I have 4 scooters and a degree in electronics. First set it to kick to start you will at sometime forget and hit that throttle when you least expect it. It usually happens when you have been ridding for over a year and get confident. Second, PLUG your charger into the wall first you will engerize it and it wont spark when you plug it into the scooter. The spark is not normal and could cause a fire. Enjoy your scooter. Scott

Hey great video!! Thank you for posting. The comments on here are crazy or I'm just very lucky! I picked up one of these scooters used for a great deal online. To my surprise, I got the scooter up to 47 mph WITH me AND my 80lb. son on it. Crazy fast!! This scooter is a beast!! I'm wondering if the person I bought it from played modified the settings somehow. But it's crazy fast. The only thing I don't like is the battery drops immediately to 3 bars after a full charge no matter the setting or mode it is in.

That pop by the way is the DC completing a circuit from the scooter to the wall. What happens is when either one connector is touching the charger, or if all connectors are close to the scooter's prongs, the high 100+ watts of DC energy arcs in the air, creating a small crackle of electricity. The cooler term is calling it lightning, but it's normal for battery charging and shouldn't damage anything over time.

Thanks a ton for this review. My Nanrobot is coming this weekend and I'm thankful you went over some things to look for. I'm thinking about putting better grip tape on the deck. What are the exact dimensions of the top of the deck at its widest parts? They sell 11"x48" sheets. Would that fit? Thanks again! Hope you get the t-handle fixed! For what its worth I didn't know that it didn't have brake lights either! Woops...

At 6'3 329 pounds, I have been able to get my D4 up to 36 mph and my friend at 204 pounds, recently got it going 51 mph on a flat. Go into the system menu and maybe change your output of power, that could be the hold up. Side note, when I first got mine, it wouldn't go over 17 mph, but it comes set in kph not mph, which means at your speed, you're also locked around 17mph. You just need to turn the speed governor off. Hope this helps

like everyone else my speedometer is off and Im thinking of adjusting the diameter settings. I contacted nanorobot to ask them if this hurts anything else. But Im wondering how to increase the speed. Since my D4 came with two sets of tires, one set is the knobby off road (which was on it from factory) and another set of road tires. I am wondering if switching to road tires will somewhat increase speed. Does anyone have any experience with the diff between the tire types. I am also not getting to much faster than 35mph on the regular tires.

Hello again! Just got my D4+. Its a great scooter, but the top speed is seriously false advertising. You're 100% right, this is a 30mph scooter, maybe 33 if you have a football field to let it spool up. I love everything else about the scooter so far after its maiden ride just a couple hours ago. Well a couple of things could be happening. If your loosing a little power that is normal bc as the battery drain it will reduce in power and speed to a certain extent. Now for the dual motor issue. You might have a loose connection. I would look at that first. After u check all your connections and it still doesn't work i would contact nanrobot and get a warranty dual motor switch and replace that. I hope this helps.

As far as batteries go i don't know the specific brand. All the battery has on it is that it was made by "dualmoto." As far as handling at 50% or lower is just fine. Of course your top speed is relative to your battery voltage. When I get below 50% i usually maintain about 27 to 30mph, but i am 210lbs.

Probably a loose connection unfortunately. So i would start at the throttle by taking that apart and checking the connections. Then if that doesn't work follow the wire down from there and continue the process. Check all your connections once you have the deck of the scooter open. Its kinda time consuming but not hard. Just be patient. If all that checks out then it could be the throttle controller. Call in for warranty or just order a new one. They are pretty cheap. Hope this helps and let me know what you find.
