All those machines are like fine red wines - they just keep getting better with age ! Thanks for a brilliant 'mini series' Mike.
Really postcard scenery, at your pitstop, the bikes and the view, just fantastic.
Thanks. The cinematography for motorcycling is the best on the net.
Wow I do envy you guys have the chance to ride those beautiful old bikes and living in a beautiful part of the world. No better way to spend a day riding bikes from the 60’s. Thank you for sharing this with us, take care and enjoy life
Returns me to childhood Thank you! I could ride clipons & rearsets all day then, sadly no longer. I had a habit of swopping out the bars for flat bars. But I am 6'4" with long arms. The crank layout on British twins means that when one cylinder is drawing in air/fuel the other one is on the power stroke & not using the carburetor. Therefore for normal use i.e. not on the race track you don't lose a lot of performance to a twin carb model. Add to that you don't have to balance the twin carburetors and you may not lose anything. This was pointed out to me by a very successful racer when I was a teenager and wanted to build a race bike for the road. It started me thinking about how engines worked and how gains in one area often meant trade-offs in other areas many thanks to that gentleman.
You saved the best till last Mike lol 😂. You did promise me something special coming up and you delivered as always. Thanks Mike from one BSA A10 Golden Flash owner to another BSA A10 Golden Flash convert 😎 see you next time. 👍Ray 🇬🇧
Thanks for the nostalgia Mike, in 1966 my Mother in law thought it a good idea that I sell my A10, don't ask what I sold it for, but the GI at Upper Heyford was very happy. It was two weeks wages to me ;) Take care......

@@TheMightyGarage By the way Mike, I sold it for £30, after all it was 1966, I was aged 20. Cheers......

Many thanks Umakant. I'm glad you liked the video. We had such a wonderful time on that trip to Nevada and California. Best wishes, Mike
Two-Strokes- Nothing like the smell of Castrol R mix in the morning🤣👍 but to someone on four-strokes, they want you riding in the back of the pack. They do knock the mosquito's out🤣👍🇯🇵🇺🇲

Ha ha, yes exactly. Thankfully Geoff Road at the back for most of the ride.
Wonderful. I had a 500 A7ss and my brother had a 650 A10 Super Rocket in the 60/70s in the UK.
Lovely stuff. I rode my unrestored 1957 Flash from London to Vienna, through Czechoslovakia and back to London when I was a much younger chap. Let's say the wall had come down but Red Stars were still everywhere. It wan't without incident,as they say,but the old girl could do 65 all day and in any terrain. Memories to cherish.
Very enjoyable videos Mike. Spectacular scenery and beautiful bikes. Thanks for the experience. Cheers. 🏍👍🇨🇦
Four excellent Videos Mike..Loved the cardboard under the bikes 🏍 and the tax disc holders..Scenic views..The 500 Suzuki is lovely..Thanks again…😎🇬🇧🏍🇺🇸
Awesome viewing as usual and what a beautiful iconic shot of those British bikes high up the hills ... amazing wonderful stuff !!
Love the pre-unit BSA twins, and that T500 is awesome.

