Best of the best, was one of my favorite movies from childhood. Simon had so fluid kicks, it set him apart from the others.

Best of the Best is one of my favorites , and the Rhee brothers is why . Their fight scene is one of the best exchanges of kicks ever put on film. Love that theres always grappling involved , paying tribute to their Hapkido roots .

Watching now had to pause. This is awesome. Huge fan of the Rhee brothers. Best of the best will always be my all-time favorite movie. I used to mimic the last fight scene with my brother all the time . Was how I fell in love with martial arts. there are many amazing fight scenes throughout movie history. But there is no fight ever that is as beautiful as Tommy Lee versus DeHaan. . Because their brothers in real life their timing is perfect. The emotion one has while watching that compares to nothing else in cinema... The Vibe of this video makes me feel I'm right there. As soon as Simon was talking about his one-liner in best of the best two I immediately knew what he was talking about and was shouting out Hoouston😅 out loud. .. good luck on the fight 💯💪

Oh my F’n goodness. Simon F’n Rhee. Unbelievable V.S.. Best Of The Best is arguably my number one favorite movie AND martial arts movie OF ALL TIME. But Best Of The Best part 2, along with Trainspotting 2 were the greatest sequels ever made of ANY movie, that actually superseded the first parts, in my opinion. Bro, I absolutely love Phillip and Simon. I hope you get to interview Phillip at some point bro.

I hope you could one day interview Britton Lee from "Ironheart" which was supposed to be his breakthrough into stardom. I don't know if he has worked in the industry since. He was presented as Korean in the movie and was basically showcasing hapkido and TKD in the semi-obscure movie. I wonder if the Rhees ever interacted with him.

i was 13-14 when the movie came out and all the boys said that i looked like him. i'd had no idea about the movie and that's how i was introduced to The Best of The Best. Rhee says that VD was really good because he has good controls 🤩 anyone else is going to argue with that? haters, anyone? AJ? fantastic interview and i feel goosebumps all over 🙏

Him and his brother are legit as fuck awesome skills... The turtle ship was not invented in the 1600s it was used during the Imjin war. The Imjin War was 1592-1598 the turtle ship and the admiral was the only thing that could take on Japan and win. The admiral was removed from his command but was later reinstated. Japan eventually withdrawaled from Korea with the help of the Chinese adding in the fight.

Simon Rhee & his brother Phillip, on the other hand, cool dudes, the movie of theirs' that I'd like to see a nice blu ray release of would be Ninja Turf/L.A. Streetfighters, not exactly Oscar worthy but a fun, low budget movie with lots of impressive martial arts action (including from Jun Chong, James Lew, the Rhee brothers & Bill Superfoot Wallace).
