He went on to win. I remember seeing him doing this audition and being stunned at how good he was. ❤
This was fantastic! I was in tears from the moment he started singing. What a voice!
The (as you call him the Simon Cowell-type) guy behind the table is (was) the leadsinger of the 90's British (boy)band called Take That, Gary Barlow.

I was opera trained and loved singing, except when I got on stage for the first time I almost passed out (everything went black). My teacher sang the first 3 or 4 bars and then I regained my composure and finished 'Vilja'. But I have not sung in public since. Still love singing at home, but only when I'm on my own! Music moves me like nothing else.
Saw this some time ago.... he is awesome. Felt so sorry for him.... but then... WOW❤ Thank you for your reaction
At the same time, if they pass him through, he has to do it all over again! I'm not sure which to wish for, poor man. Amazing courage.
You might want to check out the voice Australia...Harrison Craig...a young man who stuttered...so beautiful...and heartwarming..he won and has a beautiful career..he so won my heart..the audition song is broken vow

Oh yes, Harrison Craig has an absolutely gorgeous voice! I watched every episode he was in. Amazing young man.
Wow - so cool! Found Christopher on Wikipedia (after watching this) and he's gone on to do some awesome things. The man has a heart!
That was TERRIFYING TO WATCH lol. I almost chickened out & stopped the video b/c I was getting nervous just watching him. I have a problem with nerves myself & don't like competition, so my admiration for this man is off the charts. I hope he realizes how brave he was & finds success. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you for this heartfelt reaction. I don’t watch these shows. But whenever I stumble on one of these moments I absolutely love them. I got emotional right there alongside you…❤️
Dude you are so wholesome, keep up the good work!!!!!!

Wholesome-what a perfect word to describe Ken! (And much more accurate than “nerd.” 😂)
Your reaction was so honest and raw. Thank you.
Thank you for your reaction. His legs almost gave way when he had finished singing. He really has a lovely voice. Thanks again.
OMG, this is so... WOW - great❣I have tears in my eyes too...
love this reaction.i think love is..........listening to this sweet powerful voice. i so hope that this experience has given him confidence to pursue whatever dreams he has to perform in the music industry.
This must have been from 3-4 years ago but I remember it like it was yesterday. When he opened his mouth to sing and in that instant before any sound came out you realize what this moment means to this man. Then that voice comes out and through tears of amazement and joy you wonder who in the world could have told him he had no talent. I know that Chris made it to the semi-finals and I heard he did get a label. Still, he will always had that moment where he could have crashed and burned, but he stared down that giant and slew it forever with this performance. I cried again today, so happy for Chris moving on with his life having faced that fear and overcame it. Technically speaking my biggest surprise was that his breath control was even existent at all given the level of nerves he exhibited before he started singing. Once he started he was a juggernaut of control and focus. I doubt he could have done much better had he been fully relaxed. So congrats to Chris and a huge thank you to you Ken for allowing yourself to be caught up in the moment when a person slays their dragons and becomes the Knight they were destined to be.

Beautiful comment. Thank you. ❤
Oh, I remember this guy from years ago. He was the most nervous I’ve ever seen, but he’s gone on to have a singing career. I don’t remember if this made me cry at the time, but your reaction did. 😢
Great reaction Ken. Love your honesty
Hi Ken! SO glad you reacted to this contestant. I have seen this a few times and am touched emotionally every tim. He is just so normal and genuine and you clan feel that the whole audience is pulling for him. There is no telling how many people in this world have secret dreams or talents that they never pursue. ood for all those who take the leap and give themselves a shot ! I so admire how he overcame his complete trepidation and nervousness. Enjoyed your response so much. 😊👌
Wow, Ken, it was great to see your emotional response to this singer. Great reaction 😊
Oh I remember this audition so well, I bawled my eyes out for him haha. I've watched this so many times over the years. Thanks for reacting, loved your surprised expression.
Good for him, he did it! He has a great vibrato. Thanks for this video, Ken.
What a great review! I have watched this audition many times and I have tears every time!
I've seen this a few times and I've cried every time ! You can't help loving this guy ! ❤
Never forgot this Mans Voice, was so wonderful
I find several voices that are fabulous when I across them... I would love for you to listen to Alice Fredenham...she got through but faded away sadly
One of the very best TV talent auditions ever, it was a joy watching it with you.
I love this reaction. So much.
My favorite audition!
He got you in the feels, right? Great reaction.
I cringe so hard on shows like these, but Ken brings me down to earth,
I love this guy and his voice!! ❤
This is a good video
That man on the judging table is a super start too take that is the band he in
As an insecure person myself, it’s amazing seeing someone finally having the courage to do something and realizing that THEY CAN do it. Amazing ❤
Great! He even has mic-technique! ... good stuff when you have things ingrained in your reflexes!
I saw him when he was on Xfactor - was excited when I saw your thumbnail! 😊
That guy is Gary Barlow from the group Take That He is a great song writer Robby Williams was part of the the group at one point

