Beezy Sunday - first proper ride on my classic BSA A10 to the pub

I just did a first 30 mile ride on my BSA A10 classic motorcycle after buying it last year. It had some issues which required fixing, as every old BSA - just checked both brakes, fixed alignment of front tyre, fixed clutch cover leak and missing thread there. And finally A10 is running again, andafter a few years on my modern retro I was back on true classic motorbike. I almost forgot how challenging that is and what is the difference really. But hey - at least finally I can compare original British parallel 650 twin from the fifties to the modern (ish) one, and as long as the look is sort of similar they not quite comparable really.
Anyway - I hope you will enjoy this short ride where I limited the bollocks I'm saying to allow you to listen to the sound of that lovely bike.
I also did a typical British thing - met with my biking friends at a local pub ;)
At the end of the video I'm comparing this old BSA A10 to my Kawasaki W800 and W1 series.
As always - I really appreciate your comments.

The bike looks absolutely fantastic and sounds superb. Back in the 1990's I used to build / rebuild a lot of British bike engines. One day a guy turned up, wandered into my garage and asked if I could rebuild an A10 engine, I said I would give it a go so he went back to his car, opened the boot and brought in a set of empty engine and gearbox cases and then five cardboard boxed full of parts, nuts, bolts and studs! Some weeks later he was able to pick up a complete A10 engine and gearbox. Unfortunately I never heard it running but apparently it went well.

THAT is the sound of my youth. Did the 1 ton on this bike. I was pushing it very hard but she pulled it. Chain driven generator and all. The sound was UNMATCHED by Triumph, Norton, AJS, BSA A65's. It is the singular sound of motorcycling for me. God I love it. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The lanes are alive with the sound of music. I may be 76 and you 40ish years younger but we are kindred spirits when it comes to the A10.

I used to ride a BSA A65 Lightening, and guys used to like to ride behind me, just to hear that beautiful sound from the exhaust pipes

Beautiful bike, nice colour and sounds great too. Something really nice to ride on a sunny weekend when your not in too much of a hurry. I would love to own a nice British twin, hopefully one day I'll get around to it .I hate the BMW GS, it's the Range Rover of the Motorbike world and very ugly, like you said it's an adventure riding a classic motorbike not on an Adventure bike that costs £20000.

If you have not done so yet remove the brake shoes and champ her the leading edges of the shoes that will help get rid of the squeaks! Lovely bike, just love BSA Twins

Wow, what a lovely bike! And I love the speedometer clock on it, which seems to tick like an actual clock as well! Enjoyed that comparison at the end too! 👍 Great video, looking forward to more!

Enjoyed the ride. I also own 1959 A10 and a 2001 W650. Both great bikes but the BSA is more fun, such a punchy feel to the engine. Really something special to ride and always makes me smile.

That sir really is a beautiful bike. Sounds a lot more willing than my 52 plunger framed A10 Flash.

Your bike looks great, it reminds me of the good old days of the 1960s, when I had my BSA Gold flash/ Road Rocket, Listening with headphones on really brings it all back to me many thanks.

Lovely A10, sounds perfect apart from stopping but easily sorted. I love my A50 and will do the ton, also have a 2017 Bullet nice bike but not the same charm. You can buy a modern bike like the new Gold Star anytime but takes luck, passion and patience to buy a real classic/vintage! Grand video, thank you.
