I love the vintage stuff....especially the British bikes. It's kinda crazy how many quality motorcycle brands came out of England back in the early days of motorcycling up through the 60's and 70s. Triumph, BSA, Norton, Ariel, AJS, Matchless, Sunbeam, Royal Enfield, Velocette, Brough Superor, Vincent, etc. In the US we had Harley and Indian.

How true your comment is . I grew up surrounded by all those old British bikes. But i still think the Harley Davidson set the trend for the choppers and the Hells angels and the rest of the world ,just followed. Isn't it sad that now we can't make anything decent here in the UK

I had a BSA Gold Flash 650cc in the '60s, I bought it from a breakers yard for £10 and rode it home. It had a sidecar chassis attached to it. It was a beast I loved it. I restored it and used it every day until it was stollen by a neighbour and he wrapped it around a tree.

Respect to the manic mechanic. Godbless to all.

This machine looks just like my 1950 plunger A10 apart from the rear light is different, runs really smooth as I had the crank dynamically balanced when I rebuilt it. As you said it pulls like a train even though I put the correct sprockets for solo use on.

Just one thing, plungers were available till 1957, as an option (mostly for sidecar users). At least in the UK. The reason parts were hard to find? Dad had most of them😊 his shed had everything, enough to build several bikes from bits, apart from frames.
