You know what David, this is possibly the best plugin you've reviewed. The fact that this is possible with antiquated technology format (AAX, VST3, etc.) is absolutely incredible. Congrats on the collaboration with this company! You're kicking ass and giving us smaller guys game at the same time. Rock on, brother!

I like it "slightly loose" myself. It kills the vibe if the Gap is too big. 😂

Couldn't agree more with your philosophy on tuning vocals! Hard tuning only really works in electronic music or anything where the aesthetic is to sound less 'human'. For pop, rock, jazz, country and metal, it's absolutely awful.

It’s kind of garbage that I am a current owner of vocalign ultra 5 and in my account there is no cross grade pricing to vocalign ultra 6. I guess I’ll just stick with ultra version 5

@@JS_97 well that’s bullshit. Not for you obviously. Not mad at you of course. But I’m looking at my account with vocalign ultra already in it. Then I scroll down under “more products” and I have cross grade pricing for re-pitch (which I have no desire for) but nothing for vocalign 6, it just wants me to pay full price.

@@hightyde It might be because you didn't have your iLok connected. I googled this: "How do I receive upgrade or crossgrade pricing? Synchro Arts" and clicked on a zendesk article that helped me solve the issue. If not, just get in touch with them, you should get a 50% discount if you are a vocalign owner.

I've already said that but I'm gonna repeat it: you can never go wrong with Synchro Arts! Just a question David: for what you saw about it, would you recommend using it to tighten up some sloppy notes in like a rhythm guitar tracks in a rock song? It's be amazing if it worked out as well as it does on vocals! Edit: the only thing that sucks is that Ableton - the Daw I use - doesn't have ARA integration...

Maybe, you're gonna have to try and see how the algorithm recognizes it.

Great software, but terrible customer service. Be aware that next year Synchro Arts will change the name again and charge you 50% of the price new customers pay. They also don't respond to tickets, mails or other messages.

I tried trial on polish rap vocals and was awful. Mic I used is WA-8000. Maybe It didn't worked because I used analog gear API Channel Strip before using this plugin. Is it possible? Vocals were stretched and sounds unnatural. I was dissapointed because I have a lot of work with time correction (L and R adds for technically, fast rapped rap vocals).

I don't want this to come out wrong but I promise you, it's not the software. VocAlign is THEE industry standard. A lot of people use this line but VA really is. So basically it was used on almost any single modern charting record out there. No the gear has nothing to do with it, there are two cases in which you could have been unhappy with the results: one, the performances are so far off that can't be saved. And 2, your settings are way off

@@mixbustv I will check it second time. First case is not, for sure. Maybe something with settings in a plugin. I actually updated to Studio One 6 so maybe it will work, because in Studio One 5 It didn't...

I am confused. Is Pro better than Ultra? The only real upgrade looks like ARA and a pitch window?

The nomenclature changed. So pro is the "equivalent" of Ultra. The updates are ARA, sync points, groups, different pages for each processing, smart pitch (existing features have better algorithms)

Does this replace Melodyne?

no way it will replace melodyne. clients ruining their signals with this thing and i have to go fix on melodyne lol

No brainer... not much more to say. If this is your business then you have increased the speed of projects which will increase the amount of projects you can take on in a year... so you just increased your profit. Time savers in the studio are always no brainers... you need enough brain to understand this though lol

A DAW within a DAW.. this is just a glorified curser.
