    Than you for the walk thru of the Mesilla model! I’m hoping to buy that exact model in the Walnut Bend community in Seguin. I don’t know too much about Seguin as it isn’t one of the towns outside SA that I’ve done much research on. From what I do know, it’s an up-and-coming area that’s just being developed with new homes. So excited to leave my home state for a new, hopefully less stressful, life in Texas!

    We've had clients build with Ashton Woods in a number of other communities, just not in The Trails yet. It's right around the corner from Winding Brook though, so the location is great and Ashton Woods really does build a good quality home. Were you looking to build this year?

    Hi Greg, My husband and I are considering relocating from Boston,Ma. Haven’t heard much about the healthcare system. It’s extremely important to us for personal reasons with one of our boys. I like what I’ve read in this are of SA, can you provide your own insight regarding healthcare ? Thanks

    The health care systems are very strong here. Many of our clients in or nearing retirement were also mindful of that as well. The TX Medical Center in North Central SA is one of the largest medical complexes in the region and the Stone Oak Medical Center in Far North SA has 2 large hospitals, a children's hospital, and several adjacent clinics. If you have a military background, you'd also havee access to BAMC, which is one of the largest military medical facilities in the nation. On a personal note, our youngest daughter has a very rare eye condition and we were fortunate enough to connect with a great team of eye doctors at a private practice here that developed a specific game plan to not only retain, but to also drastically improve her vision. I really think you'll find all you're looking for here and we'd be happy to talk further about any questions you have about moving your family here.

    It would be so hard to choose between the 2 designers! I was researching the North Central area, but Far West is definitely a contender! Originally I was looking into apartments, but maybe I should look into my 1st home- these are beautiful!

    Build times are ranging 6-8 months if you're starting from dirt. Inventory homes are usually much faster depending on what stage they're in when you start looking. When were you thinking about moving?

    Both are really nice areas and we see a lot of demand for both sides of town. The Far North is 10-20yrs older with more established neighborhoods and higher price points over all, whereas the Far West Side is newer with more affordability. I guess you could say it feels "fancier" up north because there's more hills & topography up there so the views are better. People really like the scenery up there, but the homes are older and may need some updating. Out West it's growing really fast and there's still a lot of new development, so if you're wanting a new or newer home in a chill suburban areas it's a good place to look.

    The schools are just around the corner right next to the community & the shopping centers are a few miles down the road. Everything is pretty close so you've got quick access.

    Hi Greg, i was wondering if you know more info & details about apartments in or next to the southeast side of SA. -like if prices go up than normal or they remain the same even if SA is slowly getting overcrowded, -Is southeast side a: below average, average, good, great, area to live? -how many options are in or around the area that have a Studio or 1bed&bath? (apart from the marshall meadows and villa espada) I don't really know if google & some websites show all of the options available unless i have to go in person and check it out. It may be off topic, but i just wanted to get to know if that part of SA is the place for me in the near future before investing in a home.

    Our team focuses primarily on home sales, so we're not quite up to speed on the rental market. There has been a lot of development and newer communities going in on the South/Southeast sides of town though, so those are some good areas to consider if you're looking for a first purchase. New communities often have incentives that make it easier to get into a home as well. Is that something you might consider?

    Many of our retired clients have settled in the Far West, Far North, Helotes, and Northwest parts of San San Antonio. The homes in those areas are anywhere from brand new on to about 20yrs old with lots of amenities. When were you thinking about moving?

    Most suburban communities with amenities will have an HOA somewhere in the $300-$600/yr range. I talk to people all the time about how this is Texas and we don't like being told what to do, so the HOA's are pretty chill around here. As long as you keep your grass cut you'll be cool. Really $50/mo is a pretty solid deal for all the amenities you get.

    Nah, at $600/yr you're still cutting your own grass, but they do maintain the landscaping around the community, the amenity center, the monuments, and sponsor community activities.
