Yep. Goes to show that no matter who makes the plates, take care of your stuff and it’ll take care of you when you need it most.

FINALLY!! I want the LAPG test so bad. Please do them next. And please do a test with plates that were just 2 days under water. Thank you so much for the destruction, King ❤

This also proves fairly conclusively that penetration isn't 100% velocity dependent.

Very true. Depending on the application I feel many overuse the idea that "velocity alone" is all that's needed for armor penetration :D

Would really like to see the 1165. It would be nice to see them make some 1165 side plates.

I'm really hoping you get to do even a baseline normal review on 1165, I'm REALLY interested in those plates but want to see you whoop up on them first. I messaged RMA on Instagram was thinking that we should all start bugging them to send you plates!

Have very much enjoyed watching your channel while you increase the threat levels to these plates! Anybody that might try to compete with you with regard to body armor testing will have a heck of a hill to climb! P.S.: Years ago, as indicated by earlier texts...I also, was interested in defining the limits of AP rounds versus mostly monolithic mostly cold rolled MS targets and tried every permutation that I could find (the Smk-H was never beaten and as noted held up to velocities in the 6,000 fps... neighborhood). Serious testing was of course limited to .50 caliber and below. Have played with the .22 caliber wildcats (including .22/284 on several occasions... which was a PITA and much more recently the .22/243M which appears to be the best of the fast .22 caliber rounds to date, even in a 25.5" barrel with velocities exceeded 4,000 fps with the 62gr. fmj's with multiple powders! I purchased a reamer for the .22 Creedmore a couple of years ago and due to health reasons have not had a chance to finish up with the .22/243 before moving down (case capacity wise) to the Creedmore. Wish that you had a longer barrel for the Creedmore given that I am pretty sure that you are not gaining anything over that which you can get with a .22/250 in a 24 - 26" barrel (with a suitable twist rate, of course). Thanks for all that you do and keep your powder dry...as Kent Lomont, among others, used to say...

Damn, I'll have to send my plates back. If i can't work in them submerged in a swamp for 3 years, then can i really trust them at all? Jokes aside very interesting results!

was the PE of the swamp plate still rigid as the 2 other plate or could you feel a noticeable difference?

With the E-glass that RMA uses in the 1155, I noted no difference that I could feel. Now the import plate on the other hand that used UHMWPE I could tell. I'll try to get that done for next week.

Still impressive performance after 3 years under water!

I think with the M855a1 there simply isn't enough mass there (penetrator) to stay intact after smashing into the ceramic to make it through. At least on this IV design used here.

Matt, have you ever shot a 9x53? I gues the rushinz just took a 54RR casing, and necked it out a little, and then put the .40 bullet in the top. I would NOT be smart to use a full powder charge, rather just enough to bring the load up from 900 fps, to 1100+ fps! Maybe ven bring the weight of the bullet up from 260-80, to 320grains?

Shouldn't matter. Will actually be worse. The M856A1 tracer doesn't have the hardened penetrator

So, you need API for plate carrying swamp creatures😅

You should do a video where you bury two plates. One in a plate carrier and one by itself.

does it really changes something over the swamp ? Swamp is the most aggressive thing you could do to a plate (without beating it to death) in his area. Only more agressive outdoor thing i could see is in desert high temperature high UV rate . PE ain't a fan of really strong temperature but i doubt strikeface would be really impacted

Uhmwpe is made out of the same material as braided fishing line, so treat it like you would fishing gear lol
