NATO 75 - DIO Enables Infrastructure for Ex Steadfast Defender 2024

DIO is proud to support Ex Steadfast Defender, NATO’s largest exercise in decades.
One of the unique infrastructure requirements DIO enabled for NATO Ex Steadfast Defender was the Primary Bulk Fuel Installation (PBFI) at NATO Holding Base Sennelager, in Germany. We worked closely with the British Army to find a suitable location, with safety being a top priority. We liaised with the host nation to ensure we were compliant with local legislation and that there would be no local environmental impacts.
The PBIF can store up to 600,000 litres of fuel, a valuable commodity for modern exercises like Steadfast Defender which involves more than 1,100 combat vehicles.
Ex Steadfast Defender is a 5-month long exercise, which coincides with the NATO Alliance’s 75th year anniversary. It started in January this year and involves over 90,000 troops from all 32 NATO Allies and demonstrates NATO’s ability to defend every inch of its territory and the NATO Allies’ commitment to protect each other from any threat.

Historically you have never been the defender. Always always the offender and aggressor