I agree.
Looking at the mirror that is a very smooth engine Mike. My Flash makes the mirror redundant above 60. Ah well, she is an old girl.
That sound, indeed - is like a big slice of chocolate cake, Mike. perfect in every detail … real blokes confectionery!! And my-dog! The engineering restorations are like at race track level. The sound of the BSA… at just a tad throatier with the 2into1 than the Trophy, pulling down the highway together. Just wonderful. Thats chocolate cake, fine coffee and cognac right there. Sometimes its just wonderful being a bloke when all those bits come together and responsibility seems like a million miles away - not relaxed and comfortable but confident and self assured.
What fun! You have some good friends Mike.
Best ride I have seen all day! LOL Really Thanks Mike thanks for the views!
Gotta love the amp/volt meter? [can't remember what it was]] flapping around in the breeze. Great to see the old bikes being cared for in a loving way. Still pining after my Titan T500.
The glorious scenery and on those beautiful classic bikes on those roads, it doesn't get much better than that. Another wonderful clip Mike.
What scenery, you lucky men. Sadly All dreams must come to an end. Had a great time watching the vids and thank you for sharing 👍 Back to reality, have good one Mike, see you later ☕️
Beautiful area on beautiful bikes! A motorcyclists church is the open road… Thanks for sharing this awesome video.
Lots of miles I put on a Golden Flash, probably a '56 and also on Suzuki Titans as a service manager and mechanic back through the '70s. I see your Golden Flash with an alloy head, I'd only seen them with iron.
Awesome ride out Mike, it's been a great thrill to see hear & watch the bikes perform on the 'open' road. It's bought back my sunday morning meeting old friends memory from the early 60's in Torbay when I was home for the weekend. It's very much appreciated that Sam & Bob trusted you guys with the machinery, I even enjoyed the 2 stroke 'no blue smoke trail' .. 😂 Hope the return journey back home is as uneventful as the outward have a safe one. atvb t ..
You must have bagged some brownie points with the wife Mike lol 😆
Thanks Mike! A very enjoyable trip indeed. It sounded real good all the way.

Thanks John. It was a fantastic time. Best wishes, Mike
Love to see the old Brit bikes still up and running. Lovely. I’m on a speed twin. The modern version of these. And hope to get a classic triumph to go with my modern one soon.
Lovely A10 BSA, beautiful roads and scenery - what a great ride . . . I have to say I'm stunned by that Suzuki Cobra however, its the first "Edition" of the 500 twin I believe and probably very rare now, I notice it has its original fenders and even the correct "suede" look studded seat . . It must have an interesting story behind it . . . Would love to hear more !

Hi Dave, that has got to have been one of the best rides ever. I loved it and hope to go back to Nevada again sometime! Best wishes, Mike
Thanks for another lovely video mike I was 17 in October of 73 and cut my teeth on several different 2 strokes, but the tune I like to here is the triumph, bsa triple wearing a loud 3 into 1 exhaust. Also I believe they were raced in the states where they had 1050 big bore kits so if you happened to come across one I'd love to watch you ride watch it and here it ridden hard. Regaurds A .Biker.
Lucky You !! 👍 😉 👌
Always enjoy the rides, Mike. Wish our roads here in Michigan were as smooth.
My only complaint is the ride was too short, oh well I’ll just have to watch it again! 🇬🇧🏍
Great series, just great. If it's not too much trouble, could you stay another week or two and ride ALL the bikes?
I love all the bikes in that amazing garage! When I was little my dad had a Yamaha RD350 that two stroke sound brought back many memories. We didn’t have any mosquitos 🦟 in our yard either! Thanks again for the ride Mike.
Fantastic bike heaven, 🇬🇧👍

Thanks Martin! It sure was a wonderful place. Best wishes, Mike
Beautyful scenery, wonderful bikes, we would like to be part of this trip. It will be the perfection when you get closer with the bikes behind you. When you start from Stop at a crossing, we just have a small taste of the music of these others. We have a solo for BSA. What would be if a concerto for BSA, BSA alto, Triumph and Suzuki....
Great !!
Wow mike you are a lucky man ...just think my uncle may have built that BSA 🤔👍 or my aunt may have built the carbs 😜
Gorgeous scenery. That mountain up in the distance is just incredible. Thank you for taking us along on your ride!
Like all your other vids, great upload, thanks
What an absolutely wonderful and memorable trip Mike! Such a great opportunity to ride so many fabulous classics. I've only toured in the area by car previously, but now I'm motivated.....
What a fantastic trip Mike. Fantastic scenery and riding some stunning bikes. I’m sad it’s over as I expect you are. Thanks so much for sharing 👍
Nice ride and a beautiful bike, thanks for sharing Mike 😃👍👌
BSA should have stopped here, with the vertical ohv twins.
I have a 70 Lightning Bolt
Great group of bikes. Question, what hwy with the river beside it were y'all on when making the pit stop?

Hi Henry, I believe that location was called “Picketts junction” just off HWY 88 and turning onto HWY 89 to Meyers, CA
I couldn’t cope with those upside down clocks on the A10 though. Is that how they made them?
