DIO fully committed to training Ukraine Armed Forces
DIO is proud to be playing a key role in supporting the UK-based training of thousands of Ukrainian volunteer recruits.
As well as feeding and housing trainees, our teams across the Defence Training Estate are working hard to ensure that the training, and training facilities, are as realistic and fully immersive as possible.
Some of the training areas have been specifically adapted to deliver bespoke facilities to meet the specific needs of the Ukrainian trainees. It’s a mammoth task - the building of Russian-style trench systems alone at one site required the excavation of 15,000 tonnes of material and 70 kilometres of wire.
The Training Estate is constantly poised to support pre-deployment training for our own personnel at short notice, so the training areas are running at a high tempo. DIO teams, along with Training Estate contractor Landmarc Support Services (Landmarc), play a vital role in enabling not only the training exercises but also ensuring that supporting infrastructure and facilities are available.

I mean... Look at the war footage from Ukraine. This training ground is nowhere near being realistic 😄 2-storey building? lol In real life all of these houses are just rubbles
In the old century, it was the UK army that trained the immigrants to fight against the founding fathers, against hindu India, and now training unknown people to fight the Siberians. So sad!

Dyakuyu Bog... and Thank You, British Army. It is a miricle, how much you good do with so little in resources. The British people need to hear the noble voices of these fine soldiers who are very clear in their understanding of the vital importance of everything they do to help and support the Ukrainian defenders of the free world. If politicians continue to fail Ukraine, these good people will be left to fight side by side with the surviving Ukrainian warriors, as the vile evil of russian fascism invades more European lands, including Britain.
