"Nice Guy" Traits Men Should Avoid

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I can't hammer this into your head enough; "nice guys" don't get the girl! Women just don't like, nor respect "nice guys". I realize this is confusing since we hear women saying how much they want a nice guy all the time, but the issue is that men misinterpret what women mean when they say they want a "nice guy".
In this Attraction Tips video I'm going to be discussing some of the most common “nice guy” traits that you really need to avoid. I'm a recovering nice guy...in fact, many of the dating coaches are recovering nice guys. And if we can recover, so can you! Yes, it takes practice & stepping outside your comfort zone, but it can be done. And stepping outside your comfort zone is much better than allowing people stepping on you.

    I remember when girls used to say to me “aww you’re so cute” and I was like oh, she likes me haha but as you can guess, I always ended up in the friendzone 🤡 don’t ever be a nice guy, it’s just pathetic with women and in life.

    Sometimes girls DO think it's cute, but not in the way many men think...it's more like puppy dog cute. Clearly, that's not sexy. It might get you a pat on the head, but it won't have her unzipping your jeans.

    Guys, this is so spot on! Kind and gentle, yes. Being a man - nothing is hotter and sexier. I might be a tiny bit of a brat at certain times of the month, but a man will keep me in line. What a turn on.

    Basically I have to literally change almost everything I am to get a woman. Lol, and I was always told to "be myself". I got confused when they'd still walk away. I don't think I care to date. When I'm told I have to meet a whole check list of does and don'ts. I think I'll just stick to being single.

    I learned all this after my crazy life experience in 2018, but a great refresher. I had forwarded your video to my friend who is bumping heads with his lady lately, likely because of some of these "nice guy" traits. Hopefully it can be a wake up call for him.

    The media create a lot of nice guys. So many movies and songs, poems, books out there about nice guys chasing women and telling them how much they need and love them. I grew up with lots of this stuff and fell into the trap of taking this for real in a way. It may be funny in a movie watching a man running after a woman and bowing down at her feet but it's just not how it works in real life.

    Before my first gf of 2 years crushed my heart into dust I was always trying to be a good guy. Not a "nice guy" but I definitely tried to hard to please her and I should have seen the signs of her losing attraction. Near the end she was pretty much blaming her problems on me insinuating that it was my job to keep her happy. Always demand I share my feelings with her and communicate more. Lots of fights and promises. In the end she left me for the guy she told me not to worry about the guy I always thought was a douchebag and she even said he was herself at one time. My saving grace is that he only wanted her for the night and she learned that the hard way. Through friends ive learned that she's gone through several others after me. Oh and surprisingly (not) she had daddy issues.

    Super thanks Erik! What makes self deprecating humor a nice guy tendency in your opinion? You don’t think it shows confidence to be able to playfully make fun of yourself?

  • @SkillofAttraction

    @SkillofAttraction

    Жыл бұрын

    Normally I'd point you to my pinned comment, but because this has been brought up by more than one person... While most men feel that self-deprecating humor to be modest & charming, you're really just putting yourself down & shining spotlight on something that she may not even notice. Oftentimes this is self-hatred & conveys insecurity about whatever you're poking fun of, perhaps without realizing it. "Nice guys" do this as a way compensate for their shortcomings. They believe that if they can get a laugh out of it before she notices, it won't be so bad. She may laugh, but you're not a clown...girls don't think clowns are sexy. Entertaining? Yes, but not sexy. Remember, women want a man they look up to. If you don't think highly of yourself, how is woman going to? Years ago I did a video about learning to own the flaws you have no control over, because if you don't think of it as a big deal, neither will women: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nIWryreSYrmwkaQ.html Now, if it's a flaw that can be changed, then you should work on it. Poke fun at it after it's been fixed. Women do love a man with a sense of humor, but not clown humor.

    I was with a group of guys, a woman in our group said to my mate 'hes so quiet' (meaning me), she never spoke to me, but sometimes mentioned that I was 'very quiet', she also said I can't imagine you guys going on holiday, he's so quiet (yet again meaning me yet no eye contact with me or talking to me). Are you an introvert or shy person?

  • @jrh5573

    @jrh5573

    Жыл бұрын

    You're creeping her out. She is pointing out that something about you isn't sitting right and that you are an incongruent part of the group. At first being shy or introvert can be intriguing, but if it goes on too long she will find you weird. If you're out in a social setting you need to be social. You don't need to hit on her or try and be the life of the party but if you're just sitting on the side not saying anything, not interacting, then you're going to give off creeper vibes.

    You have the right idea, but it's completely fine to treat a woman both right & well. You just don't want to treat her well as a way to get her validation or affection, or anything from her in return...& when she's not treating you well, you remove your attention on her, rather than trying harder to get her to treat you well.
