Why Bad Cholesterol is Good For You - Cholesterol Myths Revealed
Cholesterol is a ubiquitous substance found in every cell of your body.
LDL, otherwise known as Low Densitiy Lipoprotein, is often times referred to as bad cholesterol. But is it really bad for you? LDL has several important and critical functions for overall health, including heart health.
1. LDL helps fight infection
2. LDL is needed to form brain synapses
3. LDL may help with muscle recovery after exercise
4. LDL helps form testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone.
5. LDL helps to transport nutrients through the blood stream.
Artificially lowering LDL can lead to a number of possible health issues. The most common class of medicine used to do this is called a statin. Statins have been shown to:
1. Block Coenzyme Q10 CoQ10. This nutrients is necessary for healthy blood pressure and heart function.
2. Reduce vitamin D. Vitamin D deficiency can cause high blood pressure.
Newer research shows that lowering LDL cholesterol can actually lead to an increase in mortality.

I admire you for being honest and brave enough to go against the grain. Most doctors only think inside the box adhere to what they are told to do to protect their job instead of patients.

Can I have you as my online main physician? I used to be on high blood pressure meds, went for a check up and it was kinda high that day, was told I needed a higher dosage. I don’t want to live with meds. I lost 40+ lbs with IF and now eating mostly Whole Foods. Haven’t gone back to my dr yet. Wish more Dr’s are like you, getting on the root cause and not just making all the big pharma richer.

I just had this thread drop in and now I’ve subscribed! I shared the info on this which really blew my mind in a good way with 2 more people. I have one whose husband has heart failure and heart weakness but he’s on a statin. He’s getting weaker, GOD STOP THE MADNESS. She was not happy about the statin reveal I shared, even put her in a panic, but I pressed and said she needs to know what that statin is doing to this poor 80 year old precious man!

Heart disease jumped significantly when margarine came into mass production and pushed by mass marketing. Suddenly people stopped using butter and started using toxic margarine instead.

Main thing I got rid of in my kitchen is vegetable oil. I only use coconut, olive oil or avocado oil. Less processed food too and sugar of course.

Listening from new york, i’ve been on statin medication for more than four decades now. But a recent breakthrough in medicine had constrained me to reconsider lifetime use of statin drugs. To put it simply, I’ve stopped taking said drugs for four months now without telling my cardiologist about it.

So glad to see good doctors speaking out on this. Years ago, I was prescribed Lipator for my elevated cholesterol, but a gut feeling told me not to take it. My doctor never pushed the issue either. I remember a new nurse practioner checking me in, going over any medication. When I told him I never took the Lipator, he laughed and said "glad you didn't fall for it."

I just came across this video through another one of your videos on cholesterol. I have to say that I've never heard a great deal of what you spoke about here. Thankfully, my body rejects medications, and let me know it with very severe side effects. I see it as a blessing, as I'm not on that medication roller coaster. My options are a clean, nutrient dense diet and lifestyle changes, which have helped me tremendously! The Docs at the VA aren't real happy with me about ALWAYS refusing their medication suggestions AND several tests. They've been hounding me to get a colonoscopy for 20 years. I'm 65 and never had one and have no reason to. They give me the home test every 2 years and it's always OK. Anyway, thanks so much for all that you do. I know several people that I want to share this video with. They are constantly worried about their cholesterol. I believe that their doctor's remedy, statins, are the worst thing that they can do. Thanks again, Dr. Osborne! I pray that you and your loved ones are mightily blessed!!

So spot on! The enemy isn’t fat it’s long term sugar elevation in the blood causing AGEs which causes damage to the arterial lining, LDL is like the bandaid that comes by and smooths over the scratched internal surface of blood vessels. It shows up on our arteries because something is damaging it, toxins and sugar. Excellent video!!