I wonder if at first the song was going to be Robbie’s song Angels (hence the look he had). Maybe just me, but those opening notes sounded similar.
If you found this amazing and heartwarming you really should check out a similar video featuring an incredibly nervous, terribly shy young woman named Emma Jones who performs Ava Maria and melts the hearts of the panel and the audience...it's beautiful.
I could never do a reaction to things like this. I understand the shows have a formula for emotional manipulation (as you alluded to), but regardless they turn on the waterworks for me. I think there's something innate in us that we always cheer on the underdog. It's stories like this guy or Paul Potts or Susan Boyle that connect deeply with us that perhaps give us a glimpse of hope that there's something special in all of us. We support their every-man-journey as well as feel encouragement that if *they* can do that, then why can't *I* do something amazing, too?
I totally agree with you.
Just wanted to say that the first reaction of yours I ever saw was the Lorna Shore trilogy. And I love your honest, straight forward, and emotional reactions. Love it.
Awesome! Thanks Ken.
Remember Gomer Pyle? Jim Neighbors made a 40 year career out of playing THAT GUY. Stumbling, bumbling, insecure and then he sings Impossible Dream like a Broadway impressario. Also, bear in mind Mel Tillis, who stuttered almost uncontrollably when he spoke, but when the singing part of his brain kicked in, he became a multi-platinum country star.
That was so beautiful I ended up bawling. I tend to not watch the shows much so miss these things. A little Susan Boyle like 😁
I just love your reactions, please do more of those AGT/BTG stuff. There are some real jewels there. Also, keep on your Metal journey
“That guy” the judge, is Gary Barlow . Massive mega superstar and song writer! Google him and react! His story is amazing !!!
Okay, they brought his nan out and I LOST it.
Ken! That's Gary Barlow from Take That. Older guy is Louis Walsh!
I don't watch these shows because I don't want to cry like I did now lol
I remember this audition ..wow
That x-factor judge is Gary Barlow is a singer & bandmember with Ronan Keating in the popgroup Take That he's also a soloartist

Ronan Keating wasn't in Take That, his band was in Boyzone
He's do real
Imagine how great he'll be when he overcomes his nerves a bit!
This is from a couple of years ago, he went pretty far in the competition up to 4th place or so, not sure about that. I wonder what he is doing today. The judge you don't know is Garry Barlow, pretty famous in Europe he was the head of Take That (Boyband in 90's).
❤
To be nervous and still be on key. WOW! Who is his grandmother??? Is she some great music teacher or hidden national singer????
That guy is Gary Barlow from take that.
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
To the people who told him he wasn't good enough...WHAT??? 😲
The 'simon cowl' replacement is Ronan Keeting, massive in Europe, Australia and NZ
To think that guy hadn't ever been on stage before, and probably not taken lessons or anything, means that he would only get BETTER! Maybe never get THAT much emotion in his voice again, but otherwise.
Professor Ken, please, react to Jorn Lande.
I remember him. If you liked him and you haven't already, can you please react to Sam Bailey she won the xfactor, but i think when she first auditioned, they thought she was going to be rubbish. But how wrong they were.
If you want to go on an emotional Rollercoaster, checkout/react to Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt by Nine Inch Nails. Here's a link to the music video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/anV8pciThLWtmaw.htmlsi=_dqCQggdek-v8LV3
His audition was surprising and sounded great. Unfortunately, his subsequent performances never again rose to the level of his first audition. It almost seemed like his first performance was a fluke. At least he had that first performance to live on forever.
The Guy you were talking about is Gary Barlow I think he was in take that

He still is… they’re currently a third of the way through a sell out tour.
I was so hoping it wouldn't be this guy. I have a particular distaste for him, his behavior and the way his case was handled by his mentor and the show. He was eliminated for a reason and should not have been brought back as a wild card. He did not have the capability, especially when compared to the other contestants, to face his fear successfully. He was like I would be... 100% terrified and it never got much better throughout the season. He kept getting voted for because he kept mentioning his nan (granny) and people felt bad for him. He absolutely refused to get out of the 80s music and his comfort zone. Other contestants were singing more challenging pieces which was risky to them while he stuck to easier songs. Some contestants who I feel were better singers than him were voted off in favor of him. Then, because he kept getting voted for, he started to grow a big head. He got in arguments with other contestants backstage and then during the finals he got mad about something (can't remember) and just left without saying a word and didn't finish his performance requirements (he was supposed to sing 2 songs in that episode). All the way around this guy upset me and he's the only one I can think of who ever made me feel that way. His audition is very emotional and impressive but it's my opinion that he just didn't have the temperament, the skills or the stones necessary at that time.
The "tough" judge is Gary Barlow. He is Composer Lead singer of Boy/Man Band... Take That. "Million Love Songs" was one of his songs. Robbie Williams (Angels) was in Take That before going solo.
Head Judge Gary Barlow (Take That).
I’m pretty sure he actually went on to win the whole show, or at least was a finalist
Hi Ken, please react for Chakra Khan from Indonesia covering James Blunt's song : Monster..you'll gonna blown up with his voice 😊 Thank you
Love that you don't know who Gary Barlow from Take That is xD
Susan Boyle next please

We Brits love Take That. But they didn't really break America. Yet Gary is an amazing Composer. As he's got older I see him more and more as like Barry Manilow.
I assume you've seen Susan Boyle?
