Tbh they been reusing assets/models since NFS 2015. All the games since have been good though other than Payback because of that stupid card system they used for upgrading.

Looks like it’s building off of the foundation of Heat. Which isn’t a bad thing, Heat was one of the better NFS games. Vehicle models look much better and the city looks more alive.

Unbound is amazing it tooks mecanic from midnight club like aspiration, and the feel of speed is better on unbound. We missed that feel in these 3 last nfs. Heat is just anoying. And the cartoon effect make it original and different i really like finally

not going to lie, Unbound looks better and feels better playing as well, I got the game pass for a dollar and tried the game in the 10 hour trial and it feels great but to be honest I am not going to be paying the 70 bucks for it, I think I can wait a year or so to play it on the game pass or for way cheaper.

The thing I noticed about NFS Heat and NFS Unbound is theirs less control in Heat. Yet more control and tweaking the breaks and turning in unbound. Heat seems to be extremely unforgiving when it comes to braking and turning. Yet from what I’ve played of heat and saw of unbound the changes look like a step up from heat x 10. Yet this is just my opinion. I’m hoping to finally grind hours and hours of this when it releases. 😁😁

What I've experienced in Unbound so far is exactly how you described heat. In Heat I actually have really fast grip builds. In this game, the handling feels too floaty and the cars just drift even with max grip. Too much oversteer if you try to brake without drifting.

Seems like they threw those effects in NFS Unbound to try and cover up that it's just a slightly altered NFS Heat

I feel like they are both super arcade racers, heat sounds better, unbound looks better. Heat looks dead, unbound is full of life.

Unbound looks more realistic in terms of reflections, shadows and textures. Engine sound are better in Heat

Kurcze no jakoś mnie to nie przekonuje. Chociaż Criterion zazwyczaj dowozi, to jednak mocno gryzie mi się niby realistyczna grafa z tymi animowanymi efektami i bajkowymi postaciami. Podejrzewam, że je wyłączę, chyba że podczas grania szybko się do nich przyzwyczaję i będzie mi to obojętne. No i na Twoim porównaniu widać, że seria chyba jednak stoi w miejscu, lepsze wrażenie zrobiły na mnie pierwsze trailery z NFS 2015 ze świetnie wyglądającymi ulicami i klimatem.

I miss the hype intros for the night events, Unbound despite fixing a lot of issues from Heat; lacks a lot of the small details that Ghost really honed in on. Edit: although I found the map boring in Heat, I really liked how vibrant night time was with all the neon lights. Too bad they over-relied on the green sky and weird filter. Unbound made things too safe with nighttime imo.

considering both games use the same engine and assets I am impressed

Unbound dont look so bad, I think imma get use to all them pychedelic neon colors ! It's good to experiment racing games between fantasy and reality

Not at all. This feels as it's Heat PC Ultra. Unbound uses the same assets - look.closely on the Gate Markers - they're the same.

What's new generation for y'all? If in PC's we had ultra Modes since forever... If you compare it to the old version of consoles. Yes, it looks significantly better plus 60 FPS. But if you compare it to PC that most of us never had. No, it doesn't. I yhink we need more ray tracing SHADOWS and Reflections to the games, maybe it might get better.

По сравнению с прошлой частью нет разницы. Графика осталась такой же. Просто скрыли все цветными принтами. И добавили 60ФПС и не много прохожих.Почему не показали геймплей без этих цветных стиков? Да потому что что сразу все станет ясно всем. Через год релиз в Гейм Пасс уверен на 150%.

Ну вообще то мерс был более детализированным чем в хите я через телефон даже это увидил а если завтра включу на тв думаю тоже самое увижу в хите мерс смотрится как на мобилке осо сильно от машин из ГТА Сан-Андреас не отличается версии ремастер

Dont get me wrong need for speed heat looks good but unbound you can tell it look more clear and has more detailes on the cars even the cars have better graphics you can tell when you look at heat and unbound can see how much more better need for speed got with the graphics game looks more clear on unbound

Nfs unbound basically nfs heat right now with a enb mod But unbound looks "cleaner" but mechanically and psychics are straight up downgrades, like this looks like racing in a star wars racer (good game but they are actually floating) Nfs heat does have more weight and feels bit more "realistic" except for the super cars

I want some countryside races like the good old days, this city looks meh, that's why I prefer Forza Horizon. I used to be a big NFS fan but now the tables have turned.

Pretty much it's heat 2 This is like the only time I wanted to see a new skin on an old game because heat didn't live up to its full potential due to obvious rushed development, but unbound looks like it's simply taking everything heat had and adding more on top feeling like what heat could of been. I mean heat literally had two more Islands to its map that were actually somewhat constructed and obviously abandoned in development if you go out of the play areas to the east and west It's taking us years to get a new Need For Speed game so hopefully plus the fact we got a new (well old) studio change as well for this game that this is going to be something special this time around. Heat was a good foundation i just hope unbound made a whole country on it

@@Free_Hugz it’s still disappoints me that EA took the devs off of Heat, and basically shut down Ghost Games. I bet everything that Unbound added was going to be added in Heat, So many basic things that could’ve fixed like the health system and the weird scratches (which weren’t actually fixed). And to think of the glorious amount of content they could’ve added given the game’s potential. It’s quite obvious that the game was sorta unfinished, daytime cops serve no purpose, some of the lighting in daytime bugs out and looks horrible sometimes (including the tunnels), the story was confused and all over the place, and car models like the Crown Vic and the 2017 Charger were left unfinished in the game’s internal files, with their respective engine sounds; meaning that they were meant to be in the original car roster. Interesting areas of the map that don’t have races on them, and the two islands that have proper collision but were left abandoned like you mentioned. I still come back to the game from time to time, thinking of what it could’ve been. Edit: there were some unused voice-lines where the day cops and dispatcher mention a blockade or roadblock and spikestrips, could be place holder audio but it seems to me that they were also going to be available in day pursuits.

playing unbound a day EARLY FREE. OK so, the cars in HEAT sound 100% better, engine wise, rolling gears, & flame kickback. the graphics are better on Ps5 for UNBOUND overall, but DEBRI from crashes & jumps looks better in HEAT.. VERDICT, on sound alone wayyy better on heat, NOT spending 70 bucks for UNBOUND for Ps5 version.

No changes. They had TWO YEARS!

Unbound clearly made for kids.

So it's Heat but with lame cartoon characters and cheesy effects which you can only partially disable, and only on your own car. NFS 2015 had real wow factor as a generational leap when it came out.

I still dont get why they dont make Rivals 2 with all those diverse environments and arsenal of weapons . That game was a true mayhem . city environment only kinda get repetitive soon . As for the gfx i dont see anything particuraly currentgen that cant be done in last gen consoles in lower resolutions and framerates . Im afraid this won't sell enough bding exclusively current gen and this might be the end of the franchise

Rivals was good. But we need a Hot Pursuit 2 that takes from rivals. Cause Hot pursuit 2010 was just break taking. Rivals is indeed better but it's map was a revamped Hot pursuit. It needs a open world like this and then it will be A triple plus selling game.

I say also add up to 150-200 cars over time. Maybe add 2 cities. Alot of environments like the mountains. Swamps. All that. Coastal cities. A in land city. 5 cities at most. Desert area. Below sea level areas. That would be dope. For the next rival like game. And character customization is a thing now. And you can be either cop or racer. They need to give more features to the undercover cars. Let cops really dress like racers.

In my eyes they look very similar but Unbound seems more dynamic overall more alive to me, probably the "graffiti/comic look" affects that partly but as mentioned here already, heat looks more glued to the ground
