Small details go a long way in making your build stand out. In today's video we're taking a look at one a new product from Moteck Machining and Cylinder Mowers: the brass deflector thumbscrew.
Based on the original Scott Bonnar design, these thumbscrews by Shane Kosteszyn are different to other copies on the market.
Whereas the knob is brass, the shaft is made from stainless steel so it's less likely to strip in use.
Shane has also integrated a plastic washer into his design so these thumbscrews are less likely to mar your new paint job.
Finally, the top of the knob is lightly curved--rather than flat--and the areas you're likely to contact in use are chamfered. All up, it works well, looks great, and feels good to use.
Deflector clamp plates to match will also soon be available.
