Fun Fact: This wasn't scripted 24:26 Christopher Judge was supposed to grab it one time but accidentally didn't grab it in the first time but it actually made it look better like that because it looks like Kratos realised what he's done and his rage getting into him so they kept it

Freyr died alongside Surtr with the destruction of Asgard.

The tragedy of Thor is that Kratos did succeed in saving the God of Thunder from himself, but failed to save him from Odin. Freyr was indirectly Kratos' fault since he and Atreus recruited Surtr, not knowing his help was unnecessary.

There are around 13 "present" norse gods as in gods that were around at ragnarok in mythology, only 7 were killed, seems like quite an incomplete god of war duology for me, kratos should grow but the gods should all be evil and should be killed, thats the fun of god of wars concept, its boss fights against different mythologies' gods resulting in their satisfying deaths, trying to add some steven universe type "use your words" message to the games kinda ruined it for me...

15:00 I have a feeling some people consider this to be a deus ex machina, but if you think about it, before that Jormungandr literally had only one person who can understand him. Hearing anyone say anything to him is probably very valuable

Atreus puts a giants soul into that lifeless snake, and it comes to life. In that way, we can consider atreus to be the father to Jorm (same applies to Fenrir in this case) It’s janky, but hey atleast this way there are no… awkward scenes… with Angraboda

When you think of it, Odin literally sent Magni and Modi to their deaths. He knew about the Greek pantheon and how powerful they were, and Kratos slayed them all. Magni and Modi has no chance at succession even if Kratos didn't have his Greek abilities or even the ax.

Baldur had to just swallow the fact his mother needed some help and change but couldn’t swallow his rage and met his end probably the one god who could have changed (Thor didn’t really count since Odin just killed him) but died full of rage and probably regret in his last moments. And Thor is just like Baldur both having something taken from them and having to live with except Thor lost both of his sons and had a somewhat hand in killing Modi depressing when you think his last moments with Modi telling Modi he was a coward after beating him and then getting news he got killed by a child which probably just destroyed Thor.

Never noticed how Odin got beat up the same way Baldur did in the last part where you press square multiple times with your partner

It’s kind of ironic nearly all of the Aesir died outside of battle. Magni (and Heimdall depending on whether you think the battle was over before or after Kratos strangled him) is the only one who got killed in a fight.

Kratos gave odin's gang many warnings, they attacked him first

lets give thanks to the guy behind the controller who actually knows how to fight. Unlike other gameplays where u see the player getting beat on left to right and missing quick time events 🤦

Baldur was the best character out of all them. He is the only one I felt truly bad for amongst the Norse gods...he had the most traumatic story, and his death scene was the most epic tbh. Not to mention, all 3 of the baldur fights were incredibly well done.

The worst part about him is the fact that all that smack talk to Kratos & Atreus is correct, & he knows it.

Where Kratos defeats and kills Odin it was actually in god of war ragnarök, which means Thor and Heimdalls and all the others death died during ragnarök but all of them were destined to survive ragnarök which is why modi was so riled up when magni had died.

Baldur killing Freya would have been like Kratos killing Ares. The start of a rampage that ended in the entire destruction of Aesir and the realms. Kratos saw that. Ragnarok was prophecised to be preceded by Baldur's death and sidenote I wonder if maybe long ago Odin bent his will onto stoking Freya's fears of losing her child to find a way of preventing the end. However I think had Baldur lived and gone onto slaughter Odin and potentially even Thor with how strong he got with a lifetime of fighting n not caring about getting hurt Ragnarok would have come about just in a different way.
