National Anthem of South Africa: Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika / Die Stem van Suid-Afrika

(Turn on KZread subtitles for English subtitles)
The National Anthem of South Africa was adopted in 1997 and is a hybrid song combining extracts of the 19th century Xhosa hymn "Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika" (English: "God Bless Africa") and the Afrikaans song which was used as the South African national anthem during the apartheid era, "Die Stem van Suid-Afrika" (English: "The Voice of South Africa"), with new English lyrics.
The anthem is often referred to by its incipit of "Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika", but this has never been its official title, which is simply "National Anthem of South Africa".

The South African anthem, and it’s inclusion of all the languages and traditions of South Africa is absolutely beautiful, without doubt one of my most favourite anthems. It’s so sad to see what is happening to that country, Nelson Mandela must weep from heaven

Jan Smuts being shown in tbe part where the anthem calls on God to "intervene and end all conflicts" is fairly fitting with his role in setting up both the League of Nations and the UN (being the only man to sign the charters for both documents).
