Dan is singing it live, he doesn’t do lip syncing. You’ll need to explore more of his videos. He talks about his training and his singing, etc. etc. check out some of his other songs. He does heavy-metal he does 80s covers he does ballads, he is very eclectic in his music. I hope that you will explore more of him so that I can hear your critiques. Dan Vasc is a delight!

Dan doesn't sing just metal, he can sing anything love him. He is awesome.

Dan is classically trained, and he can sing anything. He's amazing.

5:02 Dan doesn’t lip sync. He has talked about how he does 3 full takes, moving the camera each time, singing each time. He chooses the best audio of the 3 and uses that, then has clips from all 3 for the visuals.

Yeah, you tell once he hits the chorus and his face starts reddening. That doesn't come out in lip syncing.

You should check out his "Toss a coin to your witcher" version. It is absolutely perfect.

Wow Ken I didn’t realize that this song was your introduction to Dan. I love it because it’s truly your first time seeing/hearing Dan’s incredible vocal abilities. I love seeing people see/hear him for the first time. On the other hand…. now, 2 years later…. I love that Dan is like an old friend to you. You’ve really gotten to know his songs and his style. This was a great reaction! By now, you know that Dan does not lip synch and if you’re watching him sing…. he’s singing!🔥

This cover taught me that I like metal. It opened up a whole genre for me.

I am a HUGE fan of Dan Vasc, I've been binging his channel since I discovered him THIS WEEK. OMG, what a range and ability, and his showmanship is on display EVERY time he hits "record." And, I'll echo everyone else, he's doing this live, with some editing (like the splices in with the guest singers in this. And, it's a home studio.

Dan is amazing. His “Kiss from a Rose” duet is pretty awesome as well.

When i first discovered him in 2020 i was blown away by his vocal abilities. I was also insanity jealous of his beautiful hair as i had hair like that back in the 80s and i miss it.

Just recently found Dan and have been binging ever since. His voice can go from gentle to seismic and always with emotion behind every perfectly enunciated word. Your comment on the importance of posture to a singer was spot on and why I am always stunned by the incredible vocals Dimash can achieve while he is kneeling and bent over. How does he do that!?

I'd wish i had a piano, to see how many octaves he's actually covering in this song, from his deepest growl to that scream in the end.

Great reaction. I had to giggle when you stopped to say it wasn't really metal since I knew what was coming. When you mentioned range it made me think of something I'd love to see you react to: Tim Foust singing Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/ Stay. Awesome is a huge understatement.

Just found this reaction! Thanks for the love for Dan. I've been a fan since 9/15/20, and never has any other singer hooked me so quickly and completely. His channel has a wide range of covers, from straight up metal to even opera - Nessun Dorma is absolutely amazing! And the new one he released yesterday - an EPIC April fools day joke - is great! Definitely do more reactions to his music, even his original music with his band Fearless.

Dan's an absolute character. I watch him on Tuesday Night's Main Event and Friday Night Tights (which he wrote and performed the theme song for) and he has me in stitches most of the time. I bet he'd be a blast to hang with at a free for all jamm session.

Dan is great and I am so happy you finaly found him! As much as I know he is self taught...his range is phenomenal...and he has his own studio...so mostly he does multy voices, too. Even if its not christmas...angel we have heard from high...is awsom. Or nightwish covers

You definitely need to check out some of his other songs!!! Burn Butcher Burn, Son of Pain, A Million Dreams, Sounds of Silence, Phantom of the Night. Dan Vasc is a beast, he can sing ANYTHING and he is just plain amazing!!!!

You should check out his version of “my mother told me”. He layers himself in the video so it sounds like 4 or 5 guys singing. He also does a metal version of “angels we have heard on high” where he sings in 4 different languages. He sings in Italian, German, Portuguese, and English.

I found him a couple of weeks ago and I was blown away! He's incredible!

I think he should already be the darling of Broadway, or in a well-known opera company, or just plain world famous somewhere. Hi Ken, thanks for the great reaction. Actually, everything has already been said in the comments. Dan is just a great singer with a huge musical spectrum. From Händel's Halleluhja, Nessun Dorma, Phantom of the Opera or Jesus Christ Superstar to unique rock and metal cover songs. His covers of female singers are also incredible (e.g. Nightwish: Wish I had an angel or Evanescence: Bring me to live). You should definitely listen to more of him, you won't regret it! By the way, this was my first song I heard from Dan and he got me at once.

Ken, I don’t know if you’ve ever gotten a chance to watch any of Dan’s ‘tutorial’ videos over the past cpl years? Dan loves this microphone and shows how he makes it work perfectly for him. He has a folded carpet piece underneath the microphone, on the floor that takes care of the things you’ve addressed.

Ok Ive reviewed this before& missed the eye twitch at 1 of the pauses I suffered through just wanting to get you to keep him going! Now Im obsessed because I CANT SEE IT❣️AND IVE SEARCHED!!! This video of Dan's is one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE because of the vitality he pours into this ❣️ I saw 1 guy say this is how new recruits should be welcomed to basic training as He'd scare the dickens out of them as their "welcome... YOU ARE MINE for the next 6wks, if you survive!"❣️ I know my son was met 1 night in a similar fashion... They like getting recruits thrown from start by having middle of night arrivals, YELL ALOT, give a few minutes to stow gear&briefly relax before on silent approach YELL@their pathetic selves&a "we're going for a little run to relax before TRAINING starts!" Most of that has to be true as it's in all the movies&"Officer&a Gentleman" with Lou Gossett as the welcome committee was PERFECT!! THIS DAN,vigilante drill Sargent would be SOME THING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT! You gave a great review on perfection n skill,imagination in using other performers,the training he put himself through to get to this place&YES theres so much more.... His accent through me for a while, as I kept getting Celtic vibes&he does them proud in ballads&calls to war, a little Nordic like this one as a Viking wouldve been bit displeased with all daughters, though now am learning the Viking WOMEN were leaders of men&I'm fascinated(yes,my Dad's grandparents came from Norway,as farmers who doesn't seem were poor from how they settled, But Dad never talked about his ancestory, but my Grandma was a STRONG SMART mother of 4living sons &1daughter,with husband died very early 40s&my Dad was eldest... Stupid youtube, how did I miss this. Im so glad you reacted to Dan enjoyeded every second of it. All of this dudes covers are pure magic but I would suggest any of his manowar covers especially "blood of my enemies" or any of his nightwish covers, and if you want to see him go full theatrical Mode his gethsemane is awsome.
