@martinabreu566 Bro, believe it or not, but me too! I started train karate after that kickboxing because of Nico, but i had a shoulder injury, i was very disappointed, and i quit. After that, i started with music, and that's why i also respect the music in these amazing movies. All music is a masterpiece too, and it gets me emotional every time i hear the soundtracks, especially from the movies "Above the law" and "Hard To Kill"! I always said there is a soul inside these Seagal movies and music, too! Thanks for your story and comment, God bless 🙌

Cool, but I want Viking to interview Sensei Seagal. "Driven to Kill" is an underrated movie he has more than a few underrated movies to his name "The Patriot" is underrated as well. I enjoy them both. "The Keeper" is a good one too they should make a special blu-ray edition for that one too. Viking Samurai should talk about his favorite underrated Seagal flicks in a video some time.

I agree with you on all those movies you mentioned. The Patriot is one of my all-time favorite Seagal flicks alongside Fire Down Below and On Deadly Ground. Given that all three of those movies have a thematic cohesion, I call them "the eco-warrior trilogy" lol. What did you think of Pistol Whipped? I thought that one fit in very nicely with Driven to Kill and The Keeper. I liked that Seagal was going for something different with that one by playing a drunken, degenerate gambler that was a deadbeat dad instead of his usual (for that period) ex-CIA loner in a trench coat.

@@MatrixCobretti "Pistol Whipped" was better than "Belly of The Beast" and "Attrition" in my opinion yet it is less talked about than those titles. It is underrated but it does miss the mark I feel it isn't on the level of "Driven to Kill" or "The Keeper" but it had such potential to be one of his best movies like had a chance to be a top 10 ever Seagal movie, the idea was good and it was giving Seagal a different role. It just lacked care and heart sadly I feel kind of the same with "Urban Justice" but unlike "Pistol Whipped" it is overrated when talking about Seagal's Post Half Past Dead Era. So yeah "Pistol Whipped" is a top ten, possibly top 5 Seagal movie of that last 20 years.

@@jillianslowaterbanks7234 Interesting observations. I'll agree that Driven To Kill and The Keeper are superior films, but I do think that Pistol Whipped has a lot going for it actually. I enjoyed Roel Reiné's directing. The nods to John Woo were appreciated especially because it wasn't overstated in my opinion. It's a pity that Seagal and Woo never collaborated in the 90s. Anyway, I thought that the supporting cast was really strong for a DTV-era Seagal flick as well. I don't understand the appeal that Attrition seems to have for a lot of Seagal fans. I thought it was a VERY mixed bag at best. I could easily name half a dozen other DTV-era flicks that are far more entertaining.

I agree. The beginning trick and the chick all riled-up and juicy was hilarious. First time I seen it the opening scene had me locked in for a good fun time. No matter what detractors say Steven Seagal has a funny bone and maybe in that scene there was some egomania but there is intentional comedy too. "The Onion Movie", "My Giant" & "Machete" show his self awareness and that the man can poke fun at himself. "Under Siege" show his comedic side "Get my pies out of the oven!" He is one of my favorite actors what can I say he had his prime and within the long time lows there are some gems and good times to be had. I will remember that opening trick scene forever "There's no trick to it. I just don't give a fuck."

And now with that mma thing, where people think that´s the ultimate martial arts, when in reality it´s not a martial art but a sport combat with no discipline, they think the traditional martial arts are useless, when it´s the oposite. Traditional martial arts are for self defense, not for sport combat. And Sensei Seagal has trained in traditional martial arts, not sport. They don´t like him? Fine, let him be. They think they´re important just by mocking a real martial arts sensei just because they are ignorant and don´t understand what he practices and why he practices it? It´s very sad and childish
