Trojan Horse Was a Unicorn (THU) is one of the world's leading transformative experiences for digital artists and creative professionals - and it prides itself in attracting introverts. The activities of THU center around suffering because it’s through suffering that people’s walls come down and they actually connect.
In this career segment, the Founder of THU André Luis breaks down some of the philosophies behind the mission of the event. He also explains how Greg, the Unicorn, has become the mascot for the event.
In 2013, he came up with the idea to create THU as a result of wanting to do things differently, be useful to society, and have an impact on people's lives. With a background in Industrial Design and Marketing Management, André's career was paved through the worlds of design, marketing, web development, and computer graphics. Nowadays, he is fully dedicated to empowering creators through THU, a global organization with several projects around the world that support the creative community while leaving a mark in the digital entertainment industry.

If you’re not a reliable or capable artist, you’ll rarely get connections or collab opportunities. Get better and put ur work out there! Try to be easy to work with too, communicate!

Being easy to work with is everything, I can’t stress that one enough. I do think it’s worth trying to get people to take you under their wing whether you’re amazing yet or not, you’re bound to get a lot of no’s before a yes, but it’s going to make a big impact on your career.
