Hi and welcome to my channel!
My name is Mike and I'm a Brit living in Oregon, USA. I have been passionate about classic British motorcycles for as long as I can remember... back when the bikes weren't actually vintage!
I hope you will enjoy my videos of the local Oregon classic bike scene, rides, events and fun projects.
Please feel free to drop me a line at the email address below or leave a note in the video comments. I try to reply to as many comments as I can.
I'd also love to hear from you if you have any suggestions or ideas for the channel.
Cheers,
Mike

Superb scenery Mike , what a great ride .Local-roads where I live (rural) are very-similar , a lot of the forests have been 'logged' lately though .Most of the Firestorms of that vintage have been thrashed-to-death in this part of the world , good ones are climbing rapidly in value I notice . Does Pam still have her W650 ? Perfect-bike for that kind of jaunt , it's a mad Winters-day where I am , rain ,wind then hot sunshine all in the space of an hour.... . Dave nz
If while I was filling up my bike a kid looked over and exclaimed, "Oh, old school!", I'd say, "Yeah, but not nearly as old as I look!"
Brilliant video Mike thanks George in Stoke 👍🍺🏴🏍️🏍️
I came to this channel for the wrenching and the meticulous work on old motorcycles. It turned in to filming rides on Sunday morning. (On modern motorcycles) Too bad, I'm unsubscribing😢
I need to take a break from the garage now and again! 😊 all the best!
This is when bikes looked loke bikes best era ever
Nice to be inside your garage, Mike! And a nice lento pace, giving time for reflection and contemplantion. Love it!
beautiful scenery except for the fire damage. We get our fair share of fire damage in OZ Great video,
Honda (love them) as comfortable as the Vincent or Norton Commando?? Looks like a perfect ride. Enjoy it all!!
Mike, always excellent and one of the best channels ever. Love the VTR. Sounds soulful. And splendicious. And caught sounds of righteousness too. :-)
Beautiful.
You do a great job of showcasing the Portland area & other parts of Oregon. Not something we see much of in the UK.
Mike, beautiful country you’re riding in. I love the fact that you ride at your own pace. I’ve seen way too many riders that ride beyond their capabilities trying to catch up. Know your destination and ride at your own pace is my motto.
Looks beautiful, Mike. The ride AND your Honda!
Top notch scenery Mike, I could almost smell the pine trees! 👍 I can relate on the old bike as my 2006 BMW R12ST has been the oldest bike on some of my local rides of late. Thanks for posting!
Great wide open spaces, beautiful big sky at that last stop
You certainly live in a beautiful part of the world, Mike. I'm an avid follower of your channel as I own a 1969 Norton Commando Fastback and also a 1958 Velocette Venom. Potholes!!! Here in the UK and in Devon where I live many of the potholes that plague our 'roads' have been re-classified as reservoirs.
Wat to go Mike!
Great video Mike! Can’t wait for part two.
Mike, great videos. Can you do a video on an A65 install on the AAU and points plate for static timing. No one has this on u tube.
Hi Mike why didn’t you introduce us to your riding buddies and their steeds? Thks
Nice relaxing ride out Mike. I’ve got a 2001 Honda VFR V-tech and love it….don’t all the ‘tech’ that modern bikes have to enjoy riding! Enjoyed the different type of video …but maybe could be improved by including places of interest, biker cafes, scenic stops etc. If you get the chance it’d be good to hear your opinion of a similar age VFR to your Firestorm. Ride safe from Cambridge UK 🇬🇧
Forgot! “…don’t NEED all the tech….”
Thanks Mike for the very scenic ride. Beautiful countryside and relaxing just watching you guys cruise along. Perfect Sunday morning stress relief. Cheers and safe riding, Dan. ✌️🏍🇨🇦
If you want it, the USA has it, and more. Gotta love the USA.
I'd ridden "Classics" from 1967 to 2003. But in 2003 I got my first modern bike and I must say the great competence of modern bikes is a joy.
'"Old school! I didn't know if he meant me or the bike.." 😆 I can relate! Great ride, Mike. That area is beautiful. Cheers! 😃🏍
Thanks Mike ! Absolutely enjoying this outing, I feel like I’m there with you all. Waiting for the next instalment. Ray 🇬🇧
i am so jealous .
Vintage, being 20+ years old seems a bit 'previous' to me.... but then I'm 64 ! When I was 17/18 I had a 1968 BSA Starfire, and it was in 1977 or so and I thought that was an old bike.... it was 9..... At 64 I have a 2006 Sportster and a 2010 Dyna Streetbob.... 18 and 14 respectively, but I don't think they are old.... it's all relative as Einstein woulkd say I suppose - this is too much thinking for a Sunday morning.... how long 'till the pub's open ?
Perfect conditions & great company ideal 'rideout' with a few friends through outstanding countryside away from all the 'hustle & busle' of modern living .. 😉 Thanks for sharing Mike. atvb t .. 👍 .. 🏍
You're absolutely right! I still think of my 97 Firestorm as my new bike and I bought it in January 2000! I fitted a set of raised flat bars that make it much more comfortable to ride. Fabulous engine, there always seems to be another gear available.
it's a stunning part of the world. Great for bikes
Not sure how they class the bikes over in Oregon Mike here in New Zealand a 2001 bike would be a classic I have a 2003 Triumph Bonneville 790cc and that's classed as a classic here still when you think about it a bike that's 23 years old is getting up there in age love your channel keep it up I have a couple of videos up I'm looking at doing what you do just have to figure out how to edit and things ....that's where my 16 year old son comes in lol cheers Gary
I didn’t know you owned a “modern” bike Mike! Looks a fantastic trip.
DISCOS DE FRENO !!!!!
Is this bike for sale, by any chance?
Hi Mike…. I’m from England but have lived in Coeur d’Alene since 1987. Funny thing is I just bought a 71 Bonneville from a Chap in Eugene, OR. Haven’t picked it up yet. Great Video for me as I’m unfamiliar with these British Bikes. Harley’s and Japanese is all I’ve had for yonks. Take care, Nigel.
Thanks a lot for your note Nigel. Eugene is just an hour and a half from here. Good luck with your Bonneville! They are great bikes. Best wishes, Mike
Lucas Electrics… Prince of Darkness.🇬🇧
Nice bike
Thank you Paul! The orange disco ball color 🪩 has certainly grown on me. Best wishes, Mike
kzread.info/dash/bejne/gp-NrqpukbrFhrQ.html This chap reminds me of someone , not sure who though . ......😉😉 apologises if already seen .
La plus belle moto du monde!
Mike your bike looked excellent! Didn't get to meet you at the show, but mine is the 82 Suzuki Katana restomod at 7:10
I'm not normally a jealous man......but there are exceptions.
Hehe, that really was a lovely bike to ride Phil. Cheers, Mike
Very nice VL. Thanks
A bit of Lubricant would have helped!!!
Very good video!!
Thank you very much!
Super 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Bien ,superbe travail 👍
Thanks for posting, I've found your videos very useful. You wouldn't happen to know the thread size and pitch of the sump drain plug at 5:52 would you? I changing oil and upon removal the thread is a bit iffy and I'd like to run a thread chaser nut down it before reinstalling... hopefully I won't have to grease up a thread chaser to tidy the sump portion. Cheers
A mechanical symphony to my ears! Thank you.
Thank you for these videos and imparting us with your knowledge! Also, a bit of humour! Cheers!
My pleasure! Thanks a lot for your notes. Best wishes, Mike
