Also, I feel so validated in my hate for One Dark Window lololol that was not it and I feel crazy when I see everyone losing their minds over how good they think it is 🤣 Very nervous about continuing Skyward, it really hasn't been calling to me. And have you tried Rebecca Ross' Divine Rivals? Maybe that series would work better for you. I love all her works, but I can see why A River Enchanted is one of those love it or hate it books. Hope you have less duds this year! 🥰

I am also on the One Dark Window- not for me, I don't get the hype- train😂 Buddy read it with 2 others and none of us connected with it. Just read Divine Rivals, really enjoyed it, but definitely would Class as Magical Realisim, writers Romance with WW1 & 2 themes. I am excited for Ruthless Vows - I have theories for plot direction, we'll see what happens! 💜📚

I feel like so many people are obsessed with One Dark Window and it fell flat! I was like this could have been it but it just needed a few changes

Fully support DNFing when not feeling a book! I put Icebreaker on hold recently but I definitely expected the majority of it to be on the ice. Not so sure about it now.

It's so annoying! I ordered books 2 and 3 in the US editions so I can just be on that style going forward but they are taking an absolute age to arrive. Oh I have daughter of the blood on my TBR. I have heard that it is quite dark and contains quite a few trigger warnings.

I DNFed The Blood Gift too! And didn’t care for River Enchanted!

Skyward books 1 and 2 were great, almost DNF'd cytonic. Thankfully book four was better imo.