Myself and my 24yr old daughter both have high cholesterol and my doctor told me years ago if it goes past 300, it was about 280 at the time I was going to need medication. I was like no way. I was eating healthy working out so I figured it was normal for me. Sadly this is the same doctor who told me that sugar doesn't cause diabetes and died a few years ago at 61 from uncontrolled diabetes. So sad great guy, but a lousy doctor. Btw almost 60 take NO medications, lift weights, roller blade, rock climb and on and on, and what's really sad I can out do most of the ladies at the of all ages and even the 20 something.😔

Thank you for this most excellent presentation Dr Osborne! I have been a t1 diabetic for 46 years now and since going grain , gluten free and very low carb 5 years ago my cholesterol shot through the roof (358). My Dr's keep pushing me to go back on statins but I refuse! My last total cholesterol was 254 which I'm very happy with. My question is, why did going low carb make my LDL go high? I eat very healthy and keep normal blood sugars. My last A1C was 5.4. Thanks!

I take selenium along with D3 and K2 with MK7 , NAC, and many other supplements. I eat relatively healthy and exercise regularly. I feel great! I’m 78… I follow you regularly! Thank you for confirmation I've had this argument with Doctors I'm 65 and had high good and bad colesterol since my whole life but I believe that's how my body functions. I have been offered statins but have never taken any because I don't believe it's the problem in fact last time I said good my brain is protected! Australia.

Bobby Had CAC test in July that scored high (1124). My cardiologist performed a stress test that turned out OKAY. He put me on a statin (ATORVASTATIN) 20mg, which I objected to.After he advised that this statin would decrease my risk of a CVD by about 36% we compromised on10 mg, He also put me on BP meds: OLMESARTAN 40mg and AMLODIPINE 5mg. My BP averages 115/68 which, in my opinion is too low for a senior citizen. I am concerned regarding the side effects of these meds.

This information is so helpful and important! Thank you so much for helping people with the truth about prescription drugs and our health. I first saw your video about osteoporosis on Monday. I was fascinated by it. I have been watching other videos of yours each day trying to catch up! Most of them are from 3 years ago. So now I am enjoying this video. Wow! Amazing info! Thank you so much, Dr. Osbourne! I appreciate you very much! I never used the Fosamax or statins that my doc wanted to put me on over the years. Now I am so glad that I did not! You have validated my thoughts about those meds. Hello and sending you and yours much love, respect and many blessings from Dallas, TX USA. 😊❤️🙏

Dido. This does validate my hesitation on taking statins. After I read our liver produces LDL and that statins prevent your liver from doing what it was made to do, knew I had made the right decision to never go on them.

Now I understand more clearly why human breast milk is higher in cholesterol. Not that I doubted that there is something not right. All that God does is very good. You also helped me towards a better understanding re: ' bad' cholesterol ❤ I have been for a long time, wary of medicines and since my mum's experience with statins and metformin I am adamant I would not take statins ....neither metformin. My mum did not have high cholesterol not even her sugar level...maybe borderline but the doctor wanted to get her on statins and metformin. Some time later, cannot remember how long, I remember touching my mum's thighs, they were as hard as touching wood or even a wall. She ended up with a condition called Amyloidosis, which the doctor explained was a 'cousin' to cancer which attacked her kidneys , until it took her life 😢 . I am unsure which was worse than the other or if both together made it worse... Thank you so much Dr Osborne. The information you give us is so helpful. Regards from Malta ❤

Pain?? he did a test, and told me "this shows me you have no pain" - he put me on 2 times the maximum needed (shown by studies) - I just reduced it and my doctor exploded, gave me a answer that made no sense. He has suggested I need some counseling based on the fact that I don't agree with him.

Excellent Peter.. Cholesterol vital to our bodies processes and the medical industry simply cover that with the greed of profiteering. However understanding the bodies functioning abilities should be our own responsibility. Glycosylation of Cholesterol due to excessive glucose and statins increase the risk of diabetes. Also they effects the electron transport chain by disruption of mitochondria.. Again thank you Peter's your insights are much appreciated.. ❤🌅❤
