No one told me I should do the hair separately before, I used to do the whole masking with the hair over and over again to make it better. Thank you ❤️

Way to go Jesús. I loved the video. The two-step process makes so much sense now that I've seen it. And as for the minimize filter, DUH, I've spent so much time messing with modifying selections and this makes it so much easier. Thank You!

Brilliant! Best explanation of manual edge refinement I have seen so far. Thank you for explaining the principles behind it. With that explanation, I am able to apply the technique even in CS6.

I was always confused about the hair selection. After watching this video, I finally realized that the global refinements also affact the hair selection a lot. The two step process is really an efficient way. Thank you!

Fantastic: comprehensive but succinct delivery of powerful techniques and easy to use tips every time. PTC never disappoints! And, no I had not realized how to do this two step technique in that one could go back in an do another refinement like that. Thanks for linking to the Adobe Stock Image too, was great to follow along with the exact same photo. Thank you! :)

Excellent tutorial! Thanks for sharing. At the 9:55 mark, you begin painting over the areas of hair that should remain hidden to the background; I've found doing this type of edit to be easier using Mask view mode. This lets you quickly see the grey, transparent areas that have been cut into the image by the refine edge tool.
