Crash Course on NAC - Dr. Osborne's Zone

Need NAC? Here is my recommendation - glutenfreesociety.org/UltraNAC
With all the stressors, toxins, and germs floating around in the air these days it’s no wonder our immune systems are on overdrive.
It’s one of the many reasons I recommend adding N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) to your daily routine.
NAC is an essential Amino acid and is a critical building block for the master antioxidant glutathione.
That’s why NAC is so valuable. It’s essential to:
- Your immune system
- Your liver health and detoxification functions
- Can reduce the side effects of OTC painkillers
- May help reduce the symptoms of respiratory issues by loosening the mucus in your air pathways
- Boost brain health by protecting your neurotransmitters.
And so much more.
This powerful amino acid is one of the most effective ways to reduce the symptoms of the cold or flu and can even help shorten the length of time you’re under the weather*
Join us LIVE on Tuesday night at 6PM Central as we take a deep dive into this amazing amino acid!

Hi... A friend of mine was diagnosed with vitiligo some years aback and i was told about NAC.. After taking the NAC tablets for about 2 weeks the patches of skin started to clear up. Today she had no vitiligo. The thing is the nurse had told her (my friend) that there isn't any cure for vitiligo. I'm glad I'm hearing of more benifits of NAC. GREAT VIDEO.

I've been taking NAC for years. Love to hear the indepth analysis of the positive benefits! By the way, don't ever forget that when C19 was at its worst, the FDA recommended not to use NAC right after it was shown to dramatically help prevent major symptoms after contracting C19. Amazon actually stopped selling NAC for about 18 months due to this. Something very diabolical was going on there.

But missed the fact that heavy metals were already in body. The NAC is helping remove the toxins in tissues. Which in turn has helped relieve symptoms of mercury and toxin poisoning in body.

Vit C (working in unison with Glutathione) is also helpful to use for detoxification from metals. DMSO (can be applied transdermally to mitigate pain, reduce swelling, induce healing, etc.). It also binds to metals, and can move them over the blood brain barrier. To increase Glutathione production you could also consider using Coffee Enemas.

If you live in the UK you won't be talking to your doctor about any of this stuff unless you're married to them. You have approximately 10 minutes each day from 8am when you can try phoning your doctor to make an appointment. If you get through finally at 8:20 they will tell you all slots to make an appointment have gone. You do this every day for a week and you eventually get through and apply for an appointment. They will then contact you in a week or so to give you a 15 minute appointment three weeks away. Are you honestly going to go through all this just to ask your doctor "Is NAC right for me?". I think you'd be struck off and never get a doctor's appointment ever again.

Can't wait to watch this! I started taking NAC 1.5 years ago, primarily to help with hangovers and it's been incredible! My hangovers have always been unusual since I was a teenager - from as litte as one glass of wine I get inomnia, nausea, heavy palpitations, feel like I'm burning up, brain fog, fatigue etc. and it can last for days. The symptoms start a handful of hours after drinking, so I suspect I'm reacting to the aldehyde rather than the alcohol itself. NAC massively reduces those symptoms so I never drink alcohol without it (though I still don't drink often). But not only that, taking a daily maintenance dose of 600mg has made me feel so much healthier and I catch bugs less often. It's been incredible!! A game changer! I've told so many people about it and most of them haven’t noticed a benefit with hangovers, so it must be something about the way I metabolise alcohol and perhaps a deficiency in cysteine, glutathione, aldehyde dehydrogenase or something else. But I don't know why I have that issue. I'm sensitive to gluten and caffeine as well (neurological symptoms). My doctor and pharmacist have no answers. Would love Dr Osborne's thoughts on it!

I also had breast cancer when I was just 28, but I don't have the BRCA1, 2 or TP53 genes. So alcohol is one of the possible culprits that lead to my cancer or increased my risk of it.

I started taking NAC 500 mg with glycine to see if it would help my muscle pain (I'm 75, & after walking or moving around about 10 mins, my whole body begins to ache). I noticed a little relief after about 2 weeks & was tolerating it well, so I increased it to 1000 mg/day. I feel so much better, & can grocery shop now without being doubled over with pain & fatigue by the time I bring it all into the house! Sometimes I skip taking it for a day or two, & the pain returns. I'll take a dose, & within about an hour, I'm pain free again. So glad I learned about it here! Thanks, doc.
