdall disappeared during the mission in Helheim but not out of snobbery, but because Odin had given him a mission of his own and he succeeded in recovering the object (forgot what it was). Now he flaunts his majestic success versus Atreus' poor failure in front of Odin! #5. New life lessons added! The first in Svartalfheim when Atreus loses control saying, “Shitshitshitshitshit!” Kratos explains, “in moments of crisis, panic does nothing. Harness it. Let it serve you.” And the second in Vanaheim. Kratos initially said (about the mask), “be wary about shortcuts to knowledge.” But in the replay they added, “the easy answers it promises. If that is true then surely it will exact a price.” Which makes the risk about the mask more clear and helps Atreus to make the correct decision to break it!

We spent literally 40 minutes discussing this decision, Freya was absolutely on board, yet Mimir still tries to stop him WHILST he's choking the man out? The thing is for all their wisdom and knowledge, all the Norse gods and beings always thought that stories about Kratos were exagerrated or simple myths. Can't blame them since about 1000 years passed and current Kratos is holding back immensely. The final moments of this fight is the first time he let himself go more than a little and Mimir, quite frankly, got scared of him. Likewise, in the Valhalla both him and Tyr were morbidly surprised that he indeed quite literally ripped off the head of another god with his bare hands with Tyr even admitting that he always thought the stories weren't literal and were simply embellished. If Kratos ever truly lost it in those realms he would easily beat Odin and co, but at the far, far too great of a cost to everyone else

    I had actually hoped that Kratos would unleash his "younger self" at Heimdall, only to snap out of it again and realizing that he must not let out that side of him again. Actually, yeah, Santa Monica wrote this scene very close to that, but they still prevented Kratos from TRULY brutalizing Heimdall. He went soft on him here (back then, he would've torn apart Heimdall's limbs and impaled or beaten him up with them 😂). At the very least, he should've given the Poseidon treatment here. Would've made him "coming to his senses" more impactful, and it would've reminded the players even more that "Young Kratos" can still come out whenever he's actually pissed about something (like Atreus getting endangered).

    It’s interesting that people wished that Kratos would’ve beaten Heimdall more than he did. I personally think the scene is perfect as is. 1. They needed a way for Kratos to be staring into heimdall’s eyes as he kills him. 2. It was never about the amount of gore or mutilation that made Kratos so violent back then. Shit, he still does that in the Norse games. What made him so violent was his lack of empathy when killing the gods. Only a monster would brutally beat a man to death, and gouge out their eyes with his thumbs. And that’s exactly what heimdall saw in his final moments, a monster.

Admittedly, it's simply impossible to remove each one outside of KZread right? Not only that but others can find the voice AI fun, like the differing variations with characters singing various musical tracks as example, it gives freedom basically so as long as it's all in good fun *and state it's AI voiced...* But then there are these problems where one doesn't like it, other actors could take notice and I always has the hunch that maybe, they might illegalize such someday XD.

    In my opinion, if they were going to introduce Young Kratos into the game, they should have reinstated his youthful physique. Although he does resemble Kratos to some extent, it is worth noting that this version of Young Kratos is not based on the one from the third game, where Kratos was modeled after and voiced by Terrence C. Carson. Instead, this young Kratos is a reimagining of what Christopher Judge's Kratos might have looked like. However, it is interesting to see that Kratos still retains his broader and more aged physique, which makes it look both strangely accurate and inaccurate at the same time. Nevertheless, I must admit that I might be biased because the original God of War Kratos was slimmer, taller, and more proportionate, representing a younger and more active version of himself from the past. Nevertheless, it is still a pretty cool DLC feature.
