I'm in my 40's and I've been playing for 6 months now. It would take me a year to be able to play this. She does it in 38 minutes. Amazing

She's been playing for years, and it sounds like you just picked it up. You're going to be a little slower on the uptake, but you'll get to that point if you give it time and practice. I'm also in my 40's and I think it's awesome that you picked it up at our age. Keep at it!

@@MikeWallibo yep, I'm trying my best to put the practice in. Sometimes when I get frustrated or start thinking it's to hard I come across videos like this. It just shows that even a little kid can be a great drummer as long as you put the time and effort in. There's another kid here on KZread. At like 6 he was killing it on a drum set and playing double bass around 10 years old. Crazy man

Y'know, a lot of people say that Nandi's notoriety over the past handful of years is all because of Grohl. That might have jumpstarted it by a year or two, but in all honesty, she would have gotten there anyhow, regardless. She's solid and has whatever "secret sauce" it is that makes decent drummers into exceptional ones. She'd be going places regardless of any sort of happenstance dumb luck crossing paths with a known figure.

Totally believe that too, especially in this social media age. I've seen another female drummer I started following on IG, she was just on Fallon with Willow Smith. I'm so proud of both young ladies, so great to see.

I’m more impressed every time I come across Nandi.

How could you not like Nandi. What a genuine soul.

It's been so interesting watching her grow and evolve over the last few years. She's pretty much set for life as a drummer but I hope she pursues a broad range of interests as well. Thanks for this. ❤

All other drum videos i can't really hear the ride or the high hats whether closed or open.
