Isn't it interesting that the FDA warned about NAC during C19, and then Amazon stopped selling it. BUT, when the plandemic was over, Amazon began offering it again.

When using garlic in a recipe; chop fine, add fresh lemon juice leave for 10 minutes and add in the last minute of cooking to your food. This enhances the allicin and sulphur compounds...which in turn will help your system to make NAC and Glutathione. Protein rich foods plus any sulphur rich foods plus Vit C will enhance NAC and Glutathione naturally. Thanks Mike. Happy everything folks. 🥳

We have been using cysteine since the 1990s when my 7 yo son, who was poisoned with pesticide, had an amino acid test. Both blood and urine were low in cysteine, taurine, and phosphoethanolamine. L-cysteine supplements raised his cysteine and taurine levels to normal and decreased his ongoing symptoms by about 70%. NAC also in Merck Manual for Tylenol poisoning and in NEJM 2006 article for gadolinium induced kidney damage from the contrast for angiograms. I've been taking NAC for well over a decade. Originally for osteoarthritis requiring bilateral hip replacements at a fairly young age. It's beneficial effects have been masked by the other upgrades I've made like like low carb, autoimmune diet. But what I'm reminded of every day is what a great bronchodilator/expectorant low dose NAC taken 3-4 times a day can be. A higher dose taken once a day can cause a little bronchial congestion, but a 300-400 mg dose with meals and at bedtime is better than any inhaler I've tried! All of NAC's beneficial effects are appreciated, but nothing reminds me of it more than being able to breathe easily. I rarely come across any info on NAC that I didn't already know, but I watch every video Mike makes about NAC because I need constant reminders to keep me from taking it for granted. (I watch every video Mike makes no matter the subject, and I learn an immense amount). Thanks, Mike.

I started using NAC when I was diagnosed with NAFLD during C19 lockdown and was offered no treatment options. I read a few papers and decided to try it. I hadn’t considered buying NAC in powdered form. NAC was never unavailable here in Canada despite the supply chain issues during C19. The capsules are still pretty cheap, especially once you weigh in the benefits. I use magnesium bisglycinate capsules too. I think I have a good combo going on now. I’m 70+ years old and living young and well with self-managed autoimmune conditions. My rheumatologist tells me I should never stop the NAC and lauds it as a great supplement for seniors. He also encourages the use of cannabis as a wellness adjunct among seniors. This young guy calls it going old school. He’s now also teaching at our closest med school.

I stopped taking it for a while and the pain got much, much worse. I started taking it again and the pain is reduced. I started giving it to my 2 autistic kids when they were sick. Not sure if it helped them feel better sooner or not but it has improved their moods significantly so they still take daily.

I researched this because some NAC bottles I have are nearing the expiration date. Unless you're going to consume all your NAC powder in 2 months the capsules may be a better option.

Get plenty of daylight which will help you sleep better and stay active walking etc . Healthy foods can help too , and omega 3 and magnesium. Well. Common antioxidants talked about ate vitamin A and vitamin E which are recommended to take in the morning. Are they good to take in the morning? I actually think clove, lemon balm and many other herbs and spices are better antioxidants than vitamins. I might try my clove at night now.

Does this also apply to antioxidants from food? I drink a 64oz smoothie (water + frozen berries) during the day😬. Let me know! Thank you!

Its also the precursor for ceruloplasmin, which is the primary mobilizer of copper. Half of more of the general population is copper toxic ( JOM ) and so NAC + mild zinc supplementation will slowly drop copper toxicity in tissues. There is no blood test that can detect this. You have to get a hair mineral analysis. Most doctors don't knew anything about this, FYI.

It was initially released in a nebulized form in 1963 called Mucomyst. The reason NAC is on the hot seat now with the FDA is because once a substance is released as a drug, it can’t be released as a supplement later.

Mike , the dosage you recommend seems a little bit off compared to what was shown to work in recent studies which said to take glynac @ 100 mg / kg of weight. Which runs into 6.5 g of Nac + 6.5 g of glycine for a 65kg person. That's way higher than the 800 mg to 1600 mg you recommend. Care to clarify plz ? Thanks.

Great video, here is a summary NAC and Glutathione Overview: The video discusses the health benefits of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) and its role as a precursor to glutathione. Glutathione is emphasized as crucial for overall health, particularly in the context of infections, including its antioxidant properties and potential benefits during viral infections like COVID-19. Mechanisms of Action: NAC is highlighted for its ability to increase glutathione levels by providing cysteine, the rate-limiting amino acid for glutathione synthesis. The discussion includes the role of glutathione in neutralizing oxidative stress and its potential impact on the clotting cascade during infections. Benefits During Infections: The video presents evidence suggesting that NAC treatment can reduce mortality in severe COVID-19 cases, improve blood oxygen ratios, and decrease markers of inflammation and clotting. Dosage and Timing Recommendations: Recommended NAC dosage ranges between 800 and 1600 milligrams, preferably taken at night. Timing considerations include post-infection periods, after prolonged sitting or travel, and evenings, aligning with the concept of chrononutrition. Comparison with Glutathione Supplements: The video compares the cost-effectiveness of NAC as a precursor to glutathione against direct glutathione supplements, suggesting potential savings with NAC while achieving similar results.
