Indeed. Thou even with this huge Mod-Buff. Kratos is only about 1/3 of his Raw Power back in GOW2 & 3. But this is on the fact he lost a huge chunk of magic after Olympus feel and the further away he gets from grease he remaining power fade.

Thou even if the Director said he was Stronger in 4 - the past Games still show greater Feats and Kratos is shown in 4 taken longer to heal. While in the past he Auto healed. ( Since he was in Grease where his power source was)

The Thor fight was entirely too long, just like the first Baldur fight from the first game.

It's funny because the Norns essentially decided everyone's fate, and they did it by just seeing the patterns, so all Hiemdall did was confirm what the Norns had predicted.

I love how this max damage makes it look like Kratos gets his ass kicked a lot more, especially in the first Thor fight just because the cinematic parts that get Kratos beat up happen so quickly one after another.

@murilo4464 Heimdal doesn't have a style though. He has a sense. Once that was taken away, Heimdal couldn't fight. Odin himself points it out. "You gotta forgive Heimdal. Sometimes, he forgets to think. " So once his senses were no longer useful to him (thanks to the spear), the spears attributes, and Kratos' experience, Heimdal was at a loss. He didn't actually train himself how to fight because no one was ever difficult enough to overcome

He so brutal that the most gruesome God of War 4&5 scene is actually a meh when you compared what young kratos has done, well the biggest reason why young kratos can easily did something like the video did is he have tons weapon from his most famous weapon blade of chaos into weapons of God's even Helios head, and he literally already killed all the gods of Olympus except Aphrodite.

To be fair, the gameplay combined with the cutscenes in the first fight with Thor is metal as fuck. No dancing around, no dodging the same 2 attacks constantly, no slapping Thor for 10 minutes with seemingly no effect; Just two Gods, exchanging brief but earth-shatteringly destructive blows to each other. This is exactly how a fight between Kratos and Thor should be. Back and forth, back-to-back devastation.

That’s only the case because of the over power. If they made that fight that dramatically similar between them in the beginning of the game.. defeating him later would’ve felt a very small improvement. That would Take away from all the progress available in the game. If you think that Kratos should be more powerful from the start than sure, but rebalance the whole game 😂. Can’t have easily beatable enemies through the entire game if you also want accolades & upgrades

@@EHentz I'm not saying it doesn't make sense from a gameplay perspective, but from a sort of cinematic perspective, it makes it seem all the more epic. Here, we see Kratos giving this fight everything he has, using every one of his resources available to try and bring Thor down. He is visibly incredibly powerful by this point, and he still doesn't win. It not only is more accurate lore wise, it sets up Thor to be all the more threatening as a powerful antagonist by seeing him kick the shit out of a godly Kratos with seemingly little effort, rather than a Kratos who just uses the same 3 moves for no effect for 15 minutes.

Some of these were actually what I'd like to see more in a game. I loved the Blades of Chaos, how they allow Kratos to be faster, much better than the Axe of Leviathan. If the game pulled back and just allowed us to go jumping really high like a god would and integrate the chains as a way to go swinging around, it would be the best experience. Imagine a Shadow of Colossus style boss fight where we get to crawl on a giant creature by ourselves, no QTE and no cutscenes, just pure epic gameplay. Of course, that would make the player very powerful, so bosses would have to be harder, but actually make our hits count, not just turn them into sponges.

Just noticed when Thor says “this feels familiar” he references the fight with Faye in vanaheim where there is a similar frozen lighting bolt.

Suprisingly overpowered Kratos is very cinematic instead of anti-climatic

I love how Kratos and Thor have an equal amount of quickly beating each other up and then saying “Ight that’s enough” and start throwing each other across the map showing off their feats of extreme strength. I really don't mean to be "that guy", but it isn't well written at all. Ragnarok was actually pretty poorly written. It was only because it was pretty looking and followed a far better game that people are convinced. If you think about it, it starts to appear as it truly is: bad. Or at least, mediocre. Honestly, I kinda like how it feels more like a real fight with the gods, not just a game, though it would still work for those who aren’t as skilled and need a little bit more time.

I like how this is a more accurate depiction of a fight, less wailing on HP sponges and more of an actual gritty skirmish

Damn you. You made me want to play the game again.

Anyone else feel that the status buffs running during the cinematics provides more impact to Kratos' actions

Makes the Thor fights look much more cinematic. Not so much time waiting in between each cutscene.

That final battle still gives me goosebumps. Its like a bonding moment for a father, mother, and son.

Heimdall is just like Boulder once he gets hit and feels pain he goes crazy 😧

I love how Kratos talks like a medieval lord while Thor talks like that bearded lumberjack who hangs out by his nearest gas station

The fact that Kratos held back Mjolnir with his bare hands all by himself AT ALL is a feat within itself.

Kratos (although with weapons) PULLED mjolnir out of thor's hands (blades of chaos) And also knocked mjolnir out of thors hand in the final hit thingy

A game like this would be so much fun. Not damaging enemies for 5 minutes straight, but rather just a case of a few successful hits wins. If I do a decapitating swing with an axe, I expect my opponent to die

@@kex300 I did that, but lowest difficulty doesn't feel rewarding enough. I did the jedi survivor new game plus, which has a perk where everything, including you, is a one hit kill. That is the kind of thing I'd look for

He's the only based character in this game

First time Kratos gets to destroy everyone in 1 swing just like aries did in the first game when he 360 no scopped him across the map (from athena to the desert where cronos has the giant maze on his back) with the precision of no like on earth.
